@@johnjennings5079 absolutely, I found a celtic stater with a deus 1 lite and original coil on a one way signal, very nearly missed it. If any coil can give you an advantage on a worked field it’s worth its weight. Cheers
@@DIRTBROSDETECTING most definitely I have the manticore 15 inch and I found some amazing stuff on pasture and now I'm using the smaller coils to get through the nitty gritty signals. But the big coil punches to be fair and finds the smallest of targets I have found.
@@johnjennings5079 that was the first thing I noticed with the 15” coil, deep signals sounded more positive so you feel the extra power it’s putting into the ground, can’t wait run it over a few quiet fields I have where everything is deep😊
Wow, I was surprised the 15-inch coil didn’t hit the Vicky penny. Do you think there has been any leachate from all the iron particles present which has further contaminated the target signal? On the Equinox, the 15-inch coil always gets whatever the stock coil finds only with a much harder signal response. I definitely think you’ve made the right choice buying the 15-inch coil, as it should do really well on some of your sites.
I think there’s some serious masking going on with the Vicky penny, the 11” will only hit it one way, it’s a tough target. It’s a hard test garden with the depth of the targets and the iron contamination. I did pick the cleanest part of the garden but interesting to see how the machines cope with it, also I think the new 9” would do very well on it. I went out on Sunday with the 15 and it did very well, video will be up this week hopefully Thanks @anthonywestwood8489👍
@@DIRTBROSDETECTINGYour test bed is definitely indicative of real-life detecting conditions, which is much better for learning the strength and weaknesses of a detector. Especially since it’s a real eyeopener just how much a small piece of iron can throw the detector off kilter, which otherwise you wouldn’t have realised without prior testing. I look forward to the upload of what you found using the 15-inch coil on Sunday!
This is also why on my own permissions I go through fields with a fine tooth comb and do them at varying angles multiple times.
