I don't have the scanning tool so I take it to the shop for all the labor? Or what if I do everything myself, can they scan it for me and just charge me like that? Or no? Haha. Im having problems rn but no money
What happened when there a bad sensor i put everything new on my front end on my 2006 malibu 2.2 engine new struts new rack opinion there's still a clunk not when i turn but when I straighten out my wheels after turning any suggestions
When you replace your front struts did you replace the strut mount as well? That can be the cause of the clunky noise and also you can have a bad sway bar link that can make the noise as well.
Would this be the solution to my power steering malfunctioning? as of late my wheel gets locked up sometimes when i power off and i have to continually restart to drive normally and today for the first time i got the power steering notice as i was driving. needless to say i need to fix this issue asap.lol. Could still drive but it was incredibly tight.
@@ainoysykeo694 dude thanks because I had to call out for work thanks for helping we weed this out. So many people I’ve talked to about this are like “do you have power steering fluid” ... And I’m like I’m pretty sure it’s electric.
@@ainoysykeo694 okay so update purchased a new sensor had a mobile mechanic come install the senor but didnt have a calibration tool. once he put the new sensor in my steering wheel just goes left. i can straighten it out and ive been driving(its like driving with a bad alignment) since but now my question is what's the problem. guys says i was supposed to go right to an alignment after my repair but i didnt what's my options?
@Frances Fuego is the SAS on the dashboard? If not then take it to an alignment shop to get it straighten out. If it's still off after that He probably didn't mark the splind when he took it apart. So when he put it back he didn't line up the splind like it was before. If that's the case he will have to align the splind for you
@@ainoysykeo694 would that be any different from getting the full alignment with pepboys?i did get an alignment from them with no luck. In that case initially
@@ainoysykeo694 well for the 09 they only said the Steering wheel angle sensor was the code so that's what I purchased so you think I should replace it then recalibrate?
Yes you need a scan tool to recalibrate the new sensor to the car and you have only 1 try to do it. If you do it wrong you will have to buy a new sensor and do it again. I would suggest taking it to the dealer or a professional shop to do.
My steering wheel was shaking for awhile then my power steering went out. I replaced my torque sensor sometime last week because I found out that was the issue but now with the new torque sensor in it was run smooth for awhile then it started shaking again. A little frustrating but does anyone have any advice that would be great.
Man your video helped me a lot I appreciate it!
How do you calibrate it after words
Thanks for making it a short video 👍
Is there a video of reassembly of the steering column? Thank you!

Once you replace the steering sensor it will work normally again. There is no other way around it.

Apparently the sas is control by the torque sensor.
@@ainoysykeo694 hmm i only got the lights in the dash could just need to be calibrated
You can try to get it recalibrate but usually the light comes back. It's up to you sir.

Im going thru the same issue with my daughters car.. let see how it works.
I have a question...i need a computer to reset the sensor?? Or just replace the sensor.

Take it back to the shop that worked on your car they should have some type of warranty on it. If it was done not to long ago.
Once you put a new one in it has to be recalibrated that should help ,you need to go to a shop with the right scanner to do it unless you have one
I'm having an issue with my 2008 Malibu can't find anyone to fix it I also heard that was a recall
