Between 2004 and 2022, the Cardinals caught 35.29% of stolen base attempts, by far the best in MLB. The gap between them and the second-place Tigers at 31.55% is larger than the gap between the Tigers and the 13th-place Dodgers (27.86%). Cardinal pitchers also had the third-fewest wild pitches of any team during this span, behind only the Mets and Phillies-but their figure of 838 sits only 34 out of first place and leads the 4th-place Nationals by 60. Hopefully the man responsible, the one with the most putouts of any catcher ever, will make the Hall of Fame without too much hassle.
What's more impressive is the fact teams were much more selective when attempting steals against Yadi. The Cards had a much fewer attempted steals against than any other team. He has that caught stealing percentage against the best that wanted to try.
@@garretttiedje3994 I'd say, the most intuitive and talented catcher of all time to be honest. Lots of people say, look at what they do, not what they say. Yadier has to be the MOST in tune catcher in baseball. If it wasn't a compeition, Yadier would make it a sport.
I would argue best catcher in mlb at one point not even just the cards. The man was also team captain. Amd gave alot back to his family amd charity. All around one of the greatest players to play the game.
The first one is my favorite, great team work, I'm Puerto Rican so you may have an idea of how I enjoyed that moment, still laughing, too bad it happened to Mr Profar, whom I admire a lot. And don't forget RF Eddie Rosario's great throw and TJ Rivera's tag ! Blessings from San Juan 🇵🇷 !!!
So many non highlights of him in here. But Yadi was always a boss behind the plate, don't think they ...... MLB will ever have another catcher like him.
As much as I despise the Cardinals as a Reds fan I still give much respect and props to Yadier Moline as an excellent catcher and he definitely deserves to be a 1st ballot HOF no questions asked
Seen most of his games. That sinking slice over the mound was brutal. Too many times the Cards couldn't manufacturer runs but Molina kept them in the game by cutting runners down.
This guy saved Mozeliak job.. without him he doesn’t cover up all the terrible trades and signings over the years… now with him gone they are in the shitter…
You are unfortunately correct! Hopefully Moze's days are numbered. I love the Cards but the only way for him to be ousted is for them to do poorly this year and next
I seriously HATE these videos. Not just this one but every Yadi highlight video only shows from like 2010 and up. Like he did so much before then. I truly don’t get it.

First ballot all the way, no question
Yadi nabbed like 42%. Backups brought that down.

Runners only attempted 1,370 during that same time span. The next team on that list ,The Diamondbacks, had 1,883 stolen base attempts.
Since Mauer was a 1st ballot it would be criminal not to put Yadi in there on the first ballot
Best at his craft, never was an issue off the field and just enjoying the game...... was beautiful to watch him be him !
See ya in the HOF, Yadi!
Yadi’s favorite Bible verse: “Thou shalt not steal.”
Best catcher of all time (IMO)
Best catcher in Cardinals franchise. He deserves the HOF.
Not knocking you but I'll say top 3 EVER.

1st pallet
@@garretttiedje3994 1st ballot, absolutely.

5:20 the way Wainwright walks to the dugout confident Yadi got the runner is great

Okay but that Mother’s Day gear was cleeannn🔥
Love the guy.miss not watching play
Kudos 👏 👍 to those Cardinals' infielders making the tags !!! ⚾

Couple of those guys he threw out ended up playing for the Cardinals guess they figured cant beat him might as well join him
How many different 2nd basemen / shortstops did Yadi throw to?!?
A lot!!
Gotta love yadi 😆 🤣
If they were still doing amazing sports movies, Yadi would be an amazing casting choice.
True gamer. All timer.
Molina and Wong were dangerous!

Contreras is ok and so is Herrera but at catcher my Cardinals have a huge hole at that position.
Since Molina retired.
The one hop throw out is just disrespectful.. YADI..
You don’t run on yadi. You just don’t. Haha.
1:29, 1:53 and 3:53, Puerto Ricans having fun !!! 🇵🇷😆😀
7:28 how is that a best Yadi moment? Regardless, I miss him and wish he would replace Marmol already. Go Cards!
He had 55 pickoffs.
first round unanamous hall of fame vote or their is no justice.
Ugh. As a defrocked Blue Jays fan who has to endure Alejandro Kirk (instead of Gabriel Moreno) this is painful to watch.
Why are there videos of people being thrown out when yadi is batting?
Ai video? Everytime some one says Molina post the clip and make it 12min long
I seriously HATE these videos. Not just this one but every Yadi highlight video only shows from like 2010 and up. Like he did so much before then. I truly don’t get it.
