I don't like Coldplay, but I respect the artists that pay tribute to the Beatles. It's like recognizing their parenthood, like a son saying "thanks father, I took a lot of good things from you and thanks to that I am here". All the modern rock bands should do it at least once. Good for Coldplay in this one.
Poor George barely gets any of the credit he deserves. Everyone thinks the only talent in the band were McCartney/Lennon, but George was just as creative and inspiring. RIP George Harrison. You will be missed. D:

Why do people automaticly hate bands that do covers of thier favorite songs? I'm happy that they did this. It shows that they like and respect The Beatles enough to share it with people who haven't heard them.

I've had my share of sadness and tragedy, but in your lyrics and heavenly sound---my eyes have been opened and I can finally see that I have worth. Their voices were not technically extraordinary (although their harmonies were), but there was something magic in those voices. They were the voices of humanity, IMO.
Big whoop, people that are complaining. Bands have been covering Beatles songs for decades. Coldplay did a good job of it, and did it because The Beatles are one of their influences. Show me any band that wouldn't want to cover one of their influences' songs.

What are you talking about almost every party I've gone to somebody's playing a beatle tune, I went to a party in Japan there was about 50 people, most of em couldn't speak a lick of english, but man they knew the words to every fucking beatle song. It was an alnighter of sake and japenese playing and singing beatles.

artists are usually honored when other musicians do covers of thier songs, its not like theyre trying to out do the beatles, thats impossible lol, theyre just enjoying a great song by a great band and doin a little tribute. theyre honoring the beatles i see nothing wrong with that.
