An entire Jim Lee drawn comic of Hellboy would be one of my most prize possessions if he had made it.
I love how he starts out with his kids bunny pencil! It's not about the supplies folks, it's about the practice time!
Well it obviously is if he covered up the bunny pencil marks with fine inks & a white out pen
@@jacesea4243 But still the point is missed on you. More practice = better performance. That's why artist like Moderndayjames and Sinix have so many drawing sessions. Art supplies are useless twigs if you haven't tempered your core skill to a steel like strength.
Its just an #2 HB pencil. I still draw with those from time to time for gesture sketching.
Hellboy is such a cool and unique character and to see Jim draw him in his own art style and aesthetic to the character is Truly Phenomenal!
Jim Lee and Bob Ross are the only traditional artists I know to embrace and turn mistakes into a better thing

Where was the mistake?
The left collar is much larger than the right collar, which breaks the perspective and looks wrong. But who cares right? :)

its interesting to see some lines/brushstrokes i would have done exactly the same way and others i wouldnt have thought of. So inspiring!

You have to be a subscriber to get one of the better sketches. Like this one I believe was for $10 subscribers. But yeah... as soon as he's done sketching he just randomly picks a name out of the chat room.

Dope piece of work but creating the same characters of years is corny. Time for new characters to be made. Kill off the old legends
