    I have two cousins with huge organic avocado farms. Everything is grown organically, with naturally sourced water. They literally grow the best tasting avocados I've ever had. But they are unable to export anything because of how many palms that they have to grease.

    Do they need to check each avocado for ripeness before making guacamole in the factory? I can’t imagine they are all ripe at this stage

      in cyprus we buy avocados unripe and it takes about a week in a dark place for this to happen ......i cant wait !!!!!!!!

    Another dark side of avocado plantations are the use of excessive amount of water. Once they started to fruit the tree consumes a lot of water in order to sustain the fruit.

      It's lead to farms using illegal water sources around Spain. Theres some great videos online of people trying to stop this but they're extremely dark/dangerous

    You really could have edited out that alarm. It's kind of a nice thing to do for the viewers. Mostly the ones like me that are wearing earbuds.

      The annoying thing is that after all this, they don't even taste nice. The ones in Africa specifically Zimbabwe are big and really creamy and flavourful

      There are huge strip mines digging up lithium and other rare earth minerals to make batteries for Electric Vehicles that a way more damaging than an avocado orchard. But who cares.

    If you squeeze & stir a ½ lime into your guacamole, it won't turn brown. 😉

      LOL I had an Army friend from CT who and never seen one before... We had them in the mess hall in iraq. He loved them.... Try to get your hands on some... When they are soft is when they are ripe. Dont try to eat a hard one. Add a touch of salt.

    • @alexinburlesontx9967
      @alexinburlesontx9967 3 года назад +3

      If it taste like soap it was a rancid avocado or your guacamole had cilantro. And, lucky you, have the gene that picks up the "aldehyde" chemical on your tongue. Most people do not have that gene.
