I always thought there were some religious lyricism spread subtly throughout the album, and some songs even sounded like hymns to me, “synthpop hymns” I guess you can say haha. Heck, even the KKB sample in Musician was a hymn itself, as said by Porter himself

I cannot wait to hear this. Nurture released at a time in my life where I am going thru something that is very hard for me so I have cried and cried listening to the album or watching anything that has this album's music in it. Porter is coming to my state in November. I hope all goes well and I can see him preform and be in the presence on that talented man! Goodness! I think he is perfect! Hearing Porters Nurture album got me back into playing piano again after years of not playing. This song in particular! There’s just something so tranquil and beyond beautiful about it. I’m still a beginner and never really learned how to play other then watching others play, but hearing you play just inspires me more to keep at it and get better. I have a long way to go but I know the journey will be fun~
P.s. I cry every time I listen to you play~ 😭

One of the most beautiful compositions I've heard in my life. It brought me to tears the first time I listened to it after midnight.
I cried when I first heard it too, last month, probably around midnight. The notes are so simple yet so heavy... 💛😭
@@keudae For me as an aspiring producer, it was the amount of subtle nuance and passion I felt that Porter poured into the album to make it feel alive - like the sounds of him taking breaths, the mouse clicking between the vocal chop, leaving a metronome in some spots, down to the subtle production elements like the white noise rhythm over the piano notes in the interlude, the use of binaural beats and stereo space to create movement. I am still tempted to make a whole video highlighting and breaking down some of the techniques and nuances. It's such a gift. And of course - not as an afterthought, I promise - your cover is a beautiful and really impressive tribute as well. :)
There's just something about hearing it keudaefied, watching the expressions you make when you're REALLY feeling it, the smirk, sneaking it that little bit from something comforting and ending the credits with unfolddd ughhhh.....it all just hits so different

Killer cover. I still cannot believe how much people are sleeping on this album. It's a legitimate masterpiece that might go onto to change the EDM genre and yet never hear Porter Robinson talked about on mainstream radio. He deserves some reverence.

Me and my son love your porter Robinson covers (he's 5) and he said you look like you're having a hard time with how hard it is bc of your facial expressions but I said I think it's bc she's feeling the music/ getting emotional. But I would love to here your own take on your expressions while playing and I'll pass it on to him! Awwwww hi to your son! He pays such close attention to my face, oh my gosh! This song in particular was a challenge because the tempo isn't set in the middle portion. Also, if I'm recording a cover it means I know the lyrics well enough to hear them in my head and these really make it hard not to cry, haha. If a song is sad, I can hear it all in my head and feel it and try to play it. If a song is happy, it's literally hard not to laugh and smile because I can hear those words in my head too :) Sorry, long winded explanation about facial expressions lol! I hope you and your son like the rest of my Porter covers toooooo ♥️

Thanks for doing one of my fav songs from Nurture! I love your decision to simplify the intro, but still enough to build contrast to the middle part (what I call a cradling melody). Despite being a solo cover, I feel nothing was missed from the original feel...which still amazes me! (I promise I try to keep these short, but they always just turn into me fangirling over your performance) ❤️
I tried SO HARD to yes retain everything from the original but in a way that was interesting on just one instrument, also knowing most people will completely ignore the first 3 minutes 4 seconds :) It's okay, long comments are really nice haha (unless they're mean and then it's all bad lol) ❤️❤️❤️
