Awesome run! Put a lap counter up on screen and add your voice over and a hits and spin out counter. This should have way more views its more fun to watch than nascar. Thx for sharing the journey.
Thanks man! Appreciate the kind words! The majority of these races are in Wisconsin. I started racing in 2002 at a circle track and have raced all over the world since! Been a hell of a ride thats for sure. Thanks for watching!
@@thatracinglife Thanks. Not worried about front running for a while... until get some experience. Having fun the main thing. It's an automatic but I saw yours was too so ... My buddy drag races a Camaro. Excellent mechanic. He'd handle the build. Thanks again
I have a car that people want me to race in this enduro, but from the looks of it, no one has a station wagon in this series. That's what I use for my enduro car, and it's rather quick at Rockford.
I have done that before. In this instance I decided to push it for the win. If it were just a cooling system issue I would have made it. Turned out it was the oil clearances getting super tight in the head from someone else's "rebuild" that made the cam lock up and snap. No biggie, just swapped in a new engine and it was solid.
Enjoyed the race - have a couple of questions. You seemed to be able to catch and pass cars with ease and I'm curious why. I'm sure your driving skill was among the best out there so apart from that, I'd like your thoughts on these questions Your car seemed to have a lot of power relative to your competition. Is there a reason for that? Based on your prep episodes, looks like the engine was stock. Did you enhance the brake system somehow? I can't believe stock brakes could put up with the kind of punishment you gave them during the race - lots of late braking! Why did the tires not give up? Seems like after a 100 laps or so, they would be so hot that they would just give up completely.
I have raced in a few pro series before, check out some of my older videos of some of the pro racing onboard videos! The engine is totally stock. ($150 bucks off craigslist!) The car doesn't have much power, I am just rolling more speed everywhere that most people therefor I dont have to accelerate as much. Brakes are all stock integra stuff. I have some good street pads in it, but thats it! Tires aren't giving up much because they are low grip street tires and most of the race you are driving in traffic and not completely at the limit of traction. They do take some abuse for sure! But they also have some breaks when you get stuck in the traffic. Hope that helps man! Thanks for watching!
can you make any modifications to the engine? How about a minimal add-on to make the engine faster. Will that qualify, or is that not allowed in the race.
That Racing Life nice! I caught that from your 2nd race with this car. We have smaller venues here in Michigan only on dirt with more contact allowed. But, I'm building an escort, maybe a road trip is in store lol
Cool! I prefer clean racing. Thats why I choose to race with ISS. The racing is pretty clean for the most part. :) Build something nice and come race! Its a good group of guys out here.
Lol. My uncle did it for a while then he switched to racing trucks. But I'm only 15 trying to save for a late model. IDK if it's a best choice getting a late model to learn to race but.
For sure not the best choice. You should be in something thats way cheaper to operate. Start off in a street stock or compact. Move to a legends. Then get in a late model.
That Racing Life yea its a beginner emod.stock gas motor, stock passenger car chassis . Your allowed very little mods to the car other than things like body and tires. Im in ohio and its a pretty popular class after you leave the stock mini class and before you go to late model or east coast modified.
honda,s are interference engines you blow the belt you blow the engine, you might get lucky and only bend a few valves... your call.. I would look for another engine
Watched this whole series and come to find out you're racing an ISS enduro lol. You pass me at 8:07. Ugly looking escort gt #67. Subscribed!
DirtySupreme67 Haha! Awesome, hope to be back at Jefferson in April!
Dang it!!! So close to the checkered flag... Nice skills dude.
Thanks man!
Awesome run! Put a lap counter up on screen and add your voice over and a hits and spin out counter. This should have way more views its more fun to watch than nascar. Thx for sharing the journey.
Writting Hope thank you! Maybe for the next one I can do some voice over. Appreciate the input! Next video in the series comes out today!
Thanks so much for posting this . Really great video. Way better than watching nascar.
I'm thanking of getting into racing like this I run derby's but this looks super fun good race nice driving
Thanks! Only thing there is to it, is to do it!
lol @ 27:03, "ROOM......NO ROOM". This was fun to watch, reminded me of our dirt track experience in Bakersfield.
Yeah. this race was really clean as far as enduro's go too. That was just a racing deal. Need to go back to Bakersfield soon though!
That was badass !if anybody had told me i coukd have that much fun for $1000, I'd be like, to hear Take My Money!
You can always pick up a winning car on eBay and come join the party!
Looks like fun man. Pretty impressive watching you pass so many people so quickly
Shit man. Just finished it. Sucks you didn't get to actually finish. You were beatin on that crap man! Makes me want to beat mine

Excellent job
richharr thank You! Next race is Sept. 30th. Stay tuned!
I have to do this looks like such an awesome time not to mention it doesn't hurt the wallet quite as much as other facets of racing love it !!!!!!!!
Did you race the tires it came with?
i see you have a honda LS and crower makes some bad ass cams stage 3 cams for that motor should get some and springs and retainers
Not worth it since they take your car if you win!
im assuming they all 4 bangers, either way looks like a whole lot of fun :)
Yep! all "stock" 4 cyl cars. Tons of fun!
We can work on ours up till it is time to race, but if we see the podium, we get re inspected
Best damn race video i have seen!
Wondering what state this is in??
How long have you been raceing?
because you are a freaken killer Bro!
Thanks man! Appreciate the kind words! The majority of these races are in Wisconsin. I started racing in 2002 at a circle track and have raced all over the world since! Been a hell of a ride thats for sure. Thanks for watching!

Jay.S it's the iss series that races all across Wisconsin!
Good driving man.
Thanks man! Thanks for watching!
WOW, I was glued to the computer screen
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed it!
What was the cheap roll cage you used
In the roll cage video I put a link to it. It's a lefthander chassis kit
Thinking of taking my son's Dodge Caliber and making it a race car to race at our local dirt track. Thoughts.. advice?
Probably won't be a front running car. But any good running car is still going to make a solid first car. Most important thing is to have fun!
@@thatracinglife Thanks. Not worried about front running for a while... until get some experience. Having fun the main thing.

There are a couple actually, I know of at least 1 Focus and 1 Escort wagon that come out!
$15 for the paint job LMAOOO
Thats how we ROLL.... Get it.
great job!!
Thanks!
We need some Civic Si videos!!! Lol!
Never underestimate an overheating engine, couldnt you have changed to higher gear to keep the revs lower and also the engine temp?
I have done that before. In this instance I decided to push it for the win. If it were just a cooling system issue I would have made it. Turned out it was the oil clearances getting super tight in the head from someone else's "rebuild" that made the cam lock up and snap. No biggie, just swapped in a new engine and it was solid.

How in the world do you know what place you are in with that many people racing with that short track.
Transponders
For a 1000 dollar race car that thing was on a rail good driving
Thanks man! Got it working pretty good by the end!
Hell yea to bad it let loose at the end top 3 in a 1000 car dam it man
Watch some more of the videos. We have a few other runs of bad luck and maybe some good results! haha
can you make any modifications to the engine? How about a minimal add-on to make the engine faster. Will that qualify, or is that not allowed in the race.
You can add a cold air intake and an exhaust after the stock exhaust manifold. The rest is supposed to be stock.
Good race!
Apollo Fox thanks!
M25, Friday night, death race 2000.
Lived in the UK for about a year. Can verify. Lol
Were you running in low gear ? and if so what kind of RPM"s are you turning?
Running in 2nd most of the time. Gearing is a bit off, but I think peak was only 6500 range.
how the heck do they know whos in what place lol theres so many cars! they must have a team of people watching
Back in the day each driver would have their own friend scoring them. It was a mess. Luckily now we run transponders!
What state is this? I'm in Michigan. Impressive driving sir! Liked, subscribed.

I'm looking foreword to the clean racing. Cheap and real driving. Sign me up! Lol
iraceiss.com check it out!
Great run ..
What club do you race with
Impact survival series.
Im in for sure.
Have you thought about trying late model's?
I'd love to. Just don't have the funds! 😂

where did you get a cage
lefthanderchassis.com/v2a/16_viewproduct_product.asp?idproduct=001356
Nice driving
Thanks man!
You should build a sweet beginner econo mod car for dirt track
Donhoejr jr as in modified? Haven't heard of that type of car before.
That Racing Life yea its a beginner emod.stock gas motor, stock passenger car chassis . Your allowed very little mods to the car other than things like body and tires. Im in ohio and its a pretty popular class after you leave the stock mini class and before you go to late model or east coast modified.
How in the world do they keep track of all the cars and how many laps the individual cars have done?
William Ruud each car has a transponder with a unique id.
Thanks for the quick answer! Subbed!
No problem man Thanks! Appreciate it!
👍🏼
Jefferson speedway?
Yep!
You got any built cars for sale
Tanner Meeks if this car doesn't win on the 30th I will sell it. Might be willing to sell one of my other ones.
How fast do these cars go in circle track?
Depends on the track but usually 60-75 range at most places
Why a windshield
It's not a dirt track?
Was the pink car jay orr
chance whisnant yes it was!
That Racing Life did you run at screven ga a few years ago
Yep. 2014 maybe?
That’s my home track and I remember the car because of the cool blue color and you run the same number as my dad did at the time
Do you think you would ever come back
how the hell do u keep track of leaders and losers
Marc King they have transponders on each car and also people scoring in the tower.
ill trade you m ek b16 coupe for that
Check out the video where we win!
that track is too small
Pretty typical for a local oval track. 1/4 mile in length. Most are between 1/4 and 3/8 mile.
Your harness is inside out and very lose lol
I flipped it and snugged them up. lol...
honda,s are interference engines you blow the belt you blow the engine, you might get lucky and only bend a few valves... your call.. I would look for another engine
Majority are indeed interference engines. Picked up a new one for $150 still going strong! Check out the newer vids!
Can I use a 1996 Corolla for one of these races?
Yes you can! Just about any N/A FWD 4 cyl is legal.
Yo, I have a 95 prizm that I'm considering putting in a race like this....😂😂
