I assume this would be post true ending with sunny not running from his fears anymore and innocently dreaming instead, it's kinda hinted at with the friends being their real world counterparts instead of head space's idealized fakes.
Interesting, good to know the damage formula on Allegro. I kind of wish this challenge was possible without Allegro being so obscene, but the Faraway cast are simply not built for Dream World bosses unless you modify their skill sets (which would then ruin the purpose of the challenge).

hehe, that's more or less the justification i used for modding my way back into headspace after beating the normal route to play the postgame (surprisingly, both routes set the "saved basil" flag to on determine progress)
Honestly, the idea that Sunny continues to visit Headspace even after reconciliation is really interesting considering he spent so long dreaming to avoid having to deal with the real world. There's some evidence to suggest that Black Space wasn't originally scary, though, so it could very well be possible.
Fun fact: allegro is an attack that does % damage of the opponents health. The specific formula is: (Foe's Max HP x 0.15 + Attack x 1 - Foe's defense) and it attacks 3 times. So the bigger the HP, the more it does. So at minimum it deals 1360 per slice. Normally damage THAT high is only on vertigo nuke, Kel nuke, or last resort nuke. But those only hit once a turn (in Aubrey’s case it toasts her, whereas kel needs a turn to flex again before run n gun)

Basil can't fight. SPOILERS Basil *using gardening shears* does like 3-10 dmg per hit. While Sunny *who has no weapon, and was inside for 4 years straight, and eating little* does 15-20 dmg, so Basil is just REALLY weak.
Wow, if Sunny is doing this much damage when he has Phase 1 Omori stats, and only used Cherish once, yet Omori at that stage was taking literally 36-38 damage... Holy fuck Omori is by far the strongest boss even in stage 1

omori is definitely worth playing!! it is not at all apparent from all the nonsense on display in the video, but it's a psychological horror rpg about overcoming trauma and learning to live again. it has the best art direction of any game i've ever played, an incredible soundtrack, and one of the most powerful endings ever written for a video game imo. i'm not a games critic, but i definitely got the sense while playing that every single detail was meticulously made to create atmosphere or to convey themes or character in some form or another. it gets incredibly bleak, with numerous references to and depictions of self-harm and suicide, but if you can stomach it, i would recommend it, 1000%. it's a slow burn but it burns so good. one of the best arguments for video games being art in recent memory
tl;dr: the game is great, and if you're unsure, go watch the 2017 trailer -- you should be able to tell from there if it's up your alley or not. try not to look at anything else about it, though, cause fans really like talking about the ending...
no? Red hands does around 250*4 (about 1000 total), but Allegro here does about 1500*3 (4500 total, which is over 4 times more than red hands, I think you're confusing this with the OMORI fight, where it does less than 240 total)
....Wait. If Allegro's damage is percentage based and 2 Allegros remove 90% of the enemy's health, then why do some phases end after only 2 Allegros in the Omori fight? Does Cherish boost the damage dealt by Allegro?
Almost every attack in the game is set to be able to deal anywhere between 0.8× or 1.2× the exact sum of the damage formula, which is why each hit of Allegro doesn't just deal the same amount of damage. Also, the damage formula for Allegro does take Attack - Defense into account, but it's so negligible in this fight that I didn't bother to mention it. I think it's like, 15% of target HP + 0.8× User's Attack - 1.0× Target's Defense or something like that.

cherish does not increase your strength and allegro damage is based on the target's max hp; omori has 240 hp whereas perfectheart has 10000

omori is definitely worth playing!! it is not at all apparent from all the nonsense on display in the video, but it's a psychological horror rpg about overcoming trauma and learning to live again. it has the best art direction of any game i've ever played, an incredible soundtrack, and one of the most powerful endings ever written for a video game imo. i'm not a games critic, but i definitely got the sense while playing that every single detail was meticulously made to create atmosphere or to convey themes or character in some form or another. it gets incredibly bleak, with numerous references to and depictions of self-harm and suicide, but if you can stomach it, i would recommend it, 1000%. it's a slow burn but it burns so good. one of the best arguments for video games being art in recent memory
tl;dr: the game is great, and if you're unsure, go watch the 2017 trailer -- you should be able to tell from there if it's up your alley or not. try not to look at anything else about it, though, cause fans really like talking about the ending...

no? Red hands does around 250*4 (about 1000 total), but Allegro here does about 1500*3
(4500 total, which is over 4 times more than red hands, I think you're confusing this with the OMORI fight, where it does less than 240 total)
....Wait. If Allegro's damage is percentage based and 2 Allegros remove 90% of the enemy's health, then why do some phases end after only 2 Allegros in the Omori fight? Does Cherish boost the damage dealt by Allegro?
Almost every attack in the game is set to be able to deal anywhere between 0.8× or 1.2× the exact sum of the damage formula, which is why each hit of Allegro doesn't just deal the same amount of damage. Also, the damage formula for Allegro does take Attack - Defense into account, but it's so negligible in this fight that I didn't bother to mention it. I think it's like, 15% of target HP + 0.8× User's Attack - 1.0× Target's Defense or something like that.
