- Just like many other great fighting stories of Bruce Lee, there was once a Stuntman who worked with Bruce Lee in 1973, surprise attack Bruce Lee on the film set of Enter The Dragon. The name of the stuntman is Yuen Wah, he said in an interview that he regrets instantly after he tried to attack Bruce Lee. In the early 1970s, Yuen Wah was Bruce Lee’s stunt double for Fist of Fury and also Enter the Dragon. Yuen Wah is one of the best action film actor, choreographer, stuntman, and martial artist who deserved a big LIKE from any of you, don’t you think so? BruceLeeRealFight Great stuff, keep it coming I am a new subscriber and a martial artist as well. Brandon Lee was incredibly gifted like his only sister Shanon .
BruceLeeRealFight THANK U .👍🙏🏾😎.
Yuen Wah is almost 70 years old now and I truly believe he is still able to do that backflip! The last time I see him doing a backflip was when Yuen was 50+ years old! This is awesome! Deserved a super big LIKE.
And he was in Eastern Condors as well
Steven Pang : NOT AT 70- YEARS OLD .!!!!!! . NOT EVEN , CHAKIE CHAN , TODAY.!!!!!!! . 🙏🏾😂🤣😂🙏🏾👍....

@John Molloy agree! Stay in shape is what matters
Yuen wAh
Kung fu hustle was a freakin’ hilarious movie. Never realized Yuen was the landlord.
Awesome film
Yuen is an under rated martial artist. I met him in hongkong several years back. He is a very nice guy.
Very very nice guy.
But he is a good supporting actor in Stephen Chow films.
Agree.
@R G what the fuck are you talking about
For the record Jackie Chan was also an extra in Enter the Dragon.
Jackie was his double in Fist of Fury, the famous long flying fall
He was the one who grabbed Bruce from behind and Bruce reversed it and broke his neck in the underground fight scene
Tony jaa
Jackie
Lee

All were there in etd
Yep, Bruce was holding him simultaneously kicked another guy down and then snapped Jackie's neck😎
Didn't know that.
Holy shit it's the landlord from kungfu hustle, one of my top ten kungfu movies of all time, very funny and action packed.
Red Ortiz that is awesome I didnt recognize him til u pointed it out
Yeah I thought so too!
Would have fooled me as well...
Yea i kept looking cause he looked so familiar. kung hustle that was such a great charactet he played
I knew he looked familiar from somewhere! At first I thought he was Betty from the Kung Pow movie! Both are great movies!
My thoughts also!
Everyone: Yuen Wah is an old martial artist and a respectable human being.
Me: Eeeey it's that guy who plays the husband of the Lion's Roar lady in Kung Fu Hustle
I was searching for this comment 🤘🤣

I always thought that was Bruce Lee who did the flips and stuff in Enter the Dragon!!!! Bruce Lee could do those flips if he wanted to right??????
Kung fu Hustle was a fun movie :) .
I failed to see the "regrets instantly" part.
The majority of these titles are clickbait.
that was us mate when we fell for this clickbait, "I regretted it instantly, I'm sure you did as well"
@@billhassell434 It was a good doco on an amazing guy though. Clickbait title should have read more like: Young stuntman could probably take Bruce Lee.
yea total bs. instant dislike. i hate when people do that. go sell a fuckn used car.
I'm with you 🙄
Wow!! Bruce Lee chilled him out with two words.."Don't Play"🤣
I like these stories about people who knew and worked with Bruce Lee and still in their old age show nothing but respect for a man who died in 1973.
Yep, he died 49 years last Wednesday ago.
Like Yuen Biao, Yuen Wah is also one of Jackie Chan's closest friends. They worked together in many films like, Police Story and Supercop. Yuen Wah definitely deserves a big Like from all martial arts fans.
Yah. Anyone that helped "THE BRUCE" in his famous films deserves a big thank you. That said, BRUCE is the man & always will be.
Bruce Lee was an icon when I was growing up in the 70s, my brothers and I would watch his movies then go and practice his moves in the back yard, those were good times.
And then came the haters.
..my whole life i thought bruce did that back spring flip from the floor as well as the flips in the intro....i never would have guessed a stunt man had has body type to double for him...unbelievable
Bruce Lee could do that but his back is hurt, so Yuen Wah performed it for him to lower the risk. Yuen Wah was well-known for his acrobatic skills at that time. He was a close friend of Bruce Lee.
BruceLeeRealFight ...ive seen Yuen Wah in another interview of present time. He still excercises and its amazing to know he was friends with bruce
The last backflip I see Yuen Wah did was 10+ years ago, he was 50+ years old that time, truly amazing!
It was disappointing to learn after all these years. I would had been more disappointing if that last flip had not had been him where he faced the elders on the ring. Now I have to look at the film entirely different when I see it again.😕
Rafael Bernadine ...same here man! I reallyyy believed bruce was super human..no stuntman needed. But I guess movies are movies and people will use his back an exscuse
Because of that backflip, this confirms that Marshal Law is really Yuen Wah 😳
Because Tekken is life!
Nooooooooooo😭😭😭
"KUNG FU HUSTLE" was my sht..still one of my favorite movies. His sleepy, lazy, drunk fighting style was hilarious.
so thats why I kind of remembered his face 😂 he's the landlord
King fu hustle😅😅
But i remember him as the enemy final boss in project A
Same
Dannn he does few movies with Jackie Chan and Sammo Huang. He always played as the bad guy.
He was always with Stephen Chow last 1990 and 1991.
They don't come any more gorgeous than that lady in the interview.
She is quite stunning isn't she.

Bruce Lee: "WOOOOOOO! MEEEeeeeoooowww..! PEACE!" :D
Stuntman: ":( Yeah I am the fool that attacked him" :(
He was in ridiculously great shape ! If you think of it , very few of our super buff action stars even come close ! Back in that day it was extra incredible ! I grew up watching him on the Green hornet and just thought he was the coolest and the star
Here's the "BIG THUMBS UP" for Yuen Wah! DUDE PERFECT!
Yuen Wah is legendary stuntman of all time
Let's not forget the scene in Enter the Dragon where Bruce kick a guy three times in the face and the guy standing the crowd started laughing. 😆
OMG, HE IS IN KUNG FU HUSTLE!!!! Dude, I love that film, one of my top 10 movies! Think I may watch it now to be honest!
I loved KungFu Hustle so much. I recognized him immediately at the first frames of the video. If you haven't seen that movie drop everything you are doing and watch it immediately. Awesome movie. Edit: I would strongly suggest to watch the original version with english subtitles. The voices of the actors are a important part of the movie.
My favourite scenes are the Axe gang attacking the block and the three heroes step up and the finale 😂
@@LJAndrews1986 Yes. Mine is The Beast reveal with the interrogation and bullet scene. My jaw stayed dropped for the rest of the movie.
1:53 Lmao that Kick was so strong that Bruce Kicked 1 feet above the guys head and still Launched him! :D I am going to get a 6 pack of Kokanee(Beer), Bag of Chips with Chip Dip, and a couple joints then having a Marathon of 70s/80s Chinese Fighting Movies tonight! Its been a few years since I enjoyed one
Not just a big LIKE to Yuen Wah but i would like to give him a big hug. Great to know that he was the stunt double for Bruce Lee.
I won't, i can't accept Bruce didn't do his own back flips in 'Enter the Dragon.' Lies i tell you...lies!!!😫😢😭
Bruce Lee hurt his back badly while working out in 1970. It left him in the hospital for some time. That's why he didn't do the backflips.
Its oblivious those flips arent even real in beginning of the film
Bruce's Gung Fu was amazing. He was not as good at acrobatic leaps like they showed his stunt double doing. This was mentioned in a recent biography, 'Bruce Lee, A Life', which came out in 2018. That was partly due to a severe back injury he got not too long before 'Fist of Fury' and 'Enter the Dragon' that Lee suffered in a training accident in California. He was told at the time he may not ever walk again and would be in hospital for maybe a year. He insisted he would be fine and began exercising in the hospital and walked out in a few weeks time! This left him unable to do some acrobatic moves. But as far as kicking and punching he was unbeatable.
I'm sure it was a pleasure and honor to do this for Bruce Lee, at the time he had those injuries, knew the risk and reward.
@@brianmucha6426 I agree. He was extremely focused, fast and powerful. He obviously had an extreme mental toughness to have accomplished so much after his injury too. It's too bad he died so young!
Yuen Wah was also in Jackie Chan's boyhood "Chinese Opera" school. Jackie said he was the best gymnast in the school and could literally fall asleep while holding a handstand.
@John Molloy You have done it ot seen it happen?
@John Molloy 😂😂😂Dude, that's not even remotely the same fucking thing. The monkey bars held your weight. Yuen Wah had to actually use his body to hold the pose. You only hung with your feet locked up by the next bar, so your entire body weight was held by the monkey bars. Yuen had to actually support his ENTIRE BODY WEIGHT with his hands. Why do you want to be a fucking goofy fuck? 😂😂😂😂 God damn. Hahahahahahaha!
Also, it might be easy to fall asleep doing a handstand when you're propped against a wall or another vertical object, but to what Jackie was referring was his ability to hold one while asleep without the assistance of any objects on which he could rest his body with or lean against. I hate that people like you make me hate people like you.
@John Molloy I actually apologize, because I had no idea you were working an anthology. You have quite a lot of time being able to pretend you're witty, especially since you're too old to talk to me (your words), yet you continue with every feasible way possible to keep in contact with someone so much younger than you that has dismissed several of your infatuated attempts to prolong conversation while they keep trying to end your Uncle Creepy case. Where's the applause signal?
Kung Fu Hustle is a great movie! Lots of great fight scenes as well as being funny. "who's throwing handles?" …….loved it!
OMG, I honestly thought for 40 years, it was Bruce Lee who did that backflip. RUclips, you have ruined my memory! 😢

Take a bow Yuen Wah absolutely Amazin work.
Great to see this stuntman get the recognition he deserves. I always knew that Bruce didn't do those flips but didn't know who did them. In fact, when Yuen finishes, you can see that his back is less developed than Lee's. But I wasn't sure about the flip and kick with Bob Wall because of the Lee-like dancing afterward.
Yuen is an amazing acrobat and stuntman. What a fantastic career this talented man has had.
I never knew that wasn't ol Bruce. How cool .
I find it hard to believe that iconic back flip kick in enter the dragon wasn't Bruce Lee

Bruce had stunt double because he was to fast to do back flip for the camera to capture. That's the only reason

Actually it was his back problem that stopped him from doing his own stunts.
Bruce was the ultimate warrior. A man who has really trained to fight is deadly.
all he really needed was experience sadly we dont have enough proof of his fights :(

@@twocents4912 I'm not against bruce lee at all, if he had even more experience than his way of fighting would be extremely unmatched, unfortunately he preferred not to talk about these things, I for one believe he beat wong Jack man.
That was great, wow who knew that wasn't really Bruce who did that backwards flip flying kick thing in Enter The Dragon. Stunt doubles deserve so much more recognition huh 👏
Wow didn't know the stuntman did that stuff. Been watching Bruce since 76. Respect to the dude.

All my life I was wondering if it was really Bruce Lee who did the acrobatics in Enter the Dragon until I found this video.
Damn ! Yuen Wah is one of those guys you learn to love and hate in movies. I never knew who he was but loved his acting !
Thanks for the video !
I left Mi. to find him. I FELT him in me. I needed to meet him. Got to Denver when new friends told me he was dead. I thought they were messing with me. Found somebody I understood ... somebody I wanted to learn from. So much for that particular journey...but we can still learn from the past - it's right there in front of us.
Bruce Lee did know how to flip. You can see it in some of his other films when he's training someone. He could do your basic back flip or backwards somersault. Those are easy to do. He just didn't waste his time doing all those acrobatic stunts in his fighting but, he DEFINITELY could do flips! I've seen it with my own eyes and it was very impressive, effortless and smooth.
Steven Segall taught him that backflip.

Absolutely D. Lou, Jackie Chan was used in the staff screen and Lee tagged Jackie in the face. Lee, after the director said cut was so apologetic, feeling horrible. Jackie was such a huge fan he acted more hurt than he was so Lee would continue the apologetic process. Just didn't want Lee to stop. It's a fond memory for Jackie and a great story.

To True martial artist Bruce Lee was a myth.
For the records, Yuen Wah is not just a stuntman, he is one of the famous Seven Little Fortunes alongside with Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung, Yuen Biao, all who are students studied under Chinese Opera Academy master Yu Jim-Yuen. All of the Seven Little Fortunes are exceptional with their acrobatic, fighting and acting skills because they went through extreme training since very young age.

My father once had a book that showed Bruce Lee doing some of those flips shown here that you claim were done by the stunt double, the pictures in that book were still pictures that were taken so clear you can make out Bruce Lee's face doing those flips, even where he was upside down.
Oh my God that guy is Yuen Wah? Literally saw him in so many hong Kong films I watched, his character is so cool.
Thank you for the information wow! Awesome!!
Don't know how true it is but one of the women(not sure Nora Miao or who) that was in Bruce's films stated that many of the stunt men were apprehensive about doing fight scenes with Bruce because they feared he might accidentally punch or kick them. These were guys who had done tons of fight scenes before but obviously Bruce displayed a level of speed and power that they hadn't dealt with prior and they thought if anything went wrong, someone was going to get seriously hurt. Remember at the time they were doing what was called "touch fighting" in these films which meant the blow was not always pulled short but rather for extra realism Bruce would strike all the way to just barely coming into contact. But Bruce had incredible control and I think only a few minor incidents took place.
At that time Bruce was severely injured in his back that's why he didn't do backflip.Bruce Lee could have done backflip if his back was not injured. To lower the risk of back pain, he help Bruce.
I always thought it was Bruce doing the rainbow kick...
