It’s crazy to see the graphical changes from Sport to 7. I really don’t remember it being such a dramatic upgrade.
That's more about the PS5 than the games themselves. Playing GT7 on the PS4 probably wouldn't look all that different.

@@andreasmoller9798 Of course. But that’s because the PS5 is just running the PS4 version of Sport. If you take the PS4 version of GT7, which would be a more fair comparison, then the difference would be much smaller.

9:41 - This the funniest thing I've seen in Gran Turismo since that one random OP Samba Bus during the Human Comedy missions. The way SuperGT baits him like in that one legendary video, only for it to not quite work, then for a random Aston Martin to come flying in out of nowhere to complete the kill... The timing of those events was absolutely perfect. 10/10 gameplay.

That radar is much more useful in Sport. I practically have to squint to see it in 7.
GT7 is a bad game. In GTS, there are 20 racers.

Steve, I think there is something wrong with exposure correction or something, the colors are genuinely somehow desaturated, washed out compared to old GT Sport videos... maybe a recording or PS5 or rendering issue...

Definitely have a new appreciation of the graphical improvements after seeing this. I remember thinking GT7 looking pretty similar the first time I saw it.

@@JohnyG29 guess it depends on your relative scale, but to me this looks *dramatically* worse. I think I could pick which one was which 100% of the time from like 20 feet away. The resolution, the lighting, the color grade, the textures, it's much worse.

When I saw GT Sport announced, I was excited. Then I learnt it was going to be online focused with very little single player content and I was disappointed. When they added single player races and it was on sale, I decided to buy it. Glad I did as I sunk many hours into it. GT7 will probably be my most played PS4 game, overtaking Sport.

Been around since the Forza days. This channel has grown so much. Well deserved
Good throwback, and 7 still has flaws for me
1. Lack of Licensed music
2. Not all cars appear in brand central
3. Invitation Required to buy Hypercars
Short answer: yes it is still alive
Glad to see you finally got the platinum. Managed to get it in July 2020 apparently, and the biggest grid was getting it to level 50. Weirdly does not seem that long ago, but last year was a bit of a nightmare for me with health issues and spent a lot of it in hospital and I even lost three months of the year that I dont remember because of it.
GT7 has been easy by comparison, but still need one trophy to get that platinum, but it is something totally out of my control as I have to get those three Le Mans legendary cars, and only one has shown up since I bought the game in June (well either that or I did not know about which cars it was til recently and did not have the credits). Got the first of the three nearly a month ago and still waiting for the other two to show up.
Have to agree that the games feel different. I was playing Sport right up til I got my PS5 in June, and did not wanna get 7 on the PS4 even though there was a free upgrade as I wanted to experience it in its full glory. When I first got GT7 I was struggling to get wins when I had well over 100 in GTS, and even an FIA win. Took a few weeks of getting used to and I now have, I think, 34 wins on GT7.

The horrible roofcam is in GT7 too. That's why I race with helmetcam, game info off for hardcore mode multiplier
I liked Sport much better than 7. Sport did so many things right, 7 is still a huge mess.

Take a break. I spent countless hours for a month playing gta and had dreams of it. Im glad i played the game but regret the amount of time i spent playing it that month.
Of course it's still alive. Nearly every single community is FORCED to use GTS for their private leagues. Most online players don't give a stuff about daily races and they DO give a stuff about a game that WORKS! You live in a smaller sheltered world than most players Steve.
I would go further to say the reasons above is why the daily race player base is dwindling on GT7 and the public lobbies are more dead after 8 months than they were after 4 years of GTS's release. In private communities that run F1 2022, AC, ACC, PC2 etc are deserting GT7 for these other WORKING sims in droves. PD couldn't have screwed up more royally if they tried. It's the most epic fail I've seen, forget the release of No man's sky, spacelegs in Elite Dangerous or PC2. This is unique because at least the aforementioned games dev's tried to do something about it, but PD have done NOTHING! Even worse, they have communicated NOTHING. Players literally don't know if PD can fix GT7 or don't care.
Once AC2 launches I'm outta here and I'll never be back for another GT game. Ever. 8n fac5 I'll never buy anything Sony again. Their phones and TV's are crap overpriced tat anyway ;)
No reason for me to keep my playstation if PD doesnt fix GT7, i’ll just get wheel and computer.
@@serenityedits1857 the original AC is still going strong on PC. The modding community has kept it well alive. You can even drive a formula E car on AC! But iracing is probably king.
GT Sport still looks Awesome to me, but then my gaming started with Pong, back in the '70's.

Well, I still playing this game with my young brother, because we want to complete every race at gold. And yeah this game have better camera angles than 7, so it's ok.
I really don't understand what happened with the camera angles in GT7. It's literally so bad. Only cockpit feels like an upgrade

The issue with GT7 is everyone drives the Porsche in GR3 races, at least the BOP in GT Sport is fairly even. That's Forest Elbow that leads onto Conrod straight.

I really miss a lot of the way GTS enabled multiplayer - casual and competitive. I was reluctant to buy it because I've had such toxic experiences with online gaming, but now I miss it. GT7 has been very frustrating.

Yes its alive and sometimes better than 7. I don't have to grind in gt sport ,the ai and music are better. Menus are fast. I don't need to go back to home screen to buy car parts etc. Gt7 is gt sport with better graphics.

this happened to me on GTSPORT aswell as not letting me into lobbies either!! so I couldn't race in the league I'm in so lost out on 2 races worth of points, the game said it was my NAT TYPE was at 3 not 2 n didn't know what to do with that!! lol👍
nat3 is the highest level of network security, but it is slower than nat 2, which connects your console directly via your router. you can change this in PS network settings.

GT7 is a rip-off compared to Sport, & Sport felt like a rip-off from 6. GT7 is GT6 w/better graphics, turbo loop added to certain cars & livery editior. Physics suck on 7, more so tire wear & track conditions change in one lap?! NOT realistically. Sport is a better value if you love cars & aren't interested in waiting fifteen minutes to have a 12yr old run you off-track. Just saying

@@Dutch-McLarenJk82- NO NEW rims in GT7, still NO tire stickers on race rims (Single-nut is a race rim), same livery editor(can't select multiple decals at once for changing color, can't limit decal to car parts /erase which you prob don't understand), NO ban on griefers in Sport-mode (I won 10% of the races I entered until I got sick of it). Trial Mountain, High-Speed Ring & DeepForest never should of left so no kudos for that, still NO proper drag-strip, you want more ways they cheated us???

Hello Steve! Hey, you mentioned something in this video that got me thinking. As you said, Gran Turismo has been basically the main content for your channel, apart from your kart races and the other real life racing events, however, have you considered doing other racing sims as your main content, or do you just prefer GT overall. I've seen you doing some F1 races, but I mean like Assetto Corsa, Automobilista, etc. Btw, I'm not complaining, I love your GT content, you're my favorite sim racer out here, it's just curiosity.
The incomplete Gran Turismo Sport at launch is why I switched to F1.
I only play it to use VR once in a while, or to drive drunk with the lads 😅🍻
A VR mode is a good reason to keep GTS installed. And big thumbs down to PD for not again offering at least the same basic VR mode on GT7. GT7 has less features than GTS in some respects.
@@TheChannel1978 yeah I agree, even today the vr mode is an amazing experience. I was gutted when I found out it wasn't on gt7. I hoped we'd have VR races by now but I'll wait.. 😔
The worst part of staying on GT Sport is the map rotation, it changes every month, not evert week as it used to. This makes the online kinda more boring in my opinion. Good job there buddy
