Pneumonia really is no joke, I had it for the very first time this past fall and I’m 31. At first they thought I just had bronchitis, but discovered it was actually pneumonia while listening to my chest. Luckily it was still in the very early stages so it was more or less like walking pneumonia I had, but I still felt really sick with it. So glad I got on the antibiotic when I did, felt a lot better within a day or two. Anytime myself or a loved one of mine gets sick like this, I always think of Jim Henson’s story which encourages me to seek medical care right away. Maybe Henson’s story was left as a little reminder to all of us to please remember to take care of ourselves when we fall ill, or it can have tragic consequences unfortunately. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I was 10 when Henson died. I didn’t fully grasp the magnitude of his loss until I became a dad myself years later. There’s simply no one else like him. Jim unfortunately was a severe workaholic, a trait that many of his closest friends always were cautious of. Jim never looked like he took a break, even when he went on vacation.
