Thank u. It's easier that way and I don't waste a lot of wire doing it. It helps also if u have a sketch of what you want to make first before. That way, u have a guide of what kind of textures u want to use.

Hello there Nadin, I am finally trying this tutorial. There are a couple places where you didn’t mention the length of wire, for instance when you do the weave I’m trying my best to judge how long the wire is I’m guessing about 8 inches but not really sure. Also when you did the coil before you coiled the coil how long was the single coil. Wow that was something huh? I think I got my coiled coils slightly longer than yours but that’s OK. I’m also using a bloodstone. Can’t wait to show you. Just maybe update the links and the amounts of wire. Keep doing what you’re doing it’s great! Be safe…

You have come such a long way in your art, considering you have only been doing it for a year (as you told me in a previous post). I totally understand becoming obsessed and wanting to create constantly. It takes that type of...immersion, I guess is a good word...to excel at your art, which you certainly have. Being commissioned for your work so early in the "game" is proof enough that you are damn good...and you can only get better. I look forward to watching your development.

    • @MithrilArtsandJewelry

The cab is 40 x 20 mm. I don't really have a measuring technique they're just estimates. The double coil, I'm using a coiling gizmo and this is the longest it can make which is about 1.5 inches.

It really depends on you if you want to use half hard or dead soft. I usually mix both. But in my opinion, when it comes to creating the frame, I use half hard more because dead soft, even the thicker gauges doesn't keep its shape that well.
