Crochet Terms for Beginners:
ch - chain
st or sts - stitch (s)
sl st - slip stitch
- insert hook, yo pull through and then pull through loop on hook.
sk - skip
dc - double crochet
- yo, insert hook, yo pull through, yo pull through 2 loops, yo pull through remaining 2 loops
Piggyback Shell Stitch
Chain a multiple of 3 plus 2 chs.
Row 1: Sc in second ch from hook, * ch 2, skip next 2 chs, sc in next ch, repeat from * across.
Row 2: (Right Side) Ch 3 (Counts as first dc), turn. Dc in first sc, * skip next 2 chs, (3 dc in next sc, skip next 2 chs) across to last sc, 2 dc in last sc.
Row 3: Ch 1, turn. Sc in first dc, * ch 2, skip next 2 dc, sc in next dc, repeat from * across.
Repeat Rows 2 and 3 for pattern.
