Roger wrote this song which explains why it is drum and bass heavy and just a different kind of Queen song. The band was getting along much better when recording this album than they every had. They were a team and knowing that they would be losing Freddie soon made them realize what they had and how important each member was to the success they had achieved. Also they decided that all songs would be credited to Queen so everyone got an equal part of the royalties which ended the arguments over ego and money which also allowed more input from each band member toward the finished product. I think Innuendo is one of Queen's very best albums, it seems that each of them had finally come of age and were well settled into their own abilities and also had become more humble. Great to see you back, Happy New Year to you and those you love. May it be filled with love, light, peace, happiness and prosperity.
Have loved this song ever since the first time I heard it, that driving beat just carries you along. Always so happy to hear someone else loving it too. Thank you. Great puppy, he is so full of life.
❤❤❤❤😊😊❤❤❤I am recovering from covid19 for the EIGHTH TIME!!!!I watched many of your reactions. My favorite are IN THE LAP OF THE GODS live at the Rainbow, the PROPHET SONG, GIMME THE PRIZE and WHITE QUEEN
Thanks, David! I love the Innuendo album. It has so many greats on it. Buddy has grown so much and I am glad that you have him. This is a great Roger song, he really picked up his writing skills in the 80's through the 90's. Thanks again! Might want to give a listen to the demo "Stealin". It is more of a jamming session but still great.
Great to have you back David and buddie us gorgeous your top 3 Queen reactions for me are In my Defence The Prophet Song and You Take My Breath Away take care David thank you x x
Spectacular experience for me . . . for some time I've loved this track but your observations magnified Roger, Deaky and Brians superbly presented talents. I mean Roger was obviously riding along side Freddie --- well, Deaky and Brian too. Special reaction here. Thanks much. (Happy New Year!)
So happy to see you back David 😊 I love this song and I agree with you about Freddie singing it so near the end of his life. TY for your great reaction … and Buddy is gorgeous 🥰😊
When I hear this song I often feel, that I have to ride a bike, though I've never tried it. 😂 My favourite reaction? When you first mentioned the "machine gun" vibrato.
Just to understand how diverse Queen were and are, You take my Breath Away Hyde Park 1976 or Montréal 1981 Somebody to Love, both live and both Genius, love the channel mate !!
He's done both versions of You take my Breath Away - live and album version, and both the Montreal and Milton Keynes versions of Somebody to Love - enjoy!
Wasn't having a go, just new to the channel, two great performances, just passing on my personal favourites, Keep passing those open windows my friend !!
Love the vibe this song gives me, Innuendo was a great album for that. Id love to see a compilation of your Queen reactions, I've watched most of them dozens of times now and every once in awhile one you've done that I've never seen before pops up, chalk it up to crazy youtube algorithms I guess. I have always loved your reactions, watching you fall in love with Queen has been so special to me. 👑
Innuendo was one of the first Queen albums I bought as a 15 year old back in 2001. For whatever reason, and it baffles me to this day, I used to skip this track without even hearing it! More fool me because it's a BELTER! Innuendo is a classic album from start to finish because of tracks like this. I always get a Formula One vibe from it too! Thank you, David, for another brilliant reaction!
This song is sort of a sequel to “I’m In Love With My Car” 🚙 🩵 which focused on Roger’s passion for cars & race! The song is about seeking excitement & adventure in life. A desire to break free from every day existence!! “Get your head down, baby .. we’re gonna ride tonight”. 🏍️💨
I’m In Love With My Car has nothing personally to do with Roger. It was written for their roadie at the time Johnathan Harris, his Triumph TR4, he called the “love of his life”. The ending of the song features the sound of Roger’s Alfa Romeo’s engine revving
Brian May probably has the most distinctive sound of any guitarist, the guy has played on so many other artists tracks there are too many to list, from Lady Gaga to Motorhead to Black Sabbath to Dappy, he has played with them all. Lonny Donnegans Diggin my potatoes is a fun obscure track to listen to if you like a bit of Skiffle
Yeah I got a Buddy boop! Missed the Jack 'ems! Great reaction, and I'd love to see a best of - my favs being In the Lap of the Gods (obvs) and Princes of the Universe. Stay well 🤗
Could you react please to new multitalented artist from Wales Ren and few of his masterpieces like Hi Ren, Jenny and Screech's Tale Trilogy, Money Game pt 1,2 and 3 and his duets with Chinchilla " Chalked Outlines" and " How to be me". Fantastic rapper, singer, storyteller, lyricist, actor , briłiant guitarist, bassist and pianist . He has it all. And of course for finally reacting to Ride The ild Wind. One of my favorites on Innuendo album
David, youre next reaction should be this: ruclips.net/video/LgROJoX3OYM/видео.htmlsi=LnMnH7J2exDY8T_G brian, roger and John are on fire. Elton sings the show must go on with them in 1997 and its Johns last live moment with queen..so it's history
