- A Welsh classic which is still sung all around the world today. Written in Welsh by William Williams in 1745, and translated in Peter Williams a few years later, these words encourage us to keep going through our deserts, because we have a great Guide who is the Bread of Heaven and the Living Water. Amazing words!

1. Guide me, O thou great Redeemer, pilgrim through this barren land;
I am weak, but thou art mighty; hold me with thy powerful hand:
Bread of heaven, bread of heaven feed me till I want no more.
Feed me till I want no more.
2. Open thou the crystal fountain, whence the healing stream shall flow;
Let the fiery, cloudy pillar, lead me all my journey through:
Strong deliverer, strong deliverer, be thou still my strength and shield.
Be thou still my strength and shield
3. When I tread the verge of Jordan, bid my anxious fears subside;
Death of death and hell's destruction, land me safe on Canaan's side:
Songs of praises, songs of praises, I will ever give to thee.
I will ever give to thee.
So blessed this morning by this lesson on this hymn. Was feeling sadness and overwhelmed about trials and asked the Lord to help me. He guided me to review this hymn from Sunday’s service, and lo and behold your video came up. What a beautiful reminder our Savior is always faithful to guide us when we seek Him in our weaknesses. Thank you for this presentation.
It is Easter morning. Thank you for sharing this beautiful hymn. I have sung every hymn you have shared that i have found so far. I may not remember all the words, but the tunes are still fresh in my mind... now i have the words. As you sing, i recognise them so they are deeply embedded in my soul. God Bless you all. In my childjood church our Easter Sunday greeting was "Christ is risen". And the reply, " He is Risen indeed". How many of you used this greeting or have used it? Have a Blessed Easter Day
Always JEHOVAH never redeemer.
Absolutely wonderful! Thank you!
Thank you Luke. So uplifting 🙌
Very awesome thanks
Thank you, Luke. Are you in a recording studio? You have such a wonderful, soothing voice, just perfect for sharing about Christ in these wonderful hymns. I am making these videos part of my daily worship time.
Tell me Luke will you ever want no more of the bread of heaven?
The Welsh words you have quoted were written by Ann Griffiths, not by William Williams, Pantycelyn.
What a great storyteller and musician.
