I forgot to mention that in an interview last year, Su-metal said this performance was especially meaningful to them as they refer back to it for strength when at the time, they were fighting against those who said they weren't real metal and the resistance they received from the metal community. The crowd response reminds them of the road they have traveled so far and to keep up the strength to power on. And how special The One are to them (as they wrote and dedicated the song The One to the fans, and performed it in english). Many people just watch the performance as it is, but backstage, they are still teenage girls growing up even though they've been in the industry for a while. The strict guidelines they followed helped them cope with the ugliness of the entertainment industry and the record label took extreme measures to protect them. Hence we have literally no news about their personal lives, what they're doing, or even pictures of them without their BM costumes. It's very rare to find a picture of them in everyday clothes. Sometimes they're not even recognizable. It was rumored that Yuimetal's doctor instructed her to cease performing immediately due to a health condition. What health condition we don't know. Many of The One have been worried about her, and still it's been 4 years and no news about her has been released. Japan really withholds the privacy stature, as it is the way it is in the culture. And we all respect that. For some of us, we just care about them so much, we become very protective of them. How can you not when they bring so much joy, fun, energy, and strength in their music and performances?
I saw a short clip of them once after a festival performance (it may have been their first sonisphere performance in the UK), as soon as they came off the stage, they held hands and were jumping up and down with happiness. It was so darn cute to be reminded they were still little girls. Sometimes when you watch a live performance, if you look closely, you can see little looks the girls give to each other. It's so cool to get an insight on how close their relationship is every since they were in Sakura Gakuin 10 years ago. I think that's why so many people who are starving for Babymetal material, they go and watch Sakura Gakuin to see Babymetal in its infancy, and to see the three girls perform in the original idol group BM was created from. Anything about Suzuka-chan, Yui-chan, or Moa-chan, people just can't get enough of them. I'm totally guilty of that.
Sorry to be long winded. Thanks again for the reaction, you're awesome.

BABYMETAL can evoke some feelings that you hardly ever get with other bands. I don't know if it's just the girls' ages, but when I see a performance and crowd response like this, I think I feel something like fatherly pride. These shows make apparent how much they have achieved at their early age and how much love and happiness they are spreading. And it's great to see their smiles as they are celebrating this.
I think the lyrics are autobiographical to some extent, describing BABYMETAL forging their own path through the musical landscape, against the resistance of traditional metalheads and Idol fans. But as it's often the case with their lyrics, most of us will have a personal story that they can also be applied to (sorry, missing the proper verb).

That was a classic performance, and a song that means a lot to the BABYMETAL members.
There may be a little confusion since this song was included on a re-release of the first, self-titled album, and as the opening track of 'Metal Resistance', the second album.

Great & thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。Su shouted some words at 10:10 meaning "Bring it (them) on!". Fans analyzed that the shout was thrown at people who had been ignoring, underrating, mocking, hating and even trying to discredit BABYMETAL. That shout may have been necessary in 2015 but not any longer. Now in 2021, in the grand finale of the final day (April 15) of 10 BABYMETAL Budokan shows, Su shouted the same words for the first time in several years ... smilingly. I witnessed it ... with tears.

      Hello and greetings from Germany!
That is very cool and thank you for commenting this!
Yes I think they don't need to say this today, but I think it's a personal thing for the members, remembering what they faced in the past and conquering it with their own charm and showing the world what they are all about.
I myself just happened to know them since last year and it was an eye opening experience at least for me.
Never would I have thought, that a band could get me in the feels as much as they did, and through them I was also lucky to discover X Japan, Lovebites, Dir en Grey and so on. The fans helped out a lot with that and I can honestly say that your country has one of the most amazing and diverse music markets there is! It's a once in a lifetime experience and we're all part of it.
There are surely some great bands around the world, but not everyone of those is easily accessible. But what I've seen from Japan in the last year remembered me of how much I love music and I wish for all the bands to have great success in the future!

@@herrbraun4875 Than your for your response. I am also a newbie in the fanbase. July 7, 2019 is the day I discovered BM when I came across BBC videos of Glastonbury. I was surprised at 3 girls singing in my native language and dancing in front of sea of people. Any name of the girls was unfamiliar to me but they were excellent performers. (I came to know thereafter they used to be so-called “idols”). I have been a Jazz and Funk fan for 45 years and playing trumpet and flugelhorn in an amateur band as hobby. Honestly, bands with young girls had not existed in my music life until the day of destiny two years ago.
Likewise, information provided by knowledgeable fans like Grington300 300, Rick Wagner, Taipan, Papa Xan, Martinmetal, automae, kmudmetal and etc. have helped me understand what BM is. In addition, videos uploaded by professor Hartley and CrypticMisery have educated me. I want to be one of information providers like them as a fan living in Tokyo and witnessed 9 shows out of 10 BABYMETAL Budokan.

Thank you for your response as well!
And I always like to hear just how other people discovered BABYMETAL!
I got to know them last year through a cover of another Japanese band called "Hagane". The cover was Gimme Chocolate and I was totally surprised about the crazyness but also of the catchy chorus and of course the heavy metal. Made me want to check out the original and Megitsune, Karate, Headbanger and Rondo of Nightmare sealed it for me, that I really was enjoying this new kind of music to me!
Then I also watched some reactions to BABYMETAL and was really pleasantly surprised about the knowledge all of the fans provided, I think everyone you mentioned also gave me a little more information about them and of course the channels you mentioned above and I'll be forever thankful for their input!
I think it's very cool that you can play trumpet and and the Flügelhorn as it is called here in Germany.
In the link above is a video from an orchestra which has those instruments in it and I love the melody. Maybe you'll enjoy it as well.
Also on another note: I heard that there are some really got bands in Japan who play funk and jazz.
Do you have any suggestions for me?
I always wanted to listen to that as well, but don't know where to start.
Also I agree, that we should pass our knowledge on to others who are new and don't know so much yet.
It's like a small family where everyone who has a decent amount of respect and is looking for a good time can join and I think everyone in BABYMETAL and the team can be proud of achieving such a fanbase, even with one or two bad apples here and there( just heard from some people that some fans can be a little too demanding), but that is not their fault for all the good times they bring to people like us.
Have a very nice day and if you have suggestions for me I would be glad to check them out! 🤘🦊🤘

@@herrbraun4875 Yeah! the German word "flugel" means "wing". The "Unchained Melody" was awesome, thank you. And I was pleased to see the drummer using "Pearl" drum set made in Japan.
One of the best Japanese jazz & funk bands is "Kari Band" which was founded by Mikio (rip), BOH and Yuya Maeta, who was a former drummer of Kami Band. (FYI, "Kami" means god while "Kari" means temporary or provisional.) You can find their recent music video with keywords "kari band u/yeah!!" Also I'm happy that you liked Unchained Melody in this version, it just sounded really beautiful to me. And yes, Japanese instruments are quite popular in the world, I own a keyboard from Yamaha myself and couldn't be happier with it!

You definitely got the genre correct, being a power metal, arena rock style. The guitar parts were written by the guitarists from the band Dragonforce, who are big supporters of BABYMETAL, and even snuck them into a festival once many years ago. The promoter didn't think BABYMETAL would fit into that rock festival, so Dragonforce snuck them in and gave them some of their stage time. Needless to say, BABYMETAL was invited back the following year once he saw the response they got.

When the 2 little bit older girls in that group talked about being nervous and to trying their best Su said before the show "I'll do my best to give the fans a good performance" and afterwards she said "we did it with a good feeling and I'm happy for that". Hello and greetings from Germany!
Very good reaction and don't be ashamed of some tears, it just happens from time to time also to me.
They have a very unique power in their songs, especially their live performances which I can't put into some right words. I have bought the first Budokan DVD last summer and it had Akatsuki followed by No Rain No Rainbow and her clear voice just brought out some tears and I'm a dude.
Can't explain it, but I think they just make you appreciate music again, with all of the feelings, very nice melodies and performances that really get you invested.
But there was an even bigger one for me with the DVD of their live performances from Brixton in England in 2014.
Before the finale they played one of their epic intros to a song stating, that we humans have been controlled by technology and are constantly staring down on a little monitor to watch videos or receiving text messages etc.
Further they asked if the audience is there and not on a screen and if they are here, they should also know that BABYMETAL is here!
So no need to look down on something, but rather look up or straight ahead and witness what humans can do with your own eyes.
I thought that to be very true and also a bit blurry as I could not see the screen of my TV anymore, because they got me in my soul and what I believe in my heart. If you can get your hands on a DVD or Blu Ray then I can only recommend it to you, since they also have those epic intros and interludes.
On another subject: You may have heard of the band X Japan, since BABYMETAL did many tributes to them especially in their early days.
That is one band that I've come to love as well since I found them through the comments from BABYMETAL fans and I enjoy them immensely and I think that you would, too.
If you're interested, I can send you some links of my favorites of X Japan and I leave BABYMETAL to the other great fans here!
X Japan has also a crazy history and some very cool and some very emotional songs as well, it's a very good mix.
Hope you're having a nice day and put your Kitsune up! 🤘🦊🤘🎌

This show was epic and this was the closing encore of a 95 minutes concert, all with this level of energy which is totally crazy.
I'm a long time power metal fan but this is not really on my top favorites (okay, it's close hehe...). It's great but my particular "triple A" ("Arkadia", "Amore" and "Akatsuki") are out of scale. The performance is just perfect. I actually wrote down a list of several things I like about this particular performance of "RoR" including Su's bringing back the crowd on tempo or that amazing extended outro. I enjoyed your reaction to the extent I found myself yelling "BABYMETAL!!!" to my screen during the outro... sometimes it just happens :)

Nice reaction. This version is like the generic Official Video version. Should of done the version at Tokyo Dome Red Night that's on the same reactor resource channel. That night they were on a huge stage that had two levels on top with a huge gong and 3 walks that went out into the crowd in the shape of 3 coffins ⚰ also the Kami band goes out on them during the chant and you can hear Mikio using harmonics to chant with the crowd.

I'm amazed that it's taken you this long to get to ROR...It was the song that sold me on BM. I was initially interested by Megitsune way back in 2014 and then saw ROR at Saitama in 2015 and became a fan because I ended the song an emotional wreck. They take you from one pinnacle to another and just keep on going. But for me the real hero of this song is the drummer, Hideki Aoyama, I think this song averages over 200 BPM...OMFG.
The song has a strong Dragonforce vibe because Li and Totman worked on it and play it on the album, but I like this live Kami Band version more. The concert has a great stage set up and the famous Yui leap over Moa during IDZ as well as this definitive performance. "Road of Resistance" is about fighting and resisting even if you can't see the way ahead; that's a common theme for Babymetal songs.
At the end of the crowd "wows" I love the combination of the insanely fast guitar riff and the dance sequence that ends with the girls standing strongly and outlined by the lights, that's where I really get the chills. It shows how well the Babymetal team works to bring together music, singing, dancing and stage and lighting design.

_Resistance! Resistance! Stand up an shout! Justice Forever_
Welcome back beautiful megitsune, you look more bright and shining :)
Imagine being a 11 and 12 yearls old and being criticized for not being "metal" enough for elitish metalheads and after 4 years and a full album with full of hits they released this in 2015 in response to all of those people, an epic blaster power metal anthem and the opening for their next album as well as their chapter "Metal Resistance", you can also hear SuMetal shouting "KAKATTE KOI YO!" which means "Bring it on, guys!" encouraging the audience to show all the world what they made of, althought this shout out was made several times even till recently shows, so is not exclusive to this performance is more like a victory cry \m/
This power-metal song, guitar arrangement composed by Herman Li and Sam Totman from DragonForce is one of the strongest Babymetal weapon along with Karate from the 2nd album, it shows the true power of Babymetal in their own country, but if you want to see another blaster show of true power even after, sadly, Yui left you need to watch Headbanger! Legend Metal Galaxy Day 2, and get ready to dogeza hedoban to our queen and princess

This song is BABYMETAL's anthem. Since they become independent from Sakura Gakuin, BABYMETAL has called their music working Metal Resistance. Some haters call it a gimmick, but I don't care. their achievements are wonderful in essence. On the other hand, It is important how to show them to fans as professional. It ’s a matter of course.

Su-Metal was 10 when she performed with Karen Girls at the SSA (SAITAMA SUPER ARENA). The Arena that night holds about 20000 Babymetal fans but when you see the centrepiece Island and the two curve bridge, it can hold up to 30000 or even up to 40000 depends on the configuration of Babymetal concert for each tour they performed. This song is co-written by Dragonforce with Herman Li and Sam Totman plays the guitar 🎸 solos, but Kami Band live show is brutal and tight. This is a classic Power Metal genre or speed metal as some might refer to. Bands like Dragonforce, Helloween and even Sabaton do power metal genre. Arkadia from Metal Galaxy Album is the successor to Road Of Resistance. At 17 Su-Metal alongside Yuimetal and Moametal who is 15 at that time, gave a perfect 👌 performance on how live show should be. This performance alone cemented my love ❤️ and appreciation for Babymetal. Kitsune Up 🦊🦊🦊😍💕🌸🤘🇯🇵🇸🇬.

You probably should also watch the official "The One", the song for their fans (called "the one"), I like this version for a number of reason, bur the version on the reactor resource channel is the version for Tokyo Dome and is probably the most epic version (best viewed in the very dark room is order to see the effects).

So few reactors really look at the lyrics, so they miss out on how many positive messages they have in their songs... IDZ about Antibullying, Megitsune Girl Power Anthem, The whole Trilogy of Light about getting over loss.... If you believe in what your doing, go on even without a path.... Very inspirational. Nice to have you back in the foxhole. If you ever get around to it, the Babymetal Reactor Resource channels has a series of videos called the Babymetal Chronicles, basically Su and Moa talked about their feelings during their concerts and about each other. And Su said that hearing the stadium sing along with them in this concert, even without music, was a boost of confidence for them as they went on their world tours. 🤘🦊🤘

I normally do not like power metal at all. The vocals especially. The way the songs are delivered vocally is too cheesy, but I suppose that is partly the point? Anyway, although I don't like the genre, through the magic that is Babymetal, they make everything sound incredible. I can't explain exactly why its better. Maybe its just about having that emotional connection so it comes off more believable and therefore less cheesy.
