    Thank you so much Easton!!! This helped so much! Last track season, in 8th grade I had a really bad track season. I wanted to break a 5 minute mile, so every race I would go through the 400 thinking, "I have to be faster... I will not accept having a race over 5 minutes. My race times - 5:12, 5:33, 5:22... Then I had one last race I decided to change my mindset. Instead of fearing I won't get the time I want, I went in excited, happy, thankful to run, and not worrying about time. I ran a 4:51!!! This change of mindset makes all the difference, and I want to thank you so much for this!

    During my xc season my hamstring started to hurt, and I didn’t think much about it because I was 14 and never really thought about injury. So it became worse after months until my state championship race. I pushed myself insanely hard and knocked off almost 30 seconds of my best time but I could barely walk the next day because of my hamstring. I’ve been in physical Therapy for 2 months now and the pain is feeling a lot better. So make sure if you feel any sign of pain, don’t be scared to see a doctor or take a break from physical activity

    You guys are all so good. I feel like here in Australia, Cross Country isnt taken that seriously, which I really don't like. I've been doing the local parkrun and gotten a 19:30 as my pb and wish to get a sub 19 minute 5k by the end of the year. I am in Year 9 and really find you an incredible inspiration, since your still in high school! This was an awesome video and has helped me a lot!

      How much are you eating and sleeping? Those are probally the two biggest reasons. I usually feel terrible if I don't get enough calories or sleep. If it is not one of those, I would possibly look at your training to see if your allowing your body to recover enough.

    • @JC-jo3sx
      @JC-jo3sx 6 лет назад +1

      Nic Alba I try to get about 8 hours of sleep but usually I only get around 7. I eat decently healthy and I definitely get enough calories. I probably could use more time on stretching and recovering though. Thanks for the response!

    ok no. so lifting weights adds that unnecessary upper body weight because muscle weighs so much, your lower body running is all the strength you need to run fast u don't need upper body stuff or lifting weights. It adds weight which in turn makes you slower.
