Hey really thanks for the video, and awesome sound. But in all honesty quite hard to follow by hardly seeing the screen and the knobs, resulting in getting a very different sound than the preferred one you shared
The Peak is at its best when using the arp. It’s my favorite thing about it. Tip: In your description you mention that you “increase” the attack to soften it. It’s actually the opposite. A better way to explain attack is to say a slow or fast attack. “Increasing” the attack actually means to shorten the attack time - to give it more attack i.e. increase it. I think you mean to say you are creating a slow attack time to make a softer sound :)
This video would be much more helpful if it was recorded from a top view instead of a side view, we need to see the screen and the knobs used this is useless
Bit of a harsh way to put it but I appreciate the sentiment - unfortunately my workflow and camera setup made it pretty much impossible to film from above, and the idea of the video is more to show the features of the Peak and how you could use them - you don't necessarily have to follow exactly, just follow the basic steps and create your own custom sound. But I can try and make it easier to follow for future videos - thanks for the feedback!
@@tomgreenmusic sorry for the harshness, how about not helpful to me? I"m a new peak owner and was really hoping for some in-depth help in programming. My disappointment leaked into my comment. FYI I picked up a 6 ft phone holder for 30 bucks might help with the top view.
I know this is old, but really nice. I've only got a Peak recently and I love it. I hoping to find more patch tutorials like this.
Very, very nice...I could hear this for hours. The PEAK is perfect for ambient stuff.
It really is! I've got another video for the Peak coming out soon showing 5 totally different pad patches - it's such a great synth
Very nice to see (and hear)!
Thank You for the beautiful song and run-thru.
Well Done.
Thank you!

Good point! I guess I viewed it more from increasing as in the value that pops up in the screen increases but I can see how that would be confusing :)
very nice! i'm wondering if there is an alternative way of controlling the lead note (osc 1) without constantly having a hand on the pitch wheel?
Hmmmm I'm not sure - you could probably do it through MIDI somehow!
@@tomgreenmusic presumably you can’t “detach” any of the oscs from the keyboard?
Is that reverb from Peak?
It is indeed! Sorry for the slow reply!
