I have to admit that I've never really been into Country music. But......!! That is a pretty damn fine song. To quote Tommy Vance, 'that is an absolutely superb production'.

Blackberry Smoke is a fantastic southern country rock band. Sunrise in Texas, One Horse Town and Ain’t Much Left of Me. Charlie Starr has a fantastic voice and can sure play guitar. If you like Lynyrd Skynyrd you will probably like these guys.

I have never heard that song. But I absolutely love it. It’s so good. If this one sounds that good. You should check out Blake Shelton’s God’s Country. It’s got that Country Rock feel as well. Just like this one. I loved this. This was great.

I've only just discovered your channel and it's a lot of fun. Scanning through the videos you've made, I don't see any mention of 'Yes' - have you not discovered them yet? They formed in 1969, and were going (through many line-up changes, but the same two or three core members) until just a few years ago. It would be difficult to suggest a track as an introduction - my favourites are Tales from Topographic Oceans, which is four tracks each over 20 mins long , ranging to Union which has some magnificent tracks. Perhaps a reasonably short and joyous introduction would be from one of their most joyous albums, Drama, and I would suggest Tempus Fugit (latin for time flies). Also, as you have a classical background (much the same as me in some ways), does this mean you understand something of the mechanics of music; chord relationships, scale types, modulations that kind of thing? If you do, I'd like to see more analysis from this point of view, as well as the gut reactions! Meanwhile, back to Tempus Fugit:

Your song request link didn't work for me, so I'll do it here. One early country-rock guy, who seemed to get a lot of ink, was Gram Parsons. You can find some stuff under that name, and some under Flying Burrito Brothers. But my reaction recommendation is for a song by Poco which was written about Gram Parsons., called Crazy Eyes. Check it out for a spectacular glimpse into the early days of the genre.

Mike dalzell I respectfully disagree. To introduce Reactors new to Country through Home Free is a hard no for me because, it takes away Reactors hearing the original songs. Just my POV on groups that cover songs vs. original records for this type of channel(s)

I love this guys, and I love the things they like about metal: a great live sound, pure enjoyment of the live presentations, connection with the audience, great musicianship and entertainment value, melody above all, etc. That's why I love Iron Maiden, and Judas Priest, but this guys are still missing one of the GREAT live bands on this world as of this day in age. With all the mentioned attributes pumped to the limit.. Kel, Rich, you must react to Steel Panther live... you'll love it so much you'll end going to their concerts and loving them forever... We wanted to give it a try. Pointing becomes hard without the correct camera setting and guitars end up being played backwards. However, we like other way better. 🌪
