Thanks for doing this video. I just installed a set of ToAuto DROs on my South Bend 13" lathe and the instructions sent were not very clear or complete. Your video made it easy to set up and all is good now. Saved me a lot of time setting the DRO up. Thanks again.
You are one smart dude. I just bought one of these and the Chinese instructions are total junk. Thank you for you efforts. You made my life much easer.
There is a vast chasm between precision and accuracy. When calculators were introduced into school, the kids did not learn their tables to 8 places of precision, they stayed with whole numbers. The uninitiated felt that the digital watch saying that it was 8:59:00 was more reliable than my analogue timepiece which told me that it was nearly 9 o'clock and school was starting soon!! Stavros
Brilliant information but Display 3 is for a 3 axis setup XYZ Axis yours is for a lathe so it should be set 2 XY Axis, I have the three axis version on my mill so while I no some things there is a lot I have not figured out yet my sense is that some of the set ups are for full on CNC rather than my mill which is manual. These DRO scales are set for millimetres the inch scale is a calaulated value

Thats what the comp is for, if your scale is measuring wrong you can correct the scales measuring with the comp.
Thanks, just saw for $140 shopped it's finally time to add a dro to the old pratt n whitney.
My question is this, does it have tool memory?
thanks for doing this video...getting ready to buy one of these for my jet lathe......do i sense a pittsburgh accent?
I would say a mix of Southern VA and South Central PA mostly.
1.500mm plus or minus id the largest you can compensate for. Page 25 of user manual explains this.
Thanks for sharing this
I guess these instuctions cover all SNS-3V and SNS-2V models too
Can't say for sure which models. I can say there alot of these under diffrent names but are identical they just have different decals on them!
