Hey Emily!! I live in Charleston, WV, and we had that hit us day before yesterday, tornado warning, sirens going off, then it hit..HARD. People were out of power for couple days. It was scary, lol. Luckily our power only flickered, but 100's of thousand's of people all around us, some just blocks away, had none. It's rainy and cold today. I'm sitting here, playing in makeup while my poor boyfriend had to venture out for an appointment. So happy to see you!! Thanks for sharing!!😊

I love those Too Faced Jelly glosses! I got the blue one and it beats my Laneige for overnight moisture. It’s the kind of product where because of the sheerness you really only need one (unless you like other scents too). I love this type of video, thanks for sharing! I also hate the overnight storms. My kids will sleep through most things so there is always the debate about waking them up to go downstairs or not.

I have a suggestion. Actually more like a request. I have always thought the eye look you created using Too Faced Italian Spritz was beautiful. One of my all-time favorites. Recently I purchased the Profusion Petal Perfect pallet and thought I'd try your look using this pretty, pretty pallet. It might be a good subject for a video. Not necessarily as a dupe, but the shades in Petal Perfect lend itself to that gorgeous sunset on the eyes feel you so masterfully put together. Stay calm and carry on! My reason for not liking the Milani mascara is that the formula is ridiculously wet. It took forever to dry. I tried pumping the wand a bunch of times to get it to dry out some to no avail. I ended up returning it.
Last year I had just dropped off my daughter at school and the school was just starting the state testing. While taking the test the tornado sirens sounded around 8:30 am. I was a nervous Nelly. Thankfully it missed my daughters’ schools.
100% agree on the Italian marble collection. I bought it as a fun travel take along for a trip to Italy next month. Disappointed in the shadows although they are beautiful to look at. Blush stick is so dry. The only thing I actually liked was the lipstick 🇮🇹
Girl I'm glad you mentioned how the Too Faced shimmers are so bleh to apply where you CANNOT use it with a brush but have to use your finger to apply. Like what happened? I feel like so many brands now have gone backwards where shadows now need to be used with your finger only. Whereas years ago, you could go finger if you wanted but most importantly brush and wet with the brush which is like basic standards that shadows should meet 😅 i have smaller lids and have always liked apply my shimmer glittery shadows neatly with a brush and WET to get a like liquid metallic look. Can't stand shadows that aren't powder and pigment enough to be used proper. I would avoid them easily enough just not get the certain brands like juvias place, violet voss, glam lite but now even too faced and brands that had it right with beautiful shadow formula like omg the too faced palettes i had all of em collected and was everything to me.. sucks that the only palettes i can get after losing all my makeup in fire is these born this way formula now. 😢

Yeah, what did happen to the LG lipsticks?? I stopped using her bullet lipsticks years ago and got a good deal last Black Friday and the trio was rubbish. Like rubbing silicon on my lips!
hi Emily! Last year I ordered pretty much a full face of makeup from LG's website, that was my first time trying the brand and tbh I was disappointed, with the exception of her baked blushes, which I think look very pretty, everything else was just average, if not below 😬 the eyeshadows have little to no pigment, the baked foundation super drying, as well as the so called lip balm, which was anything but balmy, lip gloss very goopy, the primer I got was described as hydrating and it gave me more like a matte finish, you get the idea, overall not impressed... anyway, I'm glad you guys are ok, it gets scary sometimes too here in central IN 😨... hugzzz 💜
I just came across your videos and am enjoying your honest impression on this products. Too faced really let me down as well. I bought the big palette from too faced, I don't recall the name but the brighter colors barely show up at all on my skin and that was the whole reason I had purchased the palette. I had to replace my urban decay Alice in Wonderland palette that I loved so much but really needed a new one. BTW do you know of an eye palette that has similar colors to the urban decay alice in wonderland palette by any chance? That palette had the best colors! thanks
I had a similar experience with the Juvia's stick foundation. I bought two shades on a steep sale on their site (they have incredible sales regularly btw) and when I opened it, it was basically like dry clay in a tube lol. However I took some portraits of my makeup with a good camera after using it and my skin looked incredible??? So I guess it's a trade-off, but I need to test it more.
Hey Emily! Please be careful with those tornadoes!! Do you have a basement or storm shelter you can take refuge in during tornado warnings? In the early 90's I lived in an apartment in Texas for about 2 years after I got out of the Marines. We had no basement, of course. My family is all from Minnesota, and several have had close misses with tornadoes. I learned from them that you should always head to the basement during a tornado warning. I was not happy (as I sat in a bathtub with my two year old son during one such warning) when I realized that I had unwittingly moved to "Tornado Alley" and was living in an apartment without a basement! That was my bad for not doing enough research before deciding where to take our final military move. It all worked out in the end, but I spent a few memorable times trying to keep a very active toddler in the tub with me, his quilts and pillows. 🥴 Hang in there, Sweetie! ❤🙏⛪👍 You look beautiful in that cool eyeshadow look you created! Since my skin tone is cool rather than warm, I find myself wishing (very often) that there were more cool toned selections in eyeshadow palettes. Most palettes seem to contain many warm shadows with some neutral and just a few cool toned options. Maybe I'm just biased. I won't deny it. 😅 Thank you for your extremely well-done makeup and skincare videos. I trust you the most of everyone I watch on RUclips. You seem to still be the "objective reporter" in my view. OMG I was also a little disappointed with Italian Marble. I do like this palette as a highlighter or eyeshadow topper. Was so sad when I saw the color. I like the brown and peach lipstick but the pink one was just blah for me
Radar information: there was a radar outage but it wasn’t the entire nation. The forecasts were a combination of available radar, past scans and the predictions from the Storm Prediction Center. The big life saver (literally) was the storm chasers on the ground. I will say watching it all like I do (hi, autistic special interest) it was terrifying seeing people I care about like you in the danger paths. As of 2340 on Thursday, only two strong tornadoes have been confirmed, one being the EF2 in Fayette Co here in my little WV. SO glad to see you are safe.

I've got lots of Laura Geller, but I REALLY disliked the Italian marble eyeshadow and threw it away. Nothing but glitter that transferred all over my face. I was ok with the blush because my skin is oilier so the fact that it's a little drier works for me and I liked the lipstick.
Driving south of Chicago on Tuesday was scary. Our vehicle was getting tossed around a lot. Weather this past week has been crazy. Hope you're excited for the eclipse on Monday.

One of my fails is the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind. I want to love that stuff but it looks absolutely terrible under my eyes. Yes they are prepped properly. The formula of it just doesn't agree with me. Makes me sad since it's a cult favorite and everyone loves it.

Girl I'm glad you mentioned how the Too Faced shimmers are so bleh to apply where you CANNOT use it with a brush but have to use your finger to apply. Like what happened? I feel like so many brands now have gone backwards where shadows now need to be used with your finger only. Whereas years ago, you could go finger if you wanted but most importantly brush and wet with the brush which is like basic standards that shadows should meet 😅 i have smaller lids and have always liked apply my shimmer glittery shadows neatly with a brush and WET to get a like liquid metallic look. Can't stand shadows that aren't powder and pigment enough to be used proper. I would avoid them easily enough just not get the certain brands like juvias place, violet voss, glam lite but now even too faced and brands that had it right with beautiful shadow formula like omg the too faced palettes i had all of em collected and was everything to me.. sucks that the only palettes i can get after losing all my makeup in fire is these born this way formula now. 😢
I am rewatching some of your videos today. I'm up by Fairview Heights Il and a couple of days ago and Tornado warnings were all around us.

The swirls in the LG balance and brighten work beautifully but I agree the concept isn't as effective in the lipstick and cream blush.
I hope that Laura Gellar sees this review. I was hooked on her products when she first came to QVC. I drifted away because of the prices and the lipsticks. ❤️
Yeah, what did happen to the LG lipsticks?? I stopped using her bullet lipsticks years ago and got a good deal last Black Friday and the trio was rubbish. Like rubbing silicon on my lips!

Last year I ordered pretty much a full face of makeup from LG's website, that was my first time trying the brand and tbh I was disappointed, with the exception of her baked blushes, which I think look very pretty, everything else was just average, if not below 😬 the eyeshadows have little to no pigment, the baked foundation super drying, as well as the so called lip balm, which was anything but balmy, lip gloss very goopy, the primer I got was described as hydrating and it gave me more like a matte finish, you get the idea, overall not impressed... anyway, I'm glad you guys are ok, it gets scary sometimes too here in central IN 😨... hugzzz 💜

I had some of the marble lipsticks from Laura Gellar as well and although pretty the lighter color showed through more and I wasn’t a fan either.
yeah they're so pretty to look at... just a little unpredictable to wear!
I just came across your videos and am enjoying your honest impression on this products. Too faced really let me down as well. I bought the big palette from too faced, I don't recall the name but the brighter colors barely show up at all on my skin and that was the whole reason I had purchased the palette. I had to replace my urban decay Alice in Wonderland palette that I loved so much but really needed a new one. BTW do you know of an eye palette that has similar colors to the urban decay alice in wonderland palette by any chance? That palette had the best colors! thanks

I had a similar experience with the Juvia's stick foundation. I bought two shades on a steep sale on their site (they have incredible sales regularly btw) and when I opened it, it was basically like dry clay in a tube lol. However I took some portraits of my makeup with a good camera after using it and my skin looked incredible??? So I guess it's a trade-off, but I need to test it more.

Hey Emily! Please be careful with those tornadoes!! Do you have a basement or storm shelter you can take refuge in during tornado warnings?
In the early 90's I lived in an apartment in Texas for about 2 years after I got out of the Marines. We had no basement, of course. My family is all from Minnesota, and several have had close misses with tornadoes. I learned from them that you should always head to the basement during a tornado warning. I was not happy (as I sat in a bathtub with my two year old son during one such warning) when I realized that I had unwittingly moved to "Tornado Alley" and was living in an apartment without a basement! That was my bad for not doing enough research before deciding where to take our final military move. It all worked out in the end, but I spent a few memorable times trying to keep a very active toddler in the tub with me, his quilts and pillows. 🥴 Hang in there, Sweetie! ❤🙏⛪👍

Since my skin tone is cool rather than warm, I find myself wishing (very often) that there were more cool toned selections in eyeshadow palettes. Most palettes seem to contain many warm shadows with some neutral and just a few cool toned options. Maybe I'm just biased. I won't deny it. 😅

OMG I was also a little disappointed with Italian Marble. I do like this palette as a highlighter or eyeshadow topper. Was so sad when I saw the color. I like the brown and peach lipstick but the pink one was just blah for me

Radar information: there was a radar outage but it wasn’t the entire nation. The forecasts were a combination of available radar, past scans and the predictions from the Storm Prediction Center. The big life saver (literally) was the storm chasers on the ground. I will say watching it all like I do (hi, autistic special interest) it was terrifying seeing people I care about like you in the danger paths. As of 2340 on Thursday, only two strong tornadoes have been confirmed, one being the EF2 in Fayette Co here in my little WV. SO glad to see you are safe.

I've got lots of Laura Geller, but I REALLY disliked the Italian marble eyeshadow and threw it away. Nothing but glitter that transferred all over my face. I was ok with the blush because my skin is oilier so the fact that it's a little drier works for me and I liked the lipstick.
Driving south of Chicago on Tuesday was scary. Our vehicle was getting tossed around a lot. Weather this past week has been crazy. Hope you're excited for the eclipse on Monday.

One of my fails is the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind. I want to love that stuff but it looks absolutely terrible under my eyes. Yes they are prepped properly. The formula of it just doesn't agree with me. Makes me sad since it's a cult favorite and everyone loves it.
