Croc monitors are one of the most amazing lizards out there. They are really big ans they do have a nasty bite u not want to take a bite from them . They have some nasty teeth lol

Incredible video man, I figured you were acquiring another monitor in the family 🤗 the hide and enclosure look amazing, love the fire-treated wood. You're gonna have a blast with your new baby! Dug the flotsam and jetsam reference, not many are keen on nautical terms.
Not so much of a fan of bigger lizards (prefer the smaller ones) but I’m loving that enclosure! I would dig out a deeper hole and mesh it up too for the plant as to make it less escapable but maybe you know more about it’s psychology than I do? Some animals only dig need the boundaries and give up if they cannot perceive where the barrier actually starts. Who knows? Looking forward to seeing what other legging you make and that lower platform was a stroke of genius!

I think it would be more secure if you went ahead and closed in that hole in the bottom. Since you are going to have so much substrate for it whatever you plant in it will grow through the wire. It is going to look great I'm sure.
If that is PVC coated wire there is a place in Saint Petersburg Florida where you can purchase that. I got some half-inch for my rhino iguana enclosure

Hey Kenan, I would totally seal the bottom of the cage and not leave a hole. I’m sure the roots will go threw the wire no problem without the hole.
