Totally agree with all you guys said. If Herrera is playing and hitting at an elite level, DH Contreras sometimes, we don't need him in the outfield. We have to try Carlson every day in center to decide if he's a first round pick or a bust. Especially recovering from wrist surgery, Edman should be the 4th outfielder and backup shortstop. As much as I love Edman, like Bader(Montgomery),I trade him for quality pitching if available.
I love Tommy, and he's a great centerfielder... and a gold glove middle infielder. His hitting profiles as an infielder, we picked Carlson in the first rounder, and he profiles only as an outfielder. We need to find out if he is worth keeping or trading. Let Tommy rehab slower and use him as needed in the first month. By then, you should know more about Carlson.
Well. if Edman is injured and can't play or play up to his ability, ok; but we want to keep Gorman's left-handed power in the lineup. Carlson doesn't get as good a jump or take as direct a route to the ball or play near the wall as well as Edman. Just because Edman is as great as he is (have you not noticed how great?), doesn't mean a number one pick in leftfield is out of position. Note: Edman won his gold glove as a rover (when that was legal), not on the infield?
Edman won the gold glove for 2nd base. Runner up the next year for utility infielder won by Donovan. Nootbar plays left and Walker plays right. Winn plays shortstop, and you need a backup that can play all of those positions. If Edman plays center, then if I'm Carlson, I demand a trade, he's too good to be a fourth outfielder.
Just saw the news that JoMo hired Chaim Bloom as a special advisor. JoMo said it's great to have his outside perspective and his fresh set of eyes. Bloom's Red Sox finished last in 3 of the 4 seasons he was their GM.
Lance gave up 308 hits in 304 innings and 63 HRs over the past two seasons. They'll probably need .60 cent drinks at Mobil the next day if they hope to win most of Lynn's outings 😄 It sickened me how they treated Contreras, and the hubris rolls on as our starting CF had surgery, and they chose not to update the fanbase. Unfortunately, Cat, the organization has regressed and is in need of an overhaul. Let Bloom have Mo's office, and send John to pasture. No more phases at Ballpark Village either, Bill 👍
Slightly above average regional cable journalism as expected. Way to go Cat.
Like AJ & like Foul Territory, he tells like he sees it. You may not agree with him but I like honesty. Good interview Jim
Loved the "Jon Jay" story! Great show Cat!
I don't know how I've never heard the Jon Jay story. Lol that's hilarious. I remember him doing that at 1st base though.
These are great, Jim. Keep em coming!
My favorite weekly show hosted by a regional sports celebrity.
I knew this one was gonna be good! Wouldn't have missed it, thanks Cat!

I watch every game. Tommy is an amazing centerfielder, not adequate... AMAZING!

Edman won his gold glove at rover. There were no secondbasemen until the rule change.
Such a great interview! Love listening to AJ storytell
I agree with AJ's take on Contreras last year!
Cat=Pinnacle of Regional Sports Broadcasting

He'll be good on development of our young pitchers,,we need that
The Cardinals would play to win under Yadi as their field manager, but under the present leadership they don't want to win. NO RESPECT !!!
