I bought my measuring stick used and I really enjoy it but your DIY is very nice! I measured my filly every month since she was born, my last measurement was when she was 18months. I believe she was 15.2 at the bum and almost 15.1 at the withers. She’s definitely grown since then because she seem more even now (she’s 20 months) but since she doesn’t grow as much I’m gonna measure her next at 2 years old. Duke was definitively smaller than I expect. But then again we always see you squatting next to him :)
It's so cool that you are showing equestrian that you don't need to have the fanciest things to have fun with your horses (of course sometimes treats are ok) any other person would have gone out and bought a span new one but the fact that you are actually spending time to do diy is amazing. Earlier, I went riding and it was so good! I rode a pony called Prince and we did lots of jumping! At one point I leaned too far when jumping and then Prince kind of leaped over the jump so I kind of bounced up!! It was so funny 😂 I was okay tho 👍

It has changed now, but earlier in Sweden, we even measured millimetres to get the correct height of our ponies. 😅
