Hello mike !! I hope you are careful and that you are well confined !! I wanted to ask you about the collisions that you finally recover the ini files. you made them yourself or they are included in iclone. could you explain to me or find them please In case you do them yourself I would dare to ask you if you could share with me ini collision files for men and women. Thank you again for your help ...
LOL -- hey, I've gotten a lot of help (and still do) from a lot of other people on all sorts of things around the net, so I just try and pay it forward. But thanks for the kind words.
Hi there Mike - I have a funny issue? It is with the (Desert Robes for Genesis 8 Male) head cover? I managed to get the robe to work okay with weighted map - But, the Head wrap that hangs over his shoulders will not behave - I tried it ass Hair, and as cloth, but it keeps falling into the shoulders even though I added the shoulders as a collision - Please help :D
Yeah, that scarf is mostly beyond your pay grade. The UVs are pretty awful - the only way you'll be able to weight it properly is to use a program like 3DCoat, which I have a couple of tutorials on. You might look at that and see what you can come up with, but I wouldn't try it with anything else. Also - bring in as an accessory and then weight as the default. This will at least hold it to the shoulders (but, again, you'll need to create your weight map with 3DCoat for sure).
Hi Mike, would you not be best to create the animation and calculate collisions in Daz, bake it there, and THEN export the whole thing to iclone? Seems to me Daz would perhaps do a much better job of the poke-thru than Reallusion does. Just a thought, I'm a newbie so I'm probably wrong.
Well, doing animation in Daz is really hard, compared to iClone (look at any of my videos to see - I can do 30 minutes of animation in less than a day. Plus -- mocap). The whole point of iClone IS animation (while the whole point of Daz is stills). But if you like doing that don't let me stop you -- different tools for different folks (and needs).
Fair point Mike. Maybe they'll improve things like this is their next release if it's clearly and issue. That and the hair and visemes. Next week I finally get some time to play around with Headshot and iClone. I can't wait to get started!
You can do this, sure -- in CC3 you can select the mesh and hide but often the polys aren't exactly on the same lines so your success will be kind of hit or miss. It's always worth a try.
You saw the three I posted? I'm not sure I have much more to say about it -- just play around with it and if you have any specific issues let me know and I'll see what I can do (for the most part I use it strictly for men's head and facial hair).
I think if your just making these for videos the best solution to physics that I've come across is taking the animations and baking the cloth physics to them through a program like marvelous designer. iClone has a terrible cloth physics system and the whole thing with weight maps is just a nightmare when working with dresses and skirts.
Thanks for all your great tutorials! They've helped me out a lot!
You are a great person MIKE, you've helped me a lot, thanks
Thanks much for the kind words.

Thanks, so fast....I try your idea to get better result.
I do hope RL is sending you a generous monthly check, Mike.

Hi Mike, besides hiding the character`s legs, it`s also possible to hide the skirt`s polys, that are behind the top green cloth?
