- Cub Cadet Ultima ZT1 42" zero turn Mower form Tractor Supply, Are these things worth the money?
Hey, everyone! Matt here with BAAM Ranch. Today, we’re reviewing the CubCadet Ultima ZT1 Zero Turn Mower with a 42-inch deck. After a few weeks of use, here are my thoughts.
Key Features:
*Engine: Kawasaki engine offers reliability and power.
*Deck Size: 42-inch deck fits through gates and into a short-bed pickup.
*Speed & Maneuverability: Cuts mowing time from half a day to about an hour.
*Maintenance: Easy access to air filter, oil drain, and other components.
Pros:
Comfortable adjustable handles.
Simple height adjustment dial.
Efficient grass lift and clippings dispersion.
Cons:
Rigid front axle for a rougher ride.
Underwhelming headlights.
Overall:
For under $3,500, the CubCadet Ultima ZT1 is a great entry-level residential mower. Highly recommended for those with around an acre of grass to maintain.

Got same mower with the Kohler engine 200hrs 4 season so far it's been a great mower💯 Not sure about them head lights but don't mow to much at night I've got the larger style battery. I made this choice because of comfort in this price range May 5 2020 I paid $2800 from a dealer in NC.

I just picked up the same machine last night from Tractor Supply. Never drove a zero turn before but after blowing up my 12 yr old 38 inch Husqvarna last week I decided to try this Cub 42. I just did my front lawn in half the time of my standard tractor and it was my virgin voyage on a zero turn. I had so much dang fun I didnt want to get off the thing. Back to my desk for work now and looking forward to fighting with the wife over who gets to mow the back yard!
Haha awesome man, my wife and I race to mow also. My son and I had ours in the trailer trying to side hustle some lawns after work yesterday. A zero-turn transforms that into easy money. Gonna have it pay for itself by the end of summer

And let me save you a few bucks. I just purchased the arm rests for the ZT. The product listing from CC says they fit the “50
& 54 inch models” but they do in fact fit the 42’ and install the same exact way with ease. However, the armrests were useless during operation as they sit far too low. I’m 6’3 with long arms and even on the mid drive bar setting they still sit too low. The one and only thing they are good for is leverage when getting in and out of the seat. But otherwise useless.

I have the zt1 54p with all the extras added to it and I will say I like it and hate it. It has 16 hours on it and has developed a small oil leak and cuts funny. The kawasaki motor seems under powers aswell but I do not like Kohler engines so I had to go with the kawasaki

Rigid frame and in even ground,,,, just happens that was the parts that made the video haha I just noticed that

@@JuarezDerrick Yea even with uneven ground it should stay planted but thats my opinion, id have it looked at under warranty because frames are covered.

Take the wheels off the front drill a hole and put a grease cert
I did consider that. Ive got a box of zerks I bought several years ago
that loose wheel should not be doing that
It’s a rigid frame, the uneven ground doesn’t show on the cameras
