Hi Roger, thanks for the watch! You ain’t kiddin’ on the air-box! I’ve talked to other people who got to that part and then just left it. Like “well the number plate color is fine..” lol. Glad you liked it.
Hi. Great video! I just bought 2016 KTM EXC six days 500. I just want to change graphics as the plastic is decent for now. It will get banged up anyway as I learn to ride. Any suggestion where I can buy the graphics for my KtM and any videos to how to replace the graphics? I also need the throttle and break guards. Unrelated question - my chain rattles when I enter in third gear at low throttle. The slack is fine. Any idea what it could be?
@@nabeelsiddiqi6695 I see your second message now, I covered where to get the graphics in my previous response. Look at Motosport.com, they are a great website. You can shop OEM for any year and brand, or aftermarket parts everything form engine parts plastic brakes whatever, as well as riding gear and pretty anything riding related. The hand guards you can definitely find there as well. There are a bunch of companies making them, just look for the style and color you like. Have fun with your build!
@@2SixCyclesports Today I finished with the airbox. I did try to align the rear fender and thought I had it in right place but then the bolt on top of the rear fender did not reach to the other side so I will continue another day. Your video was priceless anyway. Big thanks from Sweden!
You’re a better man than I! I had to take a break on that rear fender, frustration factor very high. Thought on it and came back to it the next day and finished it up actually ended up going together rather easily. Thank you so much for the compliment on the video I do appreciate you watching. I’m glad you enjoyed it.
You didnt have the clips in when you put the airbox cover on? I'm only Wondering because I'm changing mine right now and dont have rivets did you use screws? or Rivets? Ty
It’s a battle! But you have to get the square slots that slide over the subframe to line up, when I did it they were a little out of line and slightly twisted, so you have make sure they’re going to slide on. I pushed straight back from the tail once I got them aligned sliding the fender straight in. I actually used a soft mallet to get it moving a little bit striking it right on the point of the rear fender. You’ve also got to pay attention to the pieces that slide down along the airbox. Help them slide in the channel toward the holes in the airbox plastic where they mount. All while making sure to keep the bigger flap of plastic on the bottom side pulled down as you slide it in because it goes under the subframe plastic to line up the hole for the seat pan bolt. I wish I had documented that a little better in the video but it took a long time, I actually walked away from it at one point and gave myself time to think about it over night and eventually it came together. Good luck, you’ll get it!
Great video, that's a lot of work for the air box

About to try this. Wish me luck.
Go for it! I was most intimidated by the air box replacement but the rear fender was actually the trickiest bit. Good luck!
