My juicy friends! I do apologise for the rather long intro, but I enjoyed telling the story so much! And I couldn't cut any of it further down without it seeking rough and awkward... So I hope you enjoy this one off long intro! Hope you all enjoyed my story telling...
How old are you? Just curious. ^^
Telling a story adds more value to the experience and the review as well. It was a great addition.
She has to be anywhere between 22 and 23.
Professor Juice at least you admit that you took 8 minutes to get to the point
That intro = all the nostalgia, I remember the colour changing Randall toy thing from when Mum worked at ASDA, as that one band says "Thnks fr th Mmrs" :P
I still remember the orientation music from this game...it will NEVER leave...Also if Mike doesn’t go “Ooga booga booga” in KH3, I will never buy another Square Enix game again
Not bad for a guy with one eye!
that’s gonna be the best game ever... D:
Guess you're not buying it
kingdom heart sucks cause it reminds me of neptunia
The music from the city level makes me imagine Mike and Sully slowly approaching you in a dark alley wearing greaser jackets, snapping their fingers with a switchblade in the other hand.
NGL, I would love a full version of Rosie's history with Monster Inc and what was with the limited edition of the game :P
P sure the "limited edition" was to do with the fact it was on the ps2 bc the original was on the ps1
...I think she likes Monster Inc.
(Also I’m down for a video on the special edition if it’s not too much trouble)
No kidding.
What gave you that impression?
My favourite level of this video game is the tomb in the desert area because all of the settings look well mysterious for a tomb at night and the soundtrack is so sacred and mysterious as well and I love how the music goes from loud and dramatic to quiet and mysterious and every time I listen to the music of the tomb while playing the game I always feel like I'm on an Egyptian themed game show
Mike's ball bouncing move in this game kinda reminds me of Sonic's ball bouncing move from Sonic Adventure 2.
god i forgot just how funny and energized you are. keep up the great work, rosie!
I remember discovering you could climb the tree house in the park level and then ride that massive slide all the way down and feeling like I’d found the holy grail of secret areas. Simpler times
Who played this as a kid and then reenacted the different scare noises (especially from mike) to friends and family and was seen as insane??
Hot diggety damn, I remember this lil' thing. I've returned to a lot of my childhood, nostalgia-games, but have yet to seek this out.
For some reason, I only remembered the urban and desert-themed levels, not the arctic ones - and the race-sections were very memorable.
I remember finding the night-time city portion somewhat... ominous? I know it was probably just a wee kid-related thang, but it seemed like almost everything was a hostile obstacle there, and when you went to the rooftops, I almost got a bit fear of heights since when you fell off, there was just an empty void.
Not just a race, but a special race to see who's the fastest!
Sonic Riders
Hey, the intro where you kept fading in and out on yourself talking cracked me up SO hard, it was brilliant. XD And I want to know what's so special about the limited edition version! Don't tease us like that, Rosie! :(
It might just be aesthetic differences with the boxart. The Nintendo Classics version of Super Paper Mario (like what I got) is identical to the normal version, even right down to Super Dimentio saying "GREEEEEN!" when he first appears.
She implied very heavily that there were actual differences, though.
woah there was a ps2 version? i only knew of the ps1 version. the ps2 definitely has better textures it looks like but the same amount of polygons used
so nostalgic still
There is a PS2 game that follows the events of the film.
I spoke too soon! I thought she had a bad photoshopped cover in the thumbnail.
I only knew of the gameboy one. Guess that's what I get for owning an N64 instead of PS1
The intro is completely fine. It really contextualizes everything.
I believe I rented the PS1 version as a kid, and I think the last collectable coin was one I could never find. A pain.
Also, when I watched Monsters Inc for the first time, it was with my mum, and when the Yeti was offering the yellow snow to a disgusted Mike, and the Yeti said it was lemon flavour, my mum laughed.
I was innocent, and it wasn't until later I realised why. Don't even remember when I learned "never eat Yellow Snow" and why.
15 trials, that's right 15 trials.
I thought that was her real voice....
In America, a college is (technically) a school post high school that has associates (2 year) and bachelor (4 year) degrees offered. Universities have those degrees and master's and doctorates (I think) offered. College is used to refer to both of them, no one really says university. Hope that clears things up a bit (it's a tad confusing, I know).
Monsters Inc scare island the musical Mike edition
These aren`t , like , cinematic masterpieces that you can watch on the big screen and be swept off your feet by the pure brilliance of storytelling , and the emotions , and all that fun jazz to do with awesome cinematography things
Wow... now that was a nostalgic trip I didn't realise I needed today! Thanks, Professor!
It's great to see you back Rosie! Love your work :) Keep being awesome!
Ahh such a nostalgic video. A little caddicarus feel to it. Keep up the awesome work.
Dylan-Jack Mark Ingram yee
"I was a stupid kid and threw all the boxes away"
Oh... it runs in the family then...
The changing shirt is a great visual touch Rosie :)
PyRaMiDs
Should've been titled "Mike's Incredible Pyramid Palooza."
I had this on PC when it came out and got it later on PS2. I used to LOVE this game SO much. I had the Monsters Inc toys too :') The Sully that lights up when you touch the points on the bottom :')
Was waiting for you or caddy to cover this! Fucking amazing!
I played the PS1 version and I must have discovered like 20 different glitches in it you can exploit including infinite jumping with Sulley, duplicating bronze medals to unlock power ups early, and even getting the gold medals without any power ups! Now that adds replay value.
Hey, I remember playing that PS1 demo all the time too! The North American version, I believe, was called "Scream Team Training," as the purpose of Mike and Sulley's time on the island was to train to become proper scaremongers. So essentially, this game's plot was "Monsters University" on an island.
I remember this Monsters Inc. pc game I used a lot as a kid that was a point and click adventure game with a cartoonier art style. Set after the events of the film (or so I presumed since instead of scaring kids you tell them jokes) you play as Mike Wazowski just kinda exploring the factory. No real engaging plot or anything it was just a nice and relaxed time.
:3
Also: "Hi Rosie! Good morning! ^w^/ " (watching this at 8:30 am in US Central Time)
Yeah this was game was a lot of fun!
I used to play this with my cousin.
We used to take turns with each level.
He picked Mike and I was Sully :)
ONE OF MY FAV GAMES
"my pale ass skin" this made me smile than it should've
AHHH!!!! YES!!!!I think I had a demo disk with this and Parappa and Crash 3 and MediEvil and Tomba but the demo was actually labeled as Scare Island even though it was a US demo disk that I believe I got from Pizza Hut for PS1.
The screams and laughs are just burned into my mind, same with the orientation music.
Oh hey it’s Rosie. So weird seeing her outside of classic Caddy episodes as a supporting character and that when James became well who he is today, she hardly changed. Weird
Of all the reasons I love this channel, the professionalism is definitely at the top of not those things at all. :-P
My sister and I had this game for the pc when we growing up, ah the nostalgia.
I loved this game so much as a child! I loved the atmosphere of the levels, the music, the platforming and my favorite part: the secrets! My jaw absolutely dropped when i found out as a 5 yo kid that you could enter the "Sugar Shack" the fact it had an interior was so cool to me, the game is full of those special finding moments which has a lot of charm as a kid. Still as an adult, a fun game, even though it's way easier now lol.
Why hasn't Rosie uploaded a video in 3 years? I miss Professor Juice 🥲
Did you mention anything about the tomb in desert training ground
Love this game and great video
Would a kid still enjoy this?
Well, I grew up playing amazing games like Sly Cooper, Ratchet and Clank, and Crash 2. Yet I still enjoyed the disaster that was Spyro: Enter The Dragonfly because kids don't realy have standards.
Pyramids!
Also that introduction could be another video, similar to fact fiend's tangent videos, just to give us some extra juice
Monsters, Inc is, indeed, a cinematic masterpiece.
Actually I might have a somewhat good idea about the character selection (this might sound stupid so bear with me): as far as platforming and gameplay goes, depending on what character you play as (if there’s no difficulty setting), that’s what difficulty you play the game on. If you play as Mike, you play easy mode. If you play as Sulley, you play normal mode.
I remember playing this game when I was like four and I couldn’t stop thinking about it and wondering if it was real thanks professor juice
I had the Cc on when the video started and i cant stop laughing with "jews!!! Who's got the jews!!" 😂 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Juice not Jews
I did not know a PS2 version of this game existed and this is fucking horrifying to me
My childhood game :D
I’ve never clicked on a video so quickly! This game was my childhood!
Tickling the nostalgic bone at last.
Why do you suppose Monsters Inc is going to be in Kingdom Hearts 3 anyway? It was always more of a Pixar thing than Disney. Even if Disney helped them with publishing and distribution it doesn't feel like they had any more involvement than that, unlike Toy Story or Up or Wall-E which DO feel more like a joint project between the two. What's next: The Incredibles? The Good Dinosaur? (Disclaimer: Has not yet seen The Good Dinosaur)
Who else remembers the great days of “Totally Angelica”?
Limited edition unboxing pls
Let's see that video for what's inside that box!!
I USED TO LOVE THIS GAME OMG 😳
11:06 Your impression is pretty good!
This game needs a HD, rebuilt from the ground up remaster. Like they did with Crash N.Sane & Spyro Reignited. :D
Oh my god I always wondered what this game was, I played it all the time on the PC when I was a little kid.
The child robots scared me
It was on PC? also i think there's something wrong with my PS2 version of the game as it just skipped that first cutscene.
...Is Rosie okay? She hasn't posted a single video since this one...
I remember playing the original Monster Inc Game that was on the PS1. Playing as Sully was a such a good time.
The nostalgia that i had for that game. I can still recall hearing the PlayStation 1 intro. Things like that makes any gamer feel nostalgic.
18:24
In the version I played on the Playstation (I'm from the Netherlands) Mike always said: "Not bad for a guy with ONE EYE!" whenever winning a medal.
I remember borrowing this game from my cousin many many times cause I loved it so much.
I want someone to play the Marketplace and Hot Spring music at my funeral.
I played the OTHER PS2 Monster's Inc game for halloween last year THINKING it was Scare Island, and the one I played was TERMINAL ILLNESS INDUCING.
I really wish I had bought the right game.
ROSIE GET OFF THE TOILET I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR WEEKS NOW
Met your bro randomly at EGX last year at the cuphead booth. Told him to give you my regards but he told me to try and find you but I knew that would be difficult so I decided to mention it here. It was weird I was mentioning you more while chatting with him lol!
11:38 Welcome to Monsters Inc where you just DUMP on the screen. XD
I love the new vlog
This has to be one of licensed games I actually enjoy the gameplay for, but not a Disney fan anymore. And also its made by one of the devs behind my favourite B grade platformer. Scaler. I know this will be Disney related but at the same time, its got a use of the scenes from the movie put in with some great gameplay, for a licensed game, whats not to love. :)
The PS2 version has more final scare animations, sadness.
For me what makes this version unique is that it was PAL only.
Sad.
I remember this game I also played it on a demo disk and when u die in the demo u still stay in control but the camera is locked in one position and doesn't move
I still have this or emulate this bc that music is so catchy. You have a new sub right here :)
Oh, who needs a hug? Sully does
Review properly starts at 7:48, if you want to skip the world's longest intro.
66Xeno I know the intro was rather long... And I tried to cut it down but I couldn't bring myself to skip any of it! I hope it's not too bothering...
It can do with some improving, but you're doing a good job with the editing!
66Xeno
That record still belongs to Kingdom Hearts II.
I grew up on the ps1 version and my brother and I used to constantly say "ooga booga booga booga"
If this was the PS1 version you would have had my nostalgia punching me in the face saying: "You! Yes, you! Remember playing this?! You loved it didn't you?!" And up until now I've never seen how the PS2 version looks in comparison.
I always thought this was some Jankey Typing game because I stuggled to type the right letters on the PC version
This was my childhood, I played it on the ps1 so it looked even MORE shitty and controlled like rubbish, but it is so damn good
I love the Orientation Music, but, sometimes the music paused for not even a second, and it's remained in my mind whenever i think of it. :(
After watching caddy for a while I realised you have a channel too so I thought I shall check it out and I don't regret it
Loved the PS1 version of this game as a kid, my brother and I have always been huge fans of Monsters Inc. ever since I was, like, 3 years old. It seems like the PS2 version is largely the same game with updated (and slightly more terrifying) graphics. I'm surprised you didn't mention the market's theme when you were going over the music, that's always been the track that's stuck with me most from my childhood.
22:43 Enough said. :3
I have some vague memories of playing this on the PC long ago
#muhnostalgia
funny and fun as always!
I have only experienced the pc port in my native language(my RUclips let’s play) but this ps2 ports graphics are more nightmare fuel than the PC version. The caracters graphics have more dark colors. 😖
Its kinda cool that you got Scare Island on PS2. Scream Team only came out on PS1 and maybe PC in the states... the textures look nice but why does it look so dark? I have played the PS1 demo and enjoyed it quite a bit.
15:21 haha u funny I sub now
That music is smmmmmmoooooooottthhhh
As 10 month old expired m&ms
3:40 THICC
In the USA college and university are kinda interchangeable as it's 50/50 on whether a specific one is called one or the other
Professor Juice and Caddicarus colab?
No, wait, hang on a minute...
you got the juice and you got the sub
Who's the monster- WITH AN EYE - Caddy
Part of me wishes there was a North American release of Scare Island on PS2. It seems like a pretty sizable improvement of the PS1 game. Its certainly better than the Monsters Inc. Game we actually got XD
I replayed this last year just for the soundtrack
Can't wait to play the Monsters Inc world in KH3
