    Hi John, love the video, thanks for the recommendation! I'm always happy to help out with any cabling questions to integrate new and classic B&O products together. Cheers Steve.

      soundsheavenly Dear Steve, I have a pair of beolab 9s and a pair of beolab 3s. I want to modernise them and make them available via wifi. I also want to connect them to my non-beolab TV and HIFI. Would this be possible? And if so, with one core? Thank you.

    Love the beosound 9000 , that's when bno really were the best in design , that hexagonal monstrosity just about sums up the state of bno today

    Thanks for the video. I was advised of the Core today by B&O in Guildford. This after having done a ton of research for a mate (who has 4x Beovision 7 TVs, Beosound 4 and 3 passive amps, all linked up with master link and Beo4 controllers and a couple of wall/eye products). After also working out his LAN and WiFi set-up, (removing Red-Eye controllers and cabling), I think I’ve achieved the same result. Namely streaming music from Spotify, Napster, Amazon etc to all the B&O zones, controlled via iPhone or iPad. How? SONOS ZP90 Connect, output via phono cable to the Aux-In of the Beosound 4. If he wants to mute any particular zone, that can be done via the Beo4 controllers, otherwise all controls can be managed from the iPhone. Cost was zero, as already had a phono cable. Put a new Ethernet cable into the ZP90 co-located with the Beosound 4. He can now build out new zones using SONOS amplified products over WiFi.
    Unfortunately for me Sounds-Heavenly’s been out of commission whilst trying to work this out I spent ages trying to connect SONOS into the Beovision 7, which has digital cable and scart inputs, whereas SONOS has phono and optical output. So I still don’t know if it’s possible. (To do so would have avoided running Ethernet to the Sound4).
    Simon

    Hi John, I'm looking to create a wireless 5.1 (or maybe even 7.1) system using B&O Beolab speakers (probably a combo of 2x 17, 2x 18 and a 19 sub) - but it will be hooked up to my non-B&O TV. Can i just run an optical cable from the TV (or Marantz amp) to the BeoSound Core and have lossless sound over the B&O speakers? Thanks, Brett.

    IF I want to integrate with a NON B&O TV + pair of Beolab 17's (attached to core already for audio) Do I need the WISA box, or can I use the optical in/line-in options on the core from the TV. Need to be able to control volume with cable remote (HDMI only box). Thanks!

    Hi John, I have a Core connected to a pair of Beolab 18s and mostly AirPlay music from my iPod. Is there a way of forcing the speakers to switch off when I've finished listening? They seem to just go to sleep after a while of paused music. Thanks, Patrick.

    Great show :-)
    Q: Why did you connect the Beocore to the Aux of the Beosound and not the other way round? Meaning that the Beocore will be connected directly to the Beolab speakers and the Beosound will be connected as an Aux to the Beocore . Wouldn’t this produce a better sound quality? And assuming that most of the time you use music steaming, it’s easier to control the volume via the app instead of the Beosound remote.
    Am I missing something?
    Thanks
    Yoram

    Hi John, question: I have a Beovision 7 - 40 and connected to that a Beolab 7-2 and a pair of 6000's. They are currently connected through my PC using 3,5mm jack out of the TV. Would it upgrade the sound quality if I were to connect the Core to the speakers and connect the Core to my PC using an optical output? Is that a noticable upgrade? or would it be a minor upgrade? Love to hear from you!

    Can someone confirm; if I have the core connected to my router and the NL/ML converter. Then have my BS9000 connected to the converter via the masterlink. I should be able to fully control the BS9000 fully through the app. As in, select CD'S change input/ radio, everything the remote does?

    Hi! Currently have 3200 with beolab 6000. Cabled beolab 3500 in separate room. Would core allow speakers to be controlled independently or would they effectively become one system? Thanks, kris

      If you connect Core to your BeoSound 3200 it becomes another source on A.AUX. So if you stream to the Core you can the press A.AUX on the 3500 and the music will come through. John

  • @andrew1977uk

    Would this allow connecting non beolab/beoplay speakers? Or is it only for b&o products?

    • @BangOlufsenManchester
      @BangOlufsenManchester  6 лет назад

      Hi Andrew, you can connect the PowerLink socket to a non B&O amplifier or something with a suitable line in connection using a cable from Sounds Heavenly. You can then set the Core to a fixed volume output and use it as a regular source on whatever you have it connected to. John

    • @andrew1977uk

      Sounds like a great product for adding those functionalities! P.S those guys that complain about the price of products, clearly don't understand the manufacturing process of these great speakers! B&O is a speaker company, LG produces electronics...thus they can sell their products cheaper! Some people eh!

    Hi John - I Have a Beosound 5, how would I connect the core to this and can the remote control the core our do I use the app?

    • @BangOlufsenManchester
      @BangOlufsenManchester  5 лет назад

      Hi. You can connect Core to BeoSound 5 with something like this Behringer UFO202 U-phono USB Audio Interface www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B002GHBYZ0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_IygBCbHY9QZK6.
      It plugs into the USB on BeoMaster 5 and lets you use A.AUX. The Core is controlled via the app, BeoRemote One BT can also change volume and track up and down.
      You can also replace BeoSound 5 with Core and plug the speakers directly into it. Depends how much you will use or want to keep BS5 with the functionality of BeoSound Core.
      Hope this helps. John.

      @@TheGodfather2504 yes there is a specialist lead from Steve at Sounds Heavenly - if you are using both PL connections then you will need to buy a splitter to free one up, then go from PL to Line on the Core. You would need a converter to go from SPDIF COAX to OPTICAL (TOSLINK) but this is theory would work. Steve?
