As someone with chronic fatigue, I actually really appreciate you including all the time it took for the little stuff like looking for ingredients or “oops I can’t open the bag” or “oh no I burnt a thing and have to do it again” because all of those things take energy, but no one includes it in their “time for cooking”. It’s useful to know that a recipe like this takes about 20 minutes of cooking energy and about 5 minutes of extra energy. It helps me budget my energy better.
Don’t worry about the 20 minutes thing! Anyone who successfully does any of these 20 minutes cooking challenges has all of the ingredients already prepared , which saves a heck of a lot of time. This was an actual realistic quick cooking challenge. Great video BTW!
Don't stress about what people say. Keep doing what you do best. It works! If they have issues they don't have to watch. Period! Love your recipes and videos. Thx for sharing. Blessings.
I really shouldn't fixate on this, but your journey to a healthy weight is incredible and inspiring. I hope it continues to be a positive change for you. Im still on my journey with intermittent fasting, just trying to be better 1 day at a time.
Hey thanks! You can do it, keep that mindset, its one day at a time and a long journey, but as long as you keep going you will eventually get there and getting there is what maters! also be kind to yourself!! There will always be bumps along the road and thats ok!
Plant Basics is super yummy, you really can't go wrong there! If anybody was wondering if he's putting you on because it's a sponsored product, he's not. It's just really good (both the chicken seasoning powder and the TVP)
First time so early! But in all seriousness, what a great recipe :) Simple, effective, flavorful and very well balanced actually! Also, when it comes to the time it took you: you're just so good at explaining stuff (and used to doing it) it just makes it harder for you to do it super quick :D
hahaha yay!! Thanks for being early!!! It's so tough to film, talk, and try to rush! hahah like I feel like if I was just making this it would be 15 minutes.. idk haha but thank you!!
Saucestache, no need to rush. If you told me that recipe took 30 minutes or less I would’ve believed you. Anyway, will you show us your meal prep routine? Great video once again! 👍
i appreciate the short time recipes. It isnt often i have hours to cook, even less often i have the hours and the desire to cook for hours. i would do this one.
Sauce this was amazing for 25 minutes I was also thinking that with the leftovers you could make a power bowl that's what I usually do and I'm sure Monica would approve that cilantro avocado Crema would be the perfect dressing😊 so technically you made two meals another 25 minutes❤🎉
I am also obsessed with smoked paprika and the chipotles en adobo. I use them to make sauce for juevos rancheros. The one question would be does it have a coconut flavor?
Chipotles en Adobo is SOOOO GOOD!! I love it! And everyone jokes about my smoked paprika obsession hahah I use it in everything. This doesnt have a strong coconut flavor, mostly because of the acids used... really knocks it down quite a bit!
Really like the time challenge! You did a great job, and you and Monica always do a great job explaining everything. If you had had more time, would you have changed anything (that you think could make it better)? If you have never tried it, I recommend you try rehydrating things (like TVP or ramen) in slightly watered-down sauce (like your sauce).
Yeah! So it's a drawer in our island and in the drawer I bought Bamboo Drawer Dividers from amazon! I measured to make sure I had the right length and just divided the draw up based on the size of the jar! Eventually im going to replace all the jars with glass jars and easier labels to read and keep everything in order
I expected all of that to be super expensive considering the quality, but honest $13.99 for 2 pounds of meat. That’s pretty awesome. And their seasoning looks amazing as well.
Hahaha I was literally thinking "if he says 'this is dinner' like usual, with those three scrawny tacos, I'll understand how he lost so much weight, and it won't be down to Noom", when you said basically this isn't dinner, so good on ya, for realism. Tacos look good, but genuine corn tortillas are better, yo.
yeah that woulda been dinner if I made 3 more with some rice and beans haha and yes!! Corn Tortillas is where it's at! Monica bought a bunch of flour tortillas for the last hurricane we had because they were on sale! So now I'm just running through them! I had a PB&J taco the other day hahaha
Black Tie Kitchen is a pretty good RUclips channel created by a man named Dennis, who, like you, is bald, wears glasses, and has facial hair. I think he has more beard nowadays. He specializes in low-carb recipes. The reference? A lot of his videos are narrated by a mysterious David Attenborough type voice. (Dennis won't confirm or deny that he is the narrator. ) Whenever Dennis wipes down his cooking space, the voice says, "Then he cleans because... ants."
I'm loving your more recent content Saucestache.. Keep simplifying your recipes and making them more accessible (and more healthy) for viewers by not using all the chemicals and msg etc.
i know this channel and especially this episode is all about the fakemeats but I would really love if you branched out into standard vegan meals. :) I will keep watching you no matter what.

Honestly, be proud of that for 20 minutes. I'm giving you a 5 minute reprieve due to the cameras. Those look so good!
Thank you!!! hahaha The cameras really held me back haha

Thank you so much!!! And very true! Much appreciated!!
I agree. I'm always annoyed with the "20/30-minute recipes" where they have all the ingredients chopped and prepped. That's half the time right there!
I love your food channel and I love when Monica come in and give her opinion on the food and keep up the good work we are learning so much🥙🥙🥙
Thanks so much!!! I really appreciate that!!
Looks great. Plant basics are great, I’m a texture fanatic. ❤
Yes they are! They really nail it!! and thank you

haha thank you! yeah not an easy go at it, I need to do this more
I expected all of that to be super expensive considering the quality, but honest $13.99 for 2 pounds of meat. That’s pretty awesome. And their seasoning looks amazing as well.
Did you order some? The discount code is not working for me...
we always all make our own tacos once all the ingredients are ready so you were basically good to go in my standards by around 20 minutes!!
havent tuned in a while and wow the weight loss is definitely apparent
Thank you!!! I just released my weight loss video last week actually! It's been a long road!
Just make tostadas with the overcooked tortillas. Also I have never done well rushing a meal. I take my time.
Super true with the tostadas... I didnt waste them, I still snacked the heck outa em hahaha
@@SauceStache I personally love overcooked tortillas. I didn’t see the waste. 😜
Looks delicious! 👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you 😋

4:32 (with an exaggerated British accent): Then he cleans because ... ants. 👍🏻if you got the reference
I removed the thumbs up I gave because I dont get the reference hahah ugh I hate not knowing something! It still gets a heart though

Can you pls write out the amount of everything you use? 😊
You and gaz oakley should do a vegan collaboration cookout one day
The protein is stored room temperature?
Yeah! I just keep it in my pantry
Make vegan from tofu skin, flavour, gluten rice 1/3 from flavour 😊
20min timer started at 2:44 on the stove clock, ended at 3:07 👀
Not sure why the lives need to be timed?
He mentioned he was just doing something for fun.
Saucestache? More like Sus Stache, he's a sus imposter (Red)
?

@@SauceStache It's an Among Us video game reference.
Unsubscribed because it took more than 20 minutes (kidding!!)
whahah you got me for a second haha
Could you do a video on this brand of TP? I bought a whole bunch of it, and the chickn & beef seasonings.... and I'm not sure what to do. Lol
