I ordered these a few days ago when I picked up my M3LR. I like the Tesla Aero rim covers and especially the demonstrated range extension they afford but I wanted to see the spoke rims when I’m not going to be on a long trip where I need all the range I can get. I didn’t care for the look of the Tesla bolt caps and center cover and I couldn’t be happier with this solution. They really unify the center of the rim. Make sure when you install them to hit them hard with the palm of your hand a couple of times to make sure they seat properly in the center rim hole.
That's great! Yeah I probably won't install the aero covers again unless I really need some extra range or the winter takes a big toll on my efficiency. It's summer so aesthetics are more important right now!
The grey looks nice, almost a perfect match to the MSM factory paint. There needs to be a better way to get those center caps off. 10 tries a side is a bit ridiculous lol. Bigger suction cup perhaps? I almost would've just taken the rims off and taken it off from the inside at that point :P.
Thanks! I was very close to doing that but I didn't want to buy a jack lol luckily now I don't have to worry about it, these are much easier to remove.
That Gray Cap doesn't match at all with the rim, black would look better, IMHO. With that said, I think it looked much better the way you had it before with the Lug Covers & Center Cap. Don't change what already works!
Hi Alex! There is a reason that Tesla's caps don't come off easily? It's because what you installed later is ugly! I'm just kidding, Alex! I'm glad that you and some of the commenters here like this new style, but I really like the way that my Tesla kit looks better. I took off my aero caps as soon as I got home with my model 3 last August 2018!
I like the Tesla ones okay, but I'm surprised that the plastic lug nut covers haven't flown away as loosely as they're attached. I like these because they're small and I can pull them off and put on the Aero covers for a road trip in less than a minute without futzing with a suction cup or duct tape.
They have held on just fine driving, however recently I had some of the adhesive holding them together break while removing them. Luckily I reached out and they are replacing them. Definitely much more convenient than the aero cap covers from Tesla!

I’m glad you like them. However, I actually prefer the ones from Tesla.
The cap kit from Tesla does have a shinier finish on the center cap, which I do like.

Hey, to each their own haha. These new covers do have more of a matte finish, which is definitely polarizing
