Julius Caesar has statues of him saluting.. is Ceasar a Nazi now? also the swastika is one of if not the most oldest symbols in history. Still a mystery how this symbol spread across earth over 10,000 years ago to all corners of the globe. Italians performing an ancient traditional salute is not because they’re nazis.

Such nonsense. They have no idea. This is not a Nazi salute but a fascist salute! The fools don't know the difference between Nazism and Fascism! Fascism arose parallel to Nazism but wasn't the same! Whereby both ideologies are similar in some points because both ideologies are ultra-nationalist, organized according to the leader principle, racist, anti-democratic and anti-communist. But the racist and anti-Semitic aspect of Nazism was much more extreme. There is a great difference between Fascism and Nazism that is not insignificant. There is a big difference between Nazism and European fascism. That was a German special way! With Nazism, they have developed an ideology that completely contradicts the Enlightenment and made it their state doctrine. A complete break of civilization! Such degree of barbarism has never happened in human history! That was unique in human history. The main difference between European fascism and German Nazism is that the Nazism had an unprecedented and unique drastic nature and ruthlessness. So in summary a far greater degree of radicalism. The circumstance can also be used to derive the far greater degree of brutality, to deduce the higher degree of barbarism, to deduce the higher degree of dehumanization of the victims, which resulted in industrial mass murder, the higher degree of penetration of society with ideology, deduce the higher degree of willingness to sacrifice of the population, the higher degree of readiness to touche force and violence. The consequences of fascism are also not comparable with the consequences of Nazism, which is known to include various genocides with millions of murdered children of various nationalities.
In any case, Nazism arose independently of Fascism. This thinking from which this Nazism ideology arose had already arisen in the 19th century in the Bismarck state. Actually, even the aggressive, very militarized Prussian state in the 19th century before the founding of the German unified state in 1871 was a forerunner of the Nazi state, because the beginning of Nazism was already in this state. The beginnings are already evident in the 19th century. The origin of the Nazi ideology was actually already Prussia which was continued in the German Kaiserreich! The term used by the Nazis for "living space in the east" ( "Lebensraum im Osten" ) which was an important aspect of Nazi ideology was also developed in the 19th century especially in Prussia. This idea was then spread from Prussia to all the German small states. With reference to the medieval conquest of German-speaking settlers in the Baltic States, the idea of German colonization of Eastern Europe became increasingly popular. The idea was widespread in German society from the German natural right to rule and colonize the Slavic and Baltic areas east of Germany. In this context, the Germanization of Poland was propagated as the highest goal of Prussian politics. The idea of solving the social problems and the supposed overpopulation of Germany by gaining new settlement areas in Eastern Europe was expressed with the catchphrase “nation without space”. The German war aims in World War I were also shaped by the idea of conquering large areas in the east. The Treaty of Brest-Litovsk clearly testifies to this urge to expand to the east, in which the Bolsheviks who ruled Russia were forced to cede vast territories to Germany.
The Alldeutsche Verband (Pan-German Association), which was founded in 1891, also aimed at a military expansion of the German "living space" and policy of subjugation. Its program was expansionist, pan-Germanic, militaristic, nationalistic and determined by racist and anti-Semitic ways of thinking. The Alldeutsche Verband was organized regionally in local groups that also existed abroad. The Alldeutsche Verband was permeated by the teachings of so-called social Darwinism and by the struggle for existence, by the law of the strongest and the conviction that the German people needed more living space in order to survive. Well, is that known? Yes, that sounds a lot like the NAZI party. By the way, the Nazi party also had foreign organizations! The Alldeutsche Verband and other organizations of this kind were in fact the forerunners of the Nazi Party NSDAP! There are other various examples of organizations, clubs and other organizations that prepared Nazism as well as ideological precursors of Nazism in this state as early as the 19th century, which I cannot list them all.
So in summary one can say that Nazism did not arise from fascism, but the forerunners in the German state of the 19th century were from which Nazism then emerged. Furthermore, there was a big difference between Nazism and Fascism.

Of course, there are some sentiments that acknowledge the human condition, its reason, and its variation, and then there are sentiments that reverberate a desire for power and oppression over others because of a distorted perception of self and their own vulnerability.

I mean the definition of what deserves to be banned and what isn't is ultimately up to whoever is in charge, which means that; there is no universal consensus on what should and should not be banned. That is why things like Fascism are not banned, because it opens up banning of opponents off of claims of them being Fascist or like them. When you can ban fascists, everyone is suddenly a fascist.

@@rokis23 Thank you for these elements on the historical and political context. As you understood, my point was (1) on the legal issue (2) in France. Let me add the following. As experts put it, contrary to wearing uniforms and displaying paraphernalia, the salute per se is not an offense in the French books, BUT the courts condemn it nevertheless as an incitement to racial hatred. (And it is forbidden as such in stadiums.) Thus, where the law actually forbids, say, the display of Nazi flags, the guilty may have to pay a 1,500€ fine, but where the law says nothing but courts nevertheless filled in the gap, then one may incur 1 year in prison and a 45,000€ fine. The legislator said nothing on the salute but the salute is punished as racial hatred, whose penalties are substantially heavier than for Nazi uniforms and objects that are statutorily punished by a much smaller fine, even though the obvious display of objects, if the salute is racial hatred, is racial hatred by the same token. So much so for the consistency of the legislation. Finally, neither the law nor the courts limit the scope of the law to the Nazi party; their phrasing targets organizations condemned by the Nuremberg and other trials in 1945 AND other organizations condemned for crimes against humanity. Which means displaying the Israeli flag should be punished by French courts if the ICJ rules that Israel has committed or is committing genocide.

This was not a nazi rally, let alone it is not the nazi salute but the fascist one, the fascist one is not as stiff and the palm is slightly out while the nazi one is at a straight, stiff angle.
This rally is a fascist tribute that has been held every anniversary of the Acca Larentia killings where two MSI youth activists where gunned down and another wounded in 1978 and later on another killed by a police officer who fired at a crowd. This is the 46th one since the killings happened.
Franco Biganzetti 20, and Francesco Ciavatta 19, where youth wing members of the MSI, they passed out pamphlets for the movement, and where murdered by communisti who fired a sub machine gun at them in front of the MSI headquarters while passing out pamphlets.
In response to the killings the MSI held many riots and protests, during one of the protests a Carabinieri officer fired into the crowed and wounded several protestors and fatally killing Stefano Reccioni 18.
they never found the killer and the officer who fired at the crowd was never tried and simply let go, so every year since it happened they hold a rally in there honor to pay tribute to there fallen comrades who died fighting for the revolution.
They say there names followed by a fascist salute and chanting Presente to mean they are still present and remembered for the sacrifice of there lives for the movement.
They do the same thing for memorials and reunions for fallen RSI soldiers.
This has nothing to do with the rise of more nationalistic movements in Europe of fascism in post war Italia, it is fascists paying tribute to fallen comrades as they always do, the opposition is just making up excuses and anybody who attacks them for this are saying they do not have a right to mourn there comrades who where murdered violently at a young age for there beliefs.
