Woah, the effect of the glass shattering and all the tiny reflections is like one of the things I love about VIVINOS. All the details that go into a video is amazing 💕
for those who dont understand korean, at 0:51, the banner says 예술학교 which indicates they're in an arts school. the book at 1:14 says 상장 which means prize or award. this makes me think that they had to submit a design for a competition or assessment but brown hair girl sabotaged the blue hair girl because she saw how good her dress was (0:54) and knew she wouldn't be able to compete. after she won, she was given opportunities (1:20) and she eventually made it into the fashion industry while the blue hair girl gave up fashion (metaphorically shown by her broken pencil at 1:18) and went on to work in a convenience store. however, after the blue hair girl realized that her design was stolen by the brown hair girl, it clicked that the brown hair girl was the one who destroyed it (it doesn't seem like she realized before, given the happy/proud expression she had at 1:13). thus, she imagines a world where her design was never ruined and she got the award instead of the other girl in 1:42, then she imagines that she lived the life that brown hair girl stole from her, just like how she stole the dress. then she dies, the last thing she sees being betrayal
Hmm it could be just me but i don't think the last part would be about Braid girl replacing her friend, but more of both of them succeeding together, Braid girl could have had the award and medals for fashion whlist her friend could be a model and both could be happy. But her friend took it all in a sense, hence the stare her friend gives at 2:03. Just my thoughts about it :0
You could also interpret her being hit by the bus as a metaphor. Her realization of the reality of what happened came crashing into her. Her finally coming to terms with the fact that her best friend wasn't her best friend at all and she was in fact used. Which is why instead of her own life flashing before her eyes it was the things her best friend did.
I think she might be in a coma considering her adult self being in a field confronting the child version of her ex friend and the title of the video “escape in a dream”. Just a thought though
Whats fucked up about this to me is, how the blue haired girl imagined how good her life would have been, the scene where she saw herself as pretty and successful and standing across from her brown haired friend who also seemed pretty and successful still, it gives me the idea that Blue envisioned that she would have brought the brown haired girl up with her and helped her succeed as well. Its so fucked that even after having this realization that she still wanted the best for her.
Ah…the story was more sad than scary this time. From what I can tell, the two girls were friends in school, but short haired one was more popular and outgoing while braids was withdrawn and shy. Braids was into designing clothes, but once she showed her work to her friend, she got bullied and mocked by the class. It’s heavily implied the friend is responsible for the bullying. And years later, after being overshadowed and having her limelight stolen by this friend, she sees her latest work- and it’s the dress she had made all the way back in school. It’s the last thing she sees before she’s run over by a bus. That scene is the best scene in all of vivinos’ videos so far for me….the sheer pain and heartbreak in the music and visuals is just amazing. Vivinos’ best work yet simply because it’s excellently executed and unfortunately relatable for many of us. Betrayal can never come from a stranger, and that’s exactly why it’s so painful.
@@gh02tdu2t it could be both really, at the end when it re-pans to the advertisements people are looking shocked, even one is on their phone making a call
@@gh02tdu2t hmm I think it could be both! Definitely the way it’s portrayed emphasises the betrayal, but the camera pan after suggests she did get run over.
I think they were both in art school and short hair stole the braided hair's design and got famous. Braided girl only realizes her betrayal after years. She wasn't mocked for her design.
this one's just absolutely heartbreaking (and beautiful!!) the poor girl was used by her friend for her talent, and seeing that dress she made for her back in school really would have just been the icing on the cake another wonderful video vivinos!! thank you so much!! (edit) after watching it again, I can tell that the brown-haired girl deliberately let the blue haired girl be bullied so as to prevent her from becoming more successful than her. you can see her watching the girl break down at 1:11
@Hu Tao I've heard bullying is very common in South Korean schools, but how it works over there is that instead of one person/a few people bullying someone, a whole year group can do it, explaining why the blue haired girl was so isolated.
Holy. Shit. As an artist myself, plagiarism is one of the most fucking annoying and frustrating shit ever. I feel for the main character.. The amount of shock and disbelief and anger and betrayal I felt when the dress she put all her hard work and talent and effort and time and hopes on, got sabotaged and then later on copied it and it is now famous as the fraud's work rather than hers, the original designer... That moment of realization that her precious work got plagiarized... The way she's so focused on that huge-ass billboard with her work on it labelled as someone else's, as her used-to-be-friend's rather than her own, so focused on it that she didn't even flinch when she literally was about to be hit by a bus and it completely and loudly shatters behind her.. That was done SO WELL. SO GOOD. The poster of the dress being worn by the fraud on the bus was such a nice touch. It's like the realization is literally hitting her so hard, like a speeding bus. And it hit her from behind too, she didn't see it coming. She didn't expect that the person she used to think is her friend would go that low and stab her in the back. After all these years, she finally realized it was her who sabotaged her work years ago, and is now gaining popularity off her work... The sequence of what she imagined her future would be knowing that it didn't happen and now the person who stole her work is living the life she dreamed about... It's so unfair!! And the fact that she had to sell a magazine advertising that fraud, somehow unintentionally and unknowingly giving that fraud who sabotaged and stole her work more popularity.... It's just so sad. Like damn. Vivinos and the team has done such a great job yet again. THIS IS SO GOOD. SO GREAT. The animation is beautiful, the story is amazing. And I am now greatly interested and indulged in this story. This might become my favorite out of all the Vivinos videos.
Absolutely stunning, the plot is beautifully written and portrayed and all the intricate little details tie in so perfectly. This is an amazing animation!
the visuals, the music, the storytelling in this, i could just feel the pain from the other girl once she realised her former friend stole her work... this is so gorgeous!!!
Although all of it is beautiful I think the scene at 1:37 is excellent. Not only the animation is beautiful but you can see the realization hits her (like a bus) as she knows that this dress is HER work, that those could’ve been HER achievements, and that SHE should be/could’ve been up there. However, she dies seeing her “friend” on billboards, magazines, everywhere, with all the credit for her design. Betrayal at it’s finest.
The video implies that the best friend character had talent of her own, as shown by her winning an award for a design she created at 1:14 while the main character cheers her own. Right after that, it's shown that the main character lost her inspiration to continue creating, while the best friend character continued on releasing designs and winning awards for them. The best friend character DID steal her design in the end, but apparently only after she had achieved enough success to pass it off as her own (or at least that was the implication because otherwise I think it would have shown the dress being stolen when they were much younger). The scenario the main character sees is an alternate scenario of her achieving the same success IF she didn't give up after her friend turned on her and keeping their friendship in the end. Though I think she realizes her friend was a snake who never cared about her anyway in the end.
@@will0183e1) the bus hit her, the glass shattered and the bus is all destroyed like it had gotten in an accident. 2) at 2:11 you can kinda see the people looking at her in shock and one person even on her phone, most likely calling the ambulance. 3) The camera is slowly panning upwards, kinda like how you’re on the ground looking up at something, so it’s safe to say that she’s lying on the road looking at her “friend” one last time before slowly fading to black, dying. (This is all my interpretation of it, she could actually be alive but I believe she’s dead)
I like how everyone is explaining the lore and their theories cuz I really like to read them but, can we just talk about the bus sense for a minute? It was literally GORGEOUS. It actually shows how Betrayed the blue haired girl felt as the bus just crashed into her representing if her heart shattered into pieces from looking at her stolen design. It’s truly beautiful as well as the art. I love this!
@@hyun121216 Can you comment the link please? I am from the Spanish-speaking community and, obviously, it is more difficult to find the webtoon, I hope if you can upload the link 🙏🥺
OK so heres whats happening: both girls attend an arts school and both are im the fashion department. They are childhoood friends the brown haired girl is more extroverted and popular while the braided girl is more withdrawn and shy. There is a fashion design competition and the braided girl shows the brown haired girl her work. The brown haired girl realizes that her friends work is much better than hers and that she will lose if the braided girl participates. She destroys the braided girls work as well as incites bullying against her. You feel bad for the braided girl, it hurts to be betrayed by someone you thought to be a friend, but rhe things is she HAS NO IDEA HER FRIEND BETRAYED HER. She still celebrates when her friend won the competition that she couldnt enter, shes still happy for her. Due to the trauma of the bullying, she loses the will to continue designing dresses and goes on to live a mediocre life, never pursuing her passions. Her friend however becomes a wildly successful designer, her face plastered everywhere. We can see that although braids seems sad and disappointed looking at her friends success (probably due to her lack of own success and the pain that comes with giving up on your dream) she still does not look on the brown haired girl with malice. It's safe to assume that at this point brownie has either cut off braids completely or just uses her talents for her own benefit. That is until she sees the design of the dress she made in highschool being passed of by brownie as her own. The realization hits her like a truck (as she also literally gets hit by a truck) that her friend had betrayed her this whole time. Or at the very least plagarized something of hers (and im willing to bet that at the time brownie told braids it wasnt very good). Braids sees everything that could have been hers, all the success that brownie stole. Heartbreakingly she also imagines herself and brownie side by side, both successful and still friends. She dies looking at the face of the friend who betrayed her SYMBOLS: The red string can either represent braid's trust in brownie (fully intact at the beginning but beeaking at the climax) or the notion of their friendship. THE FIELD:
Blue haired girl was used by her “friend”. Her friend used her talents until she didn’t need them anymore, and got people to bully her. Blue hair girl has a break down and also pretends to be happy for her friend even tho she’s hurting. Fast forward to the future where blue haired girl works at a store and friend is a famous fashion designer. Blue haired girl looks at the billboard with her friend on it and sees that friend stole the design of the dress she made back when they were school friends. Realizing that all this time, she was being used and abused by someone she thought was her friend. Her friend was quite literally someone who ruined her life.
@@patheticghost7853 yeah, i get to read the comic in bahasa indo - but the title of the comic is just „Tell Me A Creepy Story!“. This vivinos video is pretty much based on some girl who kept having dreams ( the girl you saw at the beggining with yellow cardigan or whatever you call it) of the blue haired girl chasing her everywhere. Vivinos' video here mostly explains about the blue hair girls backstory. The backstory might be made up but since i haven't read the full comic, i just gotta check it out.
So apparently "Escape in the Dream" was referenced from the webtoon "무서운게 딱좋아!" which I personally think it is indeed largely related anyway the story follows a girl trapped in a field covered in fog/she has no memory of how she got there and wants to go back home, she hears a sound of a woman singing, she follows the sound thinking she could ask for help. But she notice that the lyrics are very unsettling(we actually had it in the teaser about making pure white dresses and then dying them in red with rose colored blood). Anyway she reaches to her destination, she sees a woman making a white dress and she tries to talk to that woman, but she gets ignored but suddenly the woman turns back and says that she was waiting for her she was waiting to find something red to dye that white dress the woman chases after her and the girl runs and tries not to get caught. However, she has no idea where to go since she can't see a thing in the mist, until she is faced with a literal brick wall. Thankfully, there was a white ladder hanging to it so she climbs it before the woman could catch her tho strangely, the woman can't seem to climb the ladder. The girl believes she is safe, only to discover on the other side it's just a cliff. She slips from the wall and falls...Only to wake up. She's horrified, because it's been a week she had this dream of a ghost chasing after her blood over and over again. The girl goes to school and talks about it to her friend and her friend suggests her getting caught by the ghost. She theorizes that the dream keeps repeating because the ghost never caught her, so it will end once the chasing stops. The next time the girl sleeps, she dreams the same nightmare again, but she realizes it's a dream once she reaches the ladder. For once, she decides to let herself get caught. However, she starts panicking because the dream doesn't end. The ghost reaches out for her, saying she wouldn't have to dream of her chasing her down again... The next day, the girl's friend calls her because she hasn't come to school. The person who receives the call is the girl's mother, who explains her daughter is in the emergency room. When she tried her wake her up in the morning, her daughter wouldn't budge no matter what. Hearing this, her friend is horrified, her advice had lead to her never waking up. I put the story here incase you haven't read from other comments or theories yet, so anyway I think the protagonist is the brown hair girl, she got so famous to the point that forgot what she really wanted in her life she doesn't "remember" how she got there. I think she was trying to escape from the past memories¿ like she tried to think of it as if its unimportant¿ like how she slowly got to think of her friend (blue hair girl) at school(getting affected by how other kids treated her)that caused the start of them distancing from each other BUT there "she hears a sound of a woman singing" This is the idea of sharing the blue haired girl's design but perhaps here she just remembered that design somehow from her faded memory not remembering it was from her friend in the past maybe finding "this sound" could get her out of this "field covered in fog" confusion and emptiness she is feeling trying to find "home" happiness or the truth ¿ tho she felt something is wrong and didn't used that design many times but someone like that friend in the story recommended her to just use it so then after all her mind battles she uses that design "let that woman catch her" and thennnn here we go were the poor blue hair girl who abounded her dreams and talent sees it and get to that accident both her mind¿(emotions)and body dies...The brown hair girl get into this nightmare of regrets forever "and never wakes up" This is just my opinion tho my English is not good enough to Translate my thoughts 100% right and on point T T hope I made sence anyway truly love vivinos works and the details Thank you for sharing it
So eh in the end I don't think the blue hair girl is actually the ghost hunting down for victims or like literally wanting to get revenge or anything but its just the brown hair girls nightmare and way of picturing the situation cuz she has done things the wrong way and regrets things
@@harukazehirota4209 yes! i did think of something like that! maybe what we see here is the memories of the blue hair girl being shared to the protagonist in the last moment of her dream, she gets caught by the woman singing, sees all of her memories and feelings in her last moments and gets "caught in the nightmare" where she can't get rid of the blame
Oh no you are 100% right. VIVINOS blue haired girl is the EXACT same design as that ghost in the webtoon, especially in between flashbacks. Same dress and hair color with her hair tucked behind her ears. I think VIVINOS was inspired and wanted to give the ghost a back story. It's left up to interpretation if the fashion designer is the school girl or not.
Based on the flashes back to the foggy dream sequence at 1:48 and 2:04, I believe that after discovering her former friend’s betrayal and dying via getting run over by a bus, the blue haired girl literally haunts the black haired girl’s dreams in a similar manner to the ghost in the webtoon.
This is the type of animation I truly aspire to make, everything is fluid, the emotions are on perfect, the music is gorgeous, VIVINOS you are an absolute ICON

holy shit the animation in this video is definitely improved compared to previous videos! i do remember seeing that the teaser said this was a ‘prequel’ of sorts, and the girl in the grass field (the one w/o glasses) only shows up at the beginning and end of the video, which makes me believe we’ll see another video about that girl. honestly cant wait, just from this video alone im hooked! keep up the good work!
@@brichu4581 i was talking about the short-haired girl without glasses, from what ive seen the short-haired girl only appeared in the grass field and didnt seem to have a connection with the other two main girls seen in the video
@@shushartist ohhhh for real? i just skimmed the webtoon and i definitely see connections with the designer girl with glasses in the video and the lady in the grass field (cant read any korean so i dont know the whole story) tho it raises more questions on what the grass field has to do with anything. hoping we might see a follow up video elaborating more on this story
@@yeehaw9315 maybe the field is a metaphor for something (like jordan river was), maybe there is korean cultural context. I would like to read the webtoon.
I like how this video has put more emphasis on sadness rather than scariness. Even though I absolutely adored the PBC series, I never felt the same sense of sadness about their stories than in this one. I think it may be because this story felt far more realistic, it's haunting because I can distinctly imagine it happening in real life.
I’d say that this video had invoked a sense of fury in me rather than sadness. While yes, it’s a very gut wrenching story, I personally found that the injustice portrayed in the video actually made me feel anger towards the bitch who plagiarized her friend’s work, instead of sympathy. I found myself physically clenching my fist after I finished watching, and I must say, I really had the urge to punch something in that moment, preferably a certain fucking thief. Perhaps I just took it personally, being an artist myself. After all, this is one of my worst nightmares- having someone steal my work and be given such a huge award for it, what a disgusting thought.
As an artist myself, seeing a person's work get stolen made me so so infuriated. i was so so mad when the jacket stole her design and used her, whilst glasses just gets bullied and all her hard work has been wasted. i feel her and i really hope that glasses gets the revenge she wants. she didn't deserve any of this, anyways the visuals and animation that vivinos and her team did is absolutely mindblowing. the attention to detail on the glass and animation is incredible, great job vivinos.
only now after my 45th rewatch of this do i hear the ticking that begins at 1:41 and ends at 2:03 , signifying that the girl is running out of time and adding to the effect of “life flashing before her eyes” . wow. incredible work vivinos.
Every single one of your animations is so detailed and well-done that by the time I've finish watching them, it feels like I've watched an entire 5-star rated film. I'm absolutely blown away by the incredible art and animation style, as well as the general attention to detail and quality storytelling in the little time given. All the "⚠" animations are wonderfully tragic, thank you for blessing the world yet again :D

1:52 it's interesting here how glasses girl's expression and whole face changes in the future, while short-haired girl stays the same as she grows up. it shows that even in this alternate universe, where braids girl keeps her authorship and becomes successful, short-haired girl would've still been happy and famous. it becomes even more tragic that way, when you know both of them could've had great careers and stayed on good terms with each other

The thing that shatters me the most, along with the fact that the brown-haired girl plagiarized her and became famous instead of her, and even in that realization when she saw the life she would've had, she saw them both together being successful, is the fact that the blue-haired girl got bullied, and, if I'm not mistaken, the brown-haired girl either didn't care or, even more frustrating, condoned it, allowed it, and propitiated it.
the leading theory is the brown hair allowed it because their friendship was already kind of in a vulnerable position so she (clouded by her own selfish judgments) instigated the rumor spreading and bullying to drive her "friend" out of her art :)
THIS, THIS HAS TO BE ONE OF MY FAVOURITES NOW. the intensity in here is amazing, and not to mention the feels in the story, i can only imagine how betrayed the braided hair felt. BUT SERIOUSLY, LOOK AT THIS?!? THE DETAILS, AND THE ANIMATION IN THIS IS AMAZING!! you and your team did a great job on this, i have no words. this was awesome! /pos
OH MY GOD this animation is amazing like when the bus smashes into her it doesn't break it SHATTERS . This is amazing the way that you can literally FEEL the characters emotions in that moment is just astounding. I don't usually rant over stuff like animation and stuff but you animations and way of story telling is next LEVEL. Like they way it cuts to all the moments that girl who was supporting her friend just to see it all go down to pieces is amazing , you could feel the breaking point of the character. I would love to see your animation style in an anime because of how professional and clean the animation is . The way that you animate gives the art a cute yet creepy vibe and its amazing . I have watched all your videos and they are always so impressive and just a fantastic works of art. Honestly this video in my opinion is your best by far , especially when you incorporate different angles and view points to your animation making the audience immerse themselves into the story/animation. I'm not a professional on this at all but this really inspires me to take on animation one day.
I always expect something gory or visually terrifying but this one is just gorgeous and yet it hits harder. The absolute ruthless betrayal done to the poor girl is just too much. It actually made my blood boil knowing how successful they got using the other girl. Hurts!
As someone who studies animation, This is absolutely Stunning! From the single strands of hair to the shattering glass, the lightings and color palettes, this is just gorgeous!
To be honest the story confused me, I think it was just about urban legends and VIVINOS made a new plot about it but the girl at the beginning and the friend of the blue hair girl are different
@@シロモ-l2w it’s not my idea, they look different unless it’s her reincarnation otherwise I don't see how it could be the same person because the girl at the beginning experience paranormal in the original story
The braided hair girl and the brown-haired one were certainly close friends at some early point in their lives (the flashbacks from 0:49 to 0:53) and possibly something more, evident by the red knot in 0:46 (or love knot as some might call it) represents an unbreakable bond and eternal connection between *lovers*. However, their relationship started to fall apart once they both got into highschool as the brown-haired girl quickly gained more friends, leaving the quiet braided hair girl behind. Notice how the said girl seemed to have a passion for sewing and fashion design, and have in fact, successfully designed a dress herself and proudly showcased to her the brown-haired girl (at 0:57) . Unfortunately, the dress got ruined the next day, and somehow, so did her reputation. The braided hair girl got bullied while her friend stood at the sideline, simply being a watcher. Years passed by, both girls now have very different lives. The brown-haired (with her more noticeably attractive look and outgoing personality) achieved success and even became a worldwide super model (her face plastered on magazines and billboards throughout the city in 1:25 and 1:36), meanwhile, the other girl, seemingly unable to get over her friend's betrayal, lost motivation and gave up on her dream to become a fashion designer, instead choosing to settle down for a job at a convinience store. On her way back home, she got distracted looking at the poster of her old friend, resulted in her being hit by a bus and tragically died before the eyes of a few bystanders. It's kind of sad if you think about it. They basically grew up together and everything just... fell apart. When I first watched the part at 0:54, I thought the dress was destroyed because the brown-haired girl was jealous of her friend's talent, but maybe it wasn't? She didn't look sad, she didn't look happy, just...midly surprised. Judging how the brown-haired girl also seemed to be into fashion as well, the possibility that she didn't know such a thing could be fairly thin. My theory is that, the dress might be followed by a confession. And if you watched closely, there's a shot between 0:59 and 1:00 that briefly showed the brown-haired girl grimacing (possibly disgusted by the other girl's feelings), thus explaining why she distanced herself away from the braided hair girl. She stayed silent when her friend was bullied, because it was *her* doings all along. The classroom scene at the beginning likely took place after she had cut all tides with her friend, simply viewing her as non-exsisted. The braided girl, however, was devasted and desperately holding onto the delusion that the bond between them both was still unseperated (while in reality, she was nothing to her crush now). Still, it was highkey heartbreaking to see that despite everything, she still silently supported the girl of her dream from afar, much like how she always did when they were still friends (1:15) .The visions she got at 1:54 just proved that if the brown haired girl had A. accepted her confession or B. refused it but still agree to stay friends, she could have achived the same level of success and they would have reached the top together. But as the reality of the situation drawn in, the girl had finally came to accept the fact that she's just a nobody to her now, hence why the red knot slowly tearing away. How ironic, because if you had already watched Kimi no Nawa, you would notice that the knot between the two main characters only loosened and never torn apart no matter how far their physical distances are. But anyways, I guess the brown haired had also died somehow, as at the ending scene, we could see that they both meet on the field of barley(?). This could symbolize the afterlife, but color me confused lol.
I don't think they're be lovers. I think there are friend and in a another comment, it says the 2 girls are in a art college and the image where the brown haired girl wince, I think is show she regret a little to making this but she ends up forgetting and became famous.
red string dont necesseraly means love but means "meant to be" as in "destinied" to be in each other's lives! Its the destiny that brought them together. So as the one is amous and the other becomes the cashier we see that red string of fate unraveling and shows that they have gone far too different ways that they arent in one's life anymore (not death but bond of destiny)! did red string research for my thesis hahaha
@@Dafniforfree Yeah something along the line of it. But since the red string is more commonly used in romantic context, I just decided to go with the thought lol
I feel like the braid girl didn’t know or noticed the betrayal until 1:50 (that is why the red thing got destroyed because she realized that the bullying and all the accidents were her fault)
I am absolutely in love with this video. My favorite scene being the part where the blue haired girl gets "hit" by a bus. I put quotation marks on hit because I believe it is not meant to be taken literally, and instead is very important symbolism for the events that lead her to this. Throughout her life, she thought that the events that lead to her downfall was all just misfortune. Her dress being sabotaged, her friend cutting ties with her, the eventual bullying she received, her giving up fashion as a whole- She thought she was just unlucky. When she gets metaphorically hit by a bus, it all makes sense to her. It is an unfortunate series of events. She confides and showcases her dress to her childhood friend, because who wouldn't? Her friend stands there horrified and scared, she realizes that she will not win against her. So what does she do? She sabotages it, making her ineligible to join the contest. Afterwards, in 1:02, her friend cuts ties with her, and this eventually leads to her bullying. It is started by her childhood friend as well in an attempt to demotivate her from designing clothes as shown in 1:06 and 1:11 where her friend stands there and watches her break down. The events that unfolds afterwards is straightforward, keep in mind that throughout all this, she has *never* suspected her friend for any of this. She thought that it was all bad luck. That's where the symbolism comes in, when she sees her dress on the big screen, she gets "hit" by a bus. The realization comes so fast and hits her hard. She never thought that her childhood friend would betray her, it is horribly painful and she realizes how everything her friend has now would have been hers. She could have won the contest, giving opportunities for her designs to be used on runaways. She could have been living the life her friend is living now. She could have been a famous fashion designer, like her friend is now. Instead, she is a convenience store clerk who is constantly haunted by distant memories and sorrowful regrets. As for the brief prologue and epilogue, I read that this is actually a prequel inspired by a webcomic. However, I'm not Korean and I can't find an English translation. So everything speculated in my comment is based on the video and video alone. :) Fantastic animation and storytelling Vivinos! 💕💘
From what I can tell, this video seems to be inspired by a comic called Museounge Ttagjoha, a webtoon about horror comics !! It's in the description. A rough summary of what happens there is a girl trying to ask for directions from a seamstress only for the seamstress to be revealed as a ghost trying to take the girl's blood for the dress's design. The video shows the brown-haired girl stealing the other mc's design, so i think that's pretty neat. (As for theories, i think it may be related to the videos story. Blue haired girl dies in this video and the ghost in the comic also has blue hair and this is a prequel to a upcoming vivinos video. But who knows?) Edit: I'm pretty sure the comic has relevance to the story! At the 2:03 mark, the blue-haired ghost shows up in the video for a single frame.

I just finish watching it and wow it was absolutely amazing. Also I feel like the they’re usual animation looks different in some way,I feel this sort of animation really capture the characters and feeling more for this one. Idk tbh 😅
The animation style is really smooth 🥰 I love it alot. I'm glad to see another ⚠️ from Vivinos! As always I wanna give my theory too, it just a simple and direct one, but anyways here is my take: We can already see here that these 2 girls were both childhood friend and have passion in fashion designing, both wanna pursuing in fashion design career. So they both learned together and study together in a fashion school. But then, one day, someone destroyed the glasses girl's design, and she got bullied due to some rumour on her stealing a design. She doesn't know who made the rumour and why someone would do that. This bullying and rumour spreading situation have destroyed her spirit on ever wanting to design again (We can see her breaking her pencil as she tried to sketch her design). Slowly she formed a codependency relationship with her childhood friend, the short hair girl, to get through her school days, since her childhood friend is the only person whom she can trust, and she followed her everywhere to avoid bullying. Opposite to glasses girl, even the short hair girl is still friend with her, she is still able to become a popular girl at school, and she is still has her love for designing. The glasses girl didn't want to bother her as she saw her friend getting more recognition over her talent, so she quit school and took part time jobs. She supported her career from a far, and met her once a while. The short hair girl became famous later on, has won of a lot awards for joining competition and also for her skills in fashion design industry, and she becomes a model of her own brand too. And as always, the glasses girl just supported her from afar. The realization of betrayal started to kick in when the glasses girl was on her way home after working at the groceries store, she saw all billboards and signs everywhere around the city of her friend and her "hot new design" advertisements. And the new design that got released is... her old design that got destroyed during her school day, the sole reason why she got bullied from, and the reason what made her spirit broken to point on no longer want to follow her dream anymore. She realized that all this time, it is all of the short hair girl's doing: the bullying, and the rumour. She began to imagine her snickering maliciously as she supported her all these years, unknowingly has been back stabbing from behind. Her very own childhood dear friend has snatched her dream away from her life. She realized that all those achievements could've been her, not the short hair girl. Due to shock and realization, she stunned in the middle of a busy road, her focus lost on her surrounding, as her eyes stucked on seeing all of these boards, and then she ended up getting hitted by a bus. She died, and the last moment she remembered before she died is her soul broke again by her childhood friend's betrayal. Symbolism (My interpretation): -The thick red string scene: symbol of their strong relationship. Their relationship is the only thing that keeps the glasses girl able to get through of her life, even though she lost her passion. She supported her until her friend becomes famous, and still supported her even then despite no longer in the same road on pursuing their childhood dream But when she learned her betrayal, she flashback all those moments with her and tried to connect dots of her past, but the more she imagine, the thinner the tie is, until one small string left to connect the tie, but it also snapped, meaning the trust has been destroyed along with her already broken soul. -The bus "crashed" instead of her at the end: The pain of betrayal is more painful than the crash she feels. Those broken glasses is also another symbol of her broken soul upon realization of the betrayal. -The glasses girl at the meadow, with her old design at the back (Quick 1sec scene): probably symbol of her being forever stuck in her past trauma, due to that one design she made, she has hidden anger, regret, and depression. Her dream got destroyed due to this trauma of her past.

Alright, time to give my thoughts on this. The blue-haired girl and the brunette were childhood friends who had a strong bond together (signified by the tightened red rope). They both loved fashion so much that they got accepted into same art school. From the beginning, it’s very clear that the two’s personalities contrast greatly. The brunette was very outgoing and popular while the blue-haired girl was more quiet and reserved. With this in mind, the brunette made new friends with other students enrolled at the school while Blue was alone a lot. Of course, in a realistic sense, this caused Brunette to drift away from Blue while Blue was only left living in the shell of what their friendship used to be. Sometime later, there was either a project or competition at the school, in which Blue creates a beautiful dress and shows Brunette. It’s assumed that Brunette is also in the same competition/project, so she was stunned and maybe even envious of what Blue could create. Under “unknown circumstances,” the dress is destroyed and Blue starts getting bullied by her classmates while Brunette “ignored it.” Without Blue’s dress, Brunette was given an award or prize for her accomplishment, to which Blue was happy for her. This led to Brunette receiving more and more awards until she later began receiving contracts in the fashion industry, while Blue eventually gave up fashion and became a clerk in a grocery store. As Blue scans a fashion magazine for a customer, she stares at her “friend” with a somewhat remorseful look. It’s hinted here that Blue still feels something for Brunette, even though it’s been a long time since they had last been together. After a shift, Blue walks home but as she’s crossing the street, she sees an advertisement of her dear childhood friend on a large billboard, with her dress she had made in school that was destroyed so long ago. The realization hits Blue like a bus as she realizes that Brunette ruined everything for her. She was the one behind the bullying. She was the one behind the dress being destroyed. She was the one who stole Blue’s rightful award and even plagiarized her work with no one the wiser. While reminiscing on what could have been, ironically, a bus with advertisements of her friend’s betrayal plastered onto it kills her, possibly symbolizing that the realization of betrayal was the thing that killed her and not necessarily the bus itself (though a bus literally killing her could make sense). Blue lived her life as someone who could’ve done great things, but died a nobody in the end. With the first and last scene of the girl in the field, that girl wasn’t Brunette, but a different girl that could possibly be related to Brunette in some way or just bears some resemblance to her (this girl shows up in the webcomic in the description). Either way, Blue’s vengeful spirit now haunts this new girl’s dreams as she yearns to continue her dress-making, dyeing her dresses with the blood of her greatest enemy.
Woah, the effect of the glass shattering and all the tiny reflections is like one of the things I love about VIVINOS. All the details that go into a video is amazing 💕
ikrr i loved itt
VIVINOS do the animation with someone else
Nvm there are others peoples too
@you know ok you just gotta stop pls 😭
for those who dont understand korean, at 0:51, the banner says 예술학교 which indicates they're in an arts school. the book at 1:14 says 상장 which means prize or award. this makes me think that they had to submit a design for a competition or assessment but brown hair girl sabotaged the blue hair girl because she saw how good her dress was (0:54) and knew she wouldn't be able to compete. after she won, she was given opportunities (1:20) and she eventually made it into the fashion industry while the blue hair girl gave up fashion (metaphorically shown by her broken pencil at 1:18) and went on to work in a convenience store. however, after the blue hair girl realized that her design was stolen by the brown hair girl, it clicked that the brown hair girl was the one who destroyed it (it doesn't seem like she realized before, given the happy/proud expression she had at 1:13). thus, she imagines a world where her design was never ruined and she got the award instead of the other girl in 1:42, then she imagines that she lived the life that brown hair girl stole from her, just like how she stole the dress. then she dies, the last thing she sees being betrayal
Just my thoughts about it :0
I actually think that makes so much sense. Like, your explanation really clarifies things for me. Makes that bus scene so much more impactful :’(
You could also interpret her being hit by the bus as a metaphor. Her realization of the reality of what happened came crashing into her. Her finally coming to terms with the fact that her best friend wasn't her best friend at all and she was in fact used. Which is why instead of her own life flashing before her eyes it was the things her best friend did.
@@wingedwitch191 yeah, the model at 1:44 has similar hair to the friend girl as well
I think she might be in a coma considering her adult self being in a field confronting the child version of her ex friend and the title of the video “escape in a dream”. Just a thought though
Absolutely stunning to see the quality improving every video. The bus scene was so damn beautiful and cruelly animated.
Yeah! And that red rope part
cruelly calm and heart breaking
Whats fucked up about this to me is, how the blue haired girl imagined how good her life would have been, the scene where she saw herself as pretty and successful and standing across from her brown haired friend who also seemed pretty and successful still, it gives me the idea that Blue envisioned that she would have brought the brown haired girl up with her and helped her succeed as well. Its so fucked that even after having this realization that she still wanted the best for her.
Right my god i feel so bad for blue hair and i hope brown hair finds out what happened and gets wreckdd. Or some other bullshit happens to her. =.=
That's how good some people are 😔🙌

That’s fucked up 🥵🥵
imo, i think the bus is supposed to represent the shockwave of pain and utter betrayal she felt the moment she saw her friend stole her work
@@gh02tdu2t it could be both really, at the end when it re-pans to the advertisements people are looking shocked, even one is on their phone making a call
She wasn't mocked for her design.
this one's just absolutely heartbreaking (and beautiful!!)
the poor girl was used by her friend for her talent, and seeing that dress she made for her back in school really would have just been the icing on the cake
another wonderful video vivinos!! thank you so much!!
(edit) after watching it again, I can tell that the brown-haired girl deliberately let the blue haired girl be bullied so as to prevent her from becoming more successful than her. you can see her watching the girl break down at 1:11
@smugmuffin absolutely not :(
now we have to hope for a part 2 with some revenge (but by the looks of things... from beyond the grave, probably LMAO)
@Hu Tao I've heard bullying is very common in South Korean schools, but how it works over there is that instead of one person/a few people bullying someone, a whole year group can do it, explaining why the blue haired girl was so isolated.

@Hu Tao true, I couldn’t forgive the brown girl to bully someone which is helping her so much.
Holy.
This might become my favorite out of all the Vivinos videos.
yes exactly!! I love the bus scene and couldn't put into words why I found it so impactful

You KNOW an animation is good when you can _feel_ the character's emotions through the screen- 😭
Do you know the name of the song?
@@Roryberry4 also im pretty sure she just took a blind eye to the bullies
@@pathetic2399 i think she's the one who intentionally sabotaged the dress (that could have made the main charac. Win)

It actually shows how Betrayed the blue haired girl felt as the bus just crashed into her representing if her heart shattered into pieces from looking at her stolen design.
She dies looking at the face of the friend who betrayed her
SYMBOLS:
The red string can either represent braid's trust in brownie (fully intact at the beginning but beeaking at the climax) or the notion of their friendship.
THE FIELD:
Oh shit. I'm so confused but I'm still blown away. Can't wait for the subtitles and the theories! Also happy birthday, Vivinos! Love your work!
I think this was based from the comic in the description! It is in Korean, not really sure if there’s English version of this comic
@@lulu_achoo Ah yeah I got a bit of that, but now I understood it fully! Thanks!💖
@you know Bot.
I think she was trying to escape from the past memories¿ like she tried to think of it as if its unimportant¿ like how she slowly got to think of her friend (blue hair girl) at school(getting affected by how other kids treated her)that caused the start of them distancing from each other BUT there "she hears a sound of a woman singing"
This is the idea of sharing the blue haired girl's design but perhaps here she just remembered that design somehow from her faded memory not remembering it was from her friend in the past maybe finding "this sound" could get her out of this "field covered in fog" confusion and emptiness she is feeling trying to find "home" happiness or the truth ¿ tho she felt something is wrong and didn't used that design many times but someone like that friend in the story recommended her to just use it so then after all her mind battles she uses that design "let that woman catch her" and thennnn here we go were the poor blue hair girl who abounded her dreams and talent sees it and get to that accident both her mind¿(emotions)and body dies...The brown hair girl get into this nightmare of regrets forever "and never wakes up"
This is just my opinion tho my English is not good enough to Translate my thoughts 100% right and on point T T hope I made sence
anyway truly love vivinos works and the details
Thank you for sharing it
So eh in the end I don't think the blue hair girl is actually the ghost hunting down for victims or like literally wanting to get revenge or anything but its just the brown hair girls nightmare and way of picturing the situation cuz she has done things the wrong way and regrets things
@you know Bot.

holy shit the animation in this video is definitely improved compared to previous videos!
i do remember seeing that the teaser said this was a ‘prequel’ of sorts, and the girl in the grass field (the one w/o glasses) only shows up at the beginning and end of the video, which makes me believe we’ll see another video about that girl. honestly cant wait, just from this video alone im hooked! keep up the good work!

I like how this video has put more emphasis on sadness rather than scariness. Even though I absolutely adored the PBC series, I never felt the same sense of sadness about their stories than in this one. I think it may be because this story felt far more realistic, it's haunting because I can distinctly imagine it happening in real life.

@@coffee-ouji I WAS ABOUT TO SAY “beloved flashbacks” 😭

@@yunaaa504 might be, vivinos usually does lesbian relationships in their vids
I feel like the braid girl didn’t know or noticed the betrayal until 1:50 (that is why the red thing got destroyed because she realized that the bullying and all the accidents were her fault)
1:39 hits diff fr, but omg all of this was so amazing as usual !! Amazing job Vivinos and crew :)
That part was so smooth, it was sad but beautiful at the same time
it makes me feel something i can't explain with words.
was that a pun
Ikr 😭
lmao pun intended?
But who knows?)
Edit: I'm pretty sure the comic has relevance to the story! At the 2:03 mark, the blue-haired ghost shows up in the video for a single frame.
Hello Phoenix Wright pfp
Is there any way to read it in English?
@@poopiheadinc.3851 sadly i dont think theres any eng versions of the comic, its all exclusively in korean,,

The unfairness is heartbreaking. The blue-haired girl should've gotten everything good she ever dreamed about.

I feel bad for the blue-haired girl, she doesn't deserve that much hate and disasters that happened because of her relationship with her "friend"
i think its really cool how in all of vivnos's stories, the teasers and finished videos always have thumbnails that contrast each other

The animation style is really smooth 🥰 I love it alot. I'm glad to see another ⚠️ from Vivinos!
As always I wanna give my theory too, it just a simple and direct one, but anyways here is my take:
We can already see here that these 2 girls were both childhood friend and have passion in fashion designing, both wanna pursuing in fashion design career.
Symbolism (My interpretation):
-The thick red string scene: symbol of their strong relationship.

옷은 본인의 인생이며 붉은, 장미등의 빨강과 관련있는 키워드는 본인의 바람이나 꿈에 비유한게 아닐까싶습니다. 노래를 간단히 해석하자면 꿈속에 들어온 사람의 희생으로 자신의 인생의 바람과 한을 풀겠다는 내용이겠지요, 붉은 옷이 완성된다는건 한이 풀리고 인생의 종지부를 찍는것이니 웹툰에서 이어지는 내용에서 귀신은 학생을 죽이고 성불하지않았을까 싶은데 확실한결말은 나오지않았으니 단정짓기가 어렵네요...^^;;
덧붙여 이 영상의 노래가사 0:24 ~ 1:00 은 안경녀, 1:02 ~ 1:24 는 안경녀의 친구시점으로 두파트로 나눠져있는게 아닌가 생각해봅니다

OMG! That's the episode from "I love scary!" A girl tried to escape from a woman(want to make her white dress to red, with a girl's _L_OD), over and over again in her dream! that prequel, right? Awesome!🤩🤩🤩
So creepy and sad...but also complicated. Cause I know the main character(the girl who ran away in her dream over and over again)from the original story. So I can't feel pitiful for this video's a girl in glasses...
Thanks for releasing this on my birthday
