I need to learn these chords in D major please
I understand we need to have good ears to decide on the chords but how do we find possible extended or alt chords for a scale.
When thinking of Alt chords i focus on having my root, major 3rd, and minor seventh in the chord. Then, I add extra notes like the flat/sharp 5th or 9th.

What’s the point of all this. There is no explanation of the chords you chose and why you chose it.
you can use any chords when the melody is one of the note that is inside the chord.
For example, when the melody is C, instead of using the c chord, you can use Bb9, Dminb5, Eb13 etc.
The key point is wether these chords fit the 'feeling' of that song.
