IMO It's the best ever. Not only it teases you and hook you but it actually gives you a sort of satisfaction and really makes you think. And it's not just the idea behind it to be genius but the cinematography, the characters, the editing and, of course, the hidden message.
I love how most celebrities try so hard to be larger than life, and here's Adam Scott painting a very vivid picture of him on his day off just tending his own yard vacuuming up rabbit poop with a hand-vac lmfao
There has been good series and awesome series. After watching the first season I can tell you that Severance is on a complete different level. The actors are simply perfect in their role but there's more. It clearly is a metaphor about the human condition but I still can't quite grasp the enormity of it. Best TV show ever, period.
I think it's the question that "what are us without our memories and what we learn from them" that attracts many to Severance. This idea of "would I still talk the way I do? Laugh the way I do? Walk the way I do? Fall in love the way I do?" Severance puts questions like that in our subconscious and we try to look for answers through these characters who are going through this experience. I would say "It's simply brilliant" but it's not. It's thought out and surgical, all the way from conception to writing to acting to editing it's all so well done that's why we can't out our fingers on one reason why we love it, we just love "it", everything about it
Usually, I watch for the first fun half of the interview and leave for the promoting part. But, I'm here for the Severance talk!!!! The Marvel shows have so much extra stuff and Severance is so elusive for the week between episodes. I did see the Apple book they put out, which is fun, but nothing like worrying about Helly one entire week and Dylan this week.
Also, I watch a decent amount of Kimmel and I love when he loves a show. But, I get the impression that he didn't care for Ted Lasso, because I watched those interviews and he approaches them different. So, I when I clicked on this - I thought, I hope Kimmel likes this show, so he does a Marvel level enthusiastic fan interview with spoiler seeking questions.
I haven't loved a show this much since breaking bad. That made me feel something... truly amazing and I cannot believe I binged it. How am I supposed to wait for the second season?? Absolutely genius.
Man has a phenomenal head of hair, probably never has to worry about hair thinning or hair loss; also, curious as to what his blood pressure is, as he always seems strikingly calm.
@@ProductionsHomegrown they shake a lot in the show too. I wondered if that was part of his character from the writers insinuating he's an alcoholic, but I guess that's just him
@Daniel Drader Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy Fallons show as well, especially segments like thank you notes, hashtags, etc. However sometimes his laugh is way too forceful which is just cringe worthy.
Gotta admit, I also thought maybe Irving and Burt’s outies might be a real couple and that their true love was able to bleed through into their office selves. I still hold out hope for that.
I got chills when they revealed Irv as a painter. This showed to me on some deep level, they weren’t completely severed as Irv has a deep love and interest for all the art on display at work
Just finished watching the latest episode.. I dunno what they're doing at that company, but it better not turn out to be something banal in the end, or I'm gonna throw a fit!
I've always just assumed they're working on the severance chips themselves, the "macrodata" being data from different severance chips sent to each terminal. They could be slowly chipping away at different emotions or memories of themselves or others, which would sort-of-but-not-really explain the "scared feeling" when looking at certain groups of numbers. Like the ultimate goal is to produce the perfect severance chip before rolling it out to the rest of the world, making sure there are absolutely no faults. Could be completely wrong too though lol but that's part of the fun
"Pinched" in these isles is an old euphemism for arrested. I spent three days in the Santa Cruz county jail (plant abuse). It was lovely. What a great place to grow up.
In England you get a pinch and a punch for the first day of the month 🤣 normally quite light on the arm. Was a big thing is school, haven’t seen it being done in the workplace.
I just found that out about the bunny poops because my brother told me the same thing -- that his dog just loves them when they are out walking the trails. Ugh. I plan to subscribe to Apple TV+ just so I can watch Severance. Love Adam Scott, Patricia Marquette, John Turturro and Christopher Walken. Sounds like my kind of show!
I was surprised at how many quality shows were on it! And beware: bunny poop has leptospirosis in it. I lost a dog to it from her habit of eating it. Rabbit proofed my yard after. Didn't want to lose another like that. It was horrible.
Working on movie films are hilarious I was on Gattaca and we wrapped at 9 AM after filming all night and I’m picking up the cones I was a location manager assistant and I look around everybody is gone poof! including the police and they took my walkie🤣 I am in the middle of the busiest intersection in downtown LA so I just sat on the curb and I had no cell phone back then. It took them an hour to realize they left me I still find that funny
Plenty of Irish here in Australia (of course), but I've never heard of the pinching thing. We only do that for the first day of the month (with a punch).

Haha! Once was in our local bar and there was 6 friends, all with same name. Because an older brother sold his birth certificate to everyone and they each went to DMV and got a license in his name with their photos…very popular in the early 90’s before NYS DMV got wise to it
severance is one of the greatest shows ive seen in many years as good of a show as stanley parables is a game (and stanley parables if you havent played it is one of the best games of all time)
I can’t believe no one’s saying anything about the fact that Adam knows the correct names for a type of phoneme. Jimmy just skipped right over it; meanwhile, I had to go Google it. I didn’t expect to be learning linguistics vocabulary during a late night talk show!
HAHAH everyone wondering about Adam's shaking hands... try and go on jimmy Kimmel and and not have your hands shaking. It's called anxiety... and I would likely pass out -- forget about my hands shaking lol
You can see the tremors in the show too, I’m hoping it’s not Parkinson’s but sometimes his hands shake and speech sounds faintly off too in the show/ this interview.. it’s super faint but idk
Severance is one of the most genius shows I've watched in a long time

Seriously. Very well written and paced. Amazing cast too.
My friend said it has raised his standards for television 😮

Because it's on AppleTV
Severence is AMAZING! I’ve never been so relieved than to see there was a 2nd season coming.

Watching Parks&Rec now, now I can appreciate he's an amazing actor

Both Adam Scott (Severance) and Nick Offerman(Devs) really got some acting chops.

Is it me or is he shaking? His hands were constantly shaking throughout the interview🤔🤔. Love Severence!!!!
He did the same on the James Corden interview,
I noticed this too 🤔
Either he is super nervous or a struggling alcoholic
Watch any of his interviews he's always shaking maybe a condition?
He has tremors
Used to make fake ID's at my local Blockbuster back in the day...the machine that made cards could also be used for whatever else.
