I've just purchased an Elite 5 from Snugpak and it is made out of unbelievably good quality material. It's so bloody warm as well, it's gorgeous. However because of its warmth rating it does need to be squashed down quite a bit.

So.... Basically, you just stuff it in the bag then...?

I simply sit on the Antartica bags and pull the straps giving a quarter turn between pulls. When the knee is not enough, or you are wearing winter gear.

I sometimes struggle, so now can't wait to try how you recommend, and I thought you deliberately sent the stuff sacks smaller than the sleeping bag he he

Basically how I've been doing it for donkey's years but... at least now I know I'm doing it the right way. Always good to get the official version. Love your stuff; I have the enhanced patrol poncho, the jungle bag and jungle blanket. I was wondering what they are rated down to when used together.

They go a lot smaller if you sit on the bag to compress it and then pull the straps until they're tight.

And stuffed like this is fine for long term storage? Without fully compressing it with the straps?

Nope, remove it and hang it in a cool and dry place like a closet. Only put it in the compression sack when you're packing to go somewhere 😉

Thanks for the video! I was wondering how to do it right now that I've just bought one of your sleeping bags?
Any tips on how to store when not in use? Should I just leave it in the bag, as much uncompressed as possible? Or should I leave it out of it?

Pablo Veyrat always out of the stuff sack and uncompressed.

I have a 4 season sleeping bag and it is impossible to get it back into the original pack it came in. Several people have tried it and nope the bugger wont fit back in. I'm sure some companies vacuum pack some sleep systems before shipping them out. It's a real pain because I like to have all my camping gear fit into my rucksack so i don't look like a Out back Jack with all them pots and stuff hanging off my rucksack, I've now gone for a 2 season sleeping-bag which is fine for warm nights but in Scotland that's rare and more often than not I get cold at night.

So add a jungle blanket and it should do the business. I have a sleeping bag and a US army poncho liner combo that kept me warm for decades; I've now switched to the Snugpak Jungle bag and Jungle Blanket and can't wait for winter.
