Fighting Perfectheart as Sunny and friends

- Well... that wasn't so bad.
Sunny's "Allegro" deals 15% of the target's Max Heart 3 times, and never misses. So as long as he always has over 200 Heart, you can just use Encore and Allegro to win the fight without too much struggle.
In case you were wondering, I modded the game to let me change the party's names so I could name them after childhood friends that they reminded me of, and edited the battle text so that the game actually used the party's names. That's why their names are different.
Party set up:
AUBREY (JEN)
CHARM - WEDDING RING
Aubrey is the only one able to actually damage Perfectheart with her Homerun attack, so the idea was to have her start off Happy to let her act sooner.
SUNNY (LIAM)
Level 10*
WEAPON - VIOLIN
CHARM - HECTOR JR
The Faraway Town cast can't actually perform Follow ups, so the Energy stat is essentially always at 10 after Perfectheart uses more than one of her several full party attacks.
KEL (MATTHEW)
CHARM - FLOWER CROWN
One of Perfectheart's attacks deals exactly 175 damage to everyone, so in order for Kel to actually get to do anything he needs to have at least 200 Heart, which is a problem considering he only gets 130.
HERO (RYAN)
CHARM - ROSE HAIRCLIP
I like Hero but he sucks for this. He's way too slow and way too weak. I figured that maybe if all his stats were boosted he might be a little more useful, but his Speed is still too low and Defense is largely ignored by Perfectheart.
My plan was to lower Perfectheart's Speed to 30% and make Aubrey, Kel, and Hero all Ecstatic as quickly as possible, and then to keep healing the party with Kel and Hero while Aubrey used Homerun and Sunny used Allegro. Unfortunately that strategy doesn't really work because Perfectheart isn't that merciful. I was probably doomed if I hadn't already done so much damage.
*Sunny has his own unique level up stat curves, whereas the others revert down to their Head Space stats after reaching level 2, so I modded everyone but Sunny to gain 0% of the experience earned in fights. Despite the Faraway group having their max levels set to 1 in the database, they would normally still be able to level up for some reason.

By the way, how Allegro works is that the damage is calculated as:
[(Enemy Max HP*0.15)+Attack]-Enemy Defense

makes sense that Sunny is able to do so much damage since it's literally his dream. Also now I wanna see some kind of scene after Sunny gets in his car of him falling asleep in the car and visiting Headspace, but with the real counterparts of everyone, kinda like an after credits extra scene.

I think he’s also unable to experience the 2nd emotion stages like estatic, depressed and enraged
is because in sunny's world he wasn't supposed to feel those emotions
he has been too traumatized so he lost sense of **showing** emotion

sunny deals an absurd amount of damage a literal glass cannon
Glass cannon implies he dies fast, but he has the most health (not counting the boss fight)
RW Sunny has the lowest health and lowest attack but the VS OMORI version of Sunny (the version during the OMORI battle, and is used here)
Has the *MOST* health and attack, along with the overpowered CALM DOWN, CHERISH, ALLEGRO, and ENCORE.

Being only able to access this fight in the bad route, I find it kinda funny that Sunny is just in Headspace with his actual, real friends.

I assume this would be post true ending with sunny not running from his fears anymore and innocently dreaming instead, it's kinda hinted at with the friends being their real world counterparts instead of head space's idealized fakes.
Interesting, good to know the damage formula on Allegro. I kind of wish this challenge was possible without Allegro being so obscene, but the Faraway cast are simply not built for Dream World bosses unless you modify their skill sets (which would then ruin the purpose of the challenge).
Probably wouldn't be possible with RW Sunny, as he has no good damaging, but with VS OMORI Sunny, he has allegro, and a ton of health

Also CALM DOWN and CHERISH means he can heal it back *really* easily, possibly giving him more tanking ability than OMORI (not the enemy, because infinite resist deaths is kinda OP)

Sunny still can't get happy just yet, so this dream might be soon after he told the truth while also being far enough away from it that he wasn't having a nightmare. If his friends are still their older selves in this fight, then they might not have distanced themselves from Sunny and he's just dealing with the internal aftermath from a different setting...
hehe, that's more or less the justification i used for modding my way back into headspace after beating the normal route to play the postgame (surprisingly, both routes set the "saved basil" flag to on determine progress)
Honestly, the idea that Sunny continues to visit Headspace even after reconciliation is really interesting considering he spent so long dreaming to avoid having to deal with the real world. There's some evidence to suggest that Black Space wasn't originally scary, though, so it could very well be possible.
I love how sunny was literally the ONLY survivor at the end of the fight.

Makes me wonder if someone could mod Omori to make it take place exclusively in Faraway Town. Where you play as and go up against the Faraway counterparts of the Headspace characters. And level up regularly too.
I got a bit weirded out by the character names being different at first. But after looking at the video description, it’s sweet of you to rename the characters after your real life childhood friends.

Some detail in the game i like is how the real world portraits don't fit perfectly in the box, showing how much time passed ever since Mari's death.

Fun fact: allegro is an attack that does % damage of the opponents health.
The specific formula is: (Foe's Max HP x 0.15 + Attack x 1 - Foe's defense) and it attacks 3 times. So the bigger the HP, the more it does. So at minimum it deals 1360 per slice.
Normally damage THAT high is only on vertigo nuke, Kel nuke, or last resort nuke. But those only hit once a turn (in Aubrey’s case it toasts her, whereas kel needs a turn to flex again before run n gun)

There are no stats/battle sprites for Basil. So modding him into battle will be an issue.

Basil *using gardening shears* does like 3-10 dmg per hit.
While Sunny *who has no weapon, and was inside for 4 years straight, and eating little* does 15-20 dmg, so Basil is just REALLY weak.

Holy fuck Omori is by far the strongest boss even in stage 1
cherish does not increase your strength and allegro damage is based on the target's max hp; omori has 240 hp whereas perfectheart has 10000

I know nothing about this game and its lore, but it looks cool
omori is definitely worth playing!! it is not at all apparent from all the nonsense on display in the video, but it's a psychological horror rpg about overcoming trauma and learning to live again. it has the best art direction of any game i've ever played, an incredible soundtrack, and one of the most powerful endings ever written for a video game imo. i'm not a games critic, but i definitely got the sense while playing that every single detail was meticulously made to create atmosphere or to convey themes or character in some form or another. it gets incredibly bleak, with numerous references to and depictions of self-harm and suicide, but if you can stomach it, i would recommend it, 1000%. it's a slow burn but it burns so good. one of the best arguments for video games being art in recent memory
tl;dr: the game is great, and if you're unsure, go watch the 2017 trailer -- you should be able to tell from there if it's up your alley or not. try not to look at anything else about it, though, cause fans really like talking about the ending...

no? Red hands does around 250*4 (about 1000 total), but Allegro here does about 1500*3
(4500 total, which is over 4 times more than red hands, I think you're confusing this with the OMORI fight, where it does less than 240 total)
