I’ve seen the opposite be more successful online. Rogan is authentic to who he is, exposing his flaws stating his ignorance to subject etc…another hit podcast Tiger Belly also has a flawed personality in its center, Bobby Lee who is very much open to his ass hole past and how ignorant he is. Maybe this idea of 24 hour putting on a show is true of politicians but in terms of what works well online is not performance, it is authenticity.
