I use full body contractions, with constant variations in speed, (Concentric & Eccentric.) I change angles, widths and also use isometric holds for each set and muscle group. Train until complete failure, 100% But approach any exercise with knowledge, so you don't hurt yourself early on. Good on you guys for pointing out the breathing techniques as well. I’ve been seeing a lot of videos talking about doing half,baby, or partial reps that keep constant tension on muscle vs complete range. Evidently that’s how they do them in the pen too. I started using those in at least one set.
My football coach had us do pushups like that. It was 1,2,3 then exploded up, and that's one pushup. Its tough. 😤💪🏿😤

Adding a tip here for the weighted pushups: if you don’t have a plate, fill your backpack with books, water bottles, whatever and use that as weight
or...put a plate in your backpack as I do,more safe and stable
