    I found your instructions very easy to follow. I learn something or the other every time I watch your video. This is good because even after playing many games and repeating the same mistakes I don't seem to learn anything from my own game. I guess that is the reason studying chess has its advantages. At different stages of our journey different things help. I used to think that maybe just playing is the best way to learn, but found out this is untrue. If we study theory it has its benefits, if we solve puzzles it has different benefits, if we learn endgame with limited pieces it has different benefits, and so on. Your instructive videos the one with London System opening and this one with e4 has helped to start my game correctly without doing any drastic mistake and get into the middle game. Nowadays I actually feel like I am playing and using something I learnt. Before I used to feel like I am only moving pieces. Thanks for your free content. I support you with what I am capable of.

      He seems a bit out of touch with the concept of being a beginner/not proficient in something. His comments imply that the bad moves stem from some weird plan or understanding even though it's just a lack of understanding. Most bad moves beginners play are just random guesses due to ignorance.

    As much as I love this format and am thankful for this video. I would urge you do not play your subscribers and instead challenge randoms please hear me out.
    Your subscribers know who you are and they know you're an IM, This means they are more susceptible to feeling nervous as they're being watched and they're playing a high rated player, This means a higher chance of blunders and there is even a chance that someone has made a smurf account just to play you.
    This creates an unrealistic scenario for a normal person trying to go up the ladder and does not simulate the games we will be playing very accurately. I am not saying that the way you've set this up is completely unreliable but it does add that barrier if you're trying to simulate a true climbing the rating ladder video.
    Now whether you continue to play with this format of vsing Subscribers or fans I will continue to watch nonetheless. But I know that I need to take into account everything I've mentioned and so do your audience watching this on RUclips.

    • @xordid
      @xordid 3 года назад +12

      It's a bit less ethical to force random 700+ ELO players on ladder to get paired up vs an IM for RUclips content. Granted, it is educational and only one game for the opponent, but still. This format vs subs has been highly educational as it is, and as a gamer that's dealt with the frustration of facing smurfs on ladders, I appreciate this format.
