These were intentionally held out of the USA market. After their sales slumped in other countries there were a small amount of them released to the USA. Just at that time I needed a new tablet for drone use. Holy cow this works good with a couple drone brands. If they would have pushed these in the States they would have sold a train load. Sadly I cant source the pogo dock for a realistic price.
I'm in the USA and got mine on Amazon Prime day 2 years ago. I use it with my DJI drones, very nice display and I love that the battery is replaceable.
In Australia I had to order mine from Singapore as nobody stocked them in any phone shops. I've had mine constantly in use showing video and using it for phone calls without any problems now for over 2 years. It get treated roughly but with respect that any delicate electronic device should receive. It comes with a rugged case but I bought a custom rubber case with kick down stand and Velcro hand strap for easy handling. I've always bought Samsung phones and tablets and fully endorse the Samsung galaxy active 3 LTE 4G tablet for making and receiving calls and texting, Watching and making videos. Take care everyone ❤️
I didn't even know it existed until two years after it went on sale. I just bought the ipad pro, but I realized I didn't like it at all. It's too big. What version should I buy? 4G or wireless?
Hi Pipo, the battery should be good enough for regular usage, you can always prepare another fully-charged battery as a replacement just in case you are out or a power bank will be good as well.
I find the battery rather small. I have cellphones that have 5000 mAh batteries. The tab active 3 has a bigger screen. I think a 6050 mAh at minimum would've barely sufficed. Also you missed one great feature. The tab active 3 is one of the only tablets out there with NFC. Google pay etc. can be used with the tablet. Also all models of the tablet shouldve came with 128gb minimum internal memory. The best versions have only 64gb of space. Luckily the SD card is fully accessible for full storage of most apps and media etc.
Wow your comment is so constructive, we appreciate that! The battery itself is relatively small, that's why it offers the replaceable battery feature we guess. Besides, ss Tab active series has just come into 3rd version, we shall await what Samsung could offer in the upcoming models too :)
Is this tab really heavy weight and have huge thickness, so it is not comfortable to be used by one hand for along time? Plz Can I use this tab for reading pdfs without my hands get tired?
Hi Muhammad, the tablet's screen size is 8" (should be small enough to fit on one hand) and weighs about 500 g. You can read PDFs with one hand AND use the S Pen to annotate or sign it with another if necessary. If you watched our latest Breaking the Myth video, you'll notice our talent Hani is holding the tablet with one hand without any difficulties.
I got the Active pro 10'' recently, open box $300 Canadian discount including tax. It's been years I wanted this and I did not realize there was a 10-inch version. It was just a fluke I happened to see it on Amazon on sale and I couldn't resist. I have two other Samsung tablets but they are Android 5 and no longer compatible with many of my apps so I actually needed a new tablet.
This tablet is also very popular for adventure motorcycle navigation systems ... Waterproof and vibration tolerant

T577 will not make phone calls because it doesn't have an earpiece at the top

Depends on your usage, but usually WIFI model is sufficient enough for normal tasks. However, Malaysia only has 1 model which is LTE version fyi.
Wireless is all I could purchase and it works fine for my needs.

Can u use the tablet as cellular with simcard?
Yes you can do that, it has LTE version that allow you to insert sim card
Some of these had that ability.
In US, cellular is data only. You can use something like Google Voice to make calls though and can use the cell data or Wifi data for the calls..
