Come Listen to these, my eternal words
Judge not who you see by whatever they may say

All bad is forewarned, all good will come true”

No-longer-pale brunettes are broken in two
And thrown to the snouts of the anteater crew
John L is in tatters
His soapbox usurped
His torn robes adorn the
Tree stumps of the earth
No hack with an army
Will last long before he
Breeds men who yearn
For their own bloody glory

now this is a version of cats that i can like
Robert Fripp will be proud when he hears it
This gives the vibes of a video I would have come across as a kid late one night, being unnervingly fascinated by it. And although I'd eventually forget it, it would stick around deep in my subconscious
Help! I can't listen to anything else except black midi. I think I'm going insane
Try death grips or clown core man
Tf is clowncore? You invented it or smth?
Excellent. The perfect nebulous chunk of Zappa, King Crimson, Saccharine Trust, and Return to Forever with a little later-era Miles Davis on a mushroom safari fever dream in the center of the Great Victoria Desert, with only variously-colored melted otter pops (no water) to drink.
Good to see Saccharine Trust mentioned although I find BM's music leans more towards the NYC camp than the SST camp (more Contortions than Minutemen)
Return to forever and Miles Davis are as close to this as Dolly Parton.
@@nicolasflamm Ahhh my boy, between the tight passages, timely licks and chaotic squeaking, both Miles and Corea’s crew are adequately represented in essence.
@@brendansnyder8872 I know people like to make this kind of connections based on pretty much nothing but their own album collection. This does sound proggy. But people here are mentioning so much bands, from Primus to whatever. I just listen it for what it is.
@@nicolasflamm Well I made the connection based on what their maneuvers and motifs reminded me of. Mentioning the bands that I did was accurate for me because a connection was made. Sure I can hear aspects of Primus in there in several places, but Primus didn’t pop into my head. Everything has inklings of something else, doesn’t mean it’s by design. Keep on listenin as you wish
What a relief! I've been checking back so often for anything out - even a cat photo, and the lads pull out a Mobile Mona Lisa that makes Ye Olde Sledgehammer look feeble. I know I'm among many that are very happy to see you back. Proceed to board your Mothership and invade the World (especially Phoenix - offer senior discounts please, I can hear the Floyds murmuring already...).
this is the most beautiful thing ive ever seen
Absolutely brilliant, both in the choreography, and of course, the music. There is definitely something that is reminding me of Lark's Tongue in Aspic, but almost combined with some Dysrythmia, all while remaining as palatable and groovy as possible for what is being delivered. Bravo!
I use this song as motivation to get my sister out of my room. Black MIDI genuinely overwhelms her but I love this video. She gets about 2 minutes in before giving up! Great song! Beautiful video!
Loved this one when y’all played it live, hype for the album 💿
