Reminiscing my maths gcse now.... I was part of the year where there was the impossible final question that teachers nationally could not even solve!!!

this would’ve been the exact paper I would’ve sat in 2020 if our GCSEs hadn’t been cancelled due to lockdown. definitely couldn’t answer any of these now haha!! so relaxing once again 🫶
this is so good, i even found it beneficial toward my revision!! im pretty sure this year - in england at least, may be different in scotland - we're only sitting 2 maths papers, a calc and a non-calc
I recently did my gcse and got an 8 and I used to fall asleep listening to these videos, before I was scraping a 7 I swear I got an 8 by listening to these videos constantly can you do an edexcel paper soon too I think it's a more common maths exam board in England
i watched this on the night before my first gcse maths paper, i ended up getting a 3 nearly 4 in maths when my predicted grade was 1 (yes its not the best but its still alot better then a 1)
You should do the 2023 Nat5 Calculator Maths paper! I remember a lot of people saying that it was quite a tough one for a lot of kids sitting it. So much so, that there was even a petition of kids saying that they wanted to sit another one!
For question 21, when you did 47/3 you wrote that it would come out as 15.8 which where it would come out to 15 2/3, which 2/3 equals .66 repeating, so it would come out as 15. 66 repeating. Great Video tho very relaxing😴
Not doing my GCSEs just yet (infact i just picked my options) but man question 3 i gotta say you explained that really well. I was never taught a lot of this since ive been in SEN schools since yr1 (special needs) and the teachers dont really have the flexibility to cater to each student so the work i got handed was the level of whoever was the least smart which is already bad but i even had people 3 years younger than me in my class so im definitely a bit behind so thanks you've already helped 😂 and you asmr is good
I wish you all the best, you have more potential than you might think. You’re probably two years away from the exams at this point and by three time they roll around, you’ll be working like a machine. People like you are constantly underestimated, you can do this.
How do you get the past paper onto the ipad and able to edit it as i have an ipad air and pencil and i dont know how and want to do past papers on my ipad
How does bro find maths fun, I was stressing trying to remember the formula for finding the square cube root of the trapezoid cross sectional area of the cylindrical 76.3 sided star
I was the very first year to sit GCSE’s. It was all very odd. I had been taught how to pass the old exam system then they changed it 2 years before I left school.
Can you by any chance consider doing an edexcel paper at some point? I'm sitting edexcel in two months. Thanks and I'd love to see paper two at some point! (they fit your style better as they are more problem solving then knowledge)
Are you feeling confident with it? They’re making a habit of putting an AWFUL geometry problem as the final question of the exam every year, they’ve done it twice in a row now, so make sure you’re comfortable with that. I sat Edexcel in 2022 and we had this weird three interlocking circles problem and you had to show that a shaded area was equal to something.
@@Harvey1211 Yeah i have done the exact question you're referencing. It's tragic that we aren't getting lots of proofs or anything more manageable anymore. My two worst areas are ratio + and weird geometry questions we get thrown. Im predicted a 9 and i have been getting like 75-80/80 for the most part so I am pretty confident. I think edexcel might be stepping up their game though because I thought the june 23 papers were alright. Gl with A levels if your doing them.
@@gabriql thanks for the reply, I’m absolutely certain you’ll get that 9. If I got a 9, you’ll definitely get one lol. My prediction is that you’ll get an easier paper than 2023 because a lot of people were ‘robbed’ of their good grades and there was a public outcry, but the boundaries probably won’t change. I’ll be doing my A Levels in Maths and Further Maths soon. I’ve also got to do some special maths tests called STEP tests. Would you say maths is your strongest attribute?
@@Harvey1211 Yeah I am doing the exam two years early + doing independent study for it so I just get randomly nervous or realise I haven't seen / taught myself something before. It's strange because I should be more confident then most people sitting in y11. I'd say maths is my strongest attribute yeah. I have also been setting my goal towards sitting step in y13 bec I want to go to cambridge (ideally). First paper is in a month, gl for your step.
As 9 year old how did i figure what septillion is it is 1,000 to the power of eight aka septillion how do i know this? I know dark matter so that a difference but doesn't matter about septillion is just very smart laught out loud😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 lol
It’s always wild to me seeing so many people struggle with gces, I used to always think they were the equivalent of what I’m doing rn, Scottish highers, but when I found out they were the equivalent of national 5s, (the year before) I was shocked because they are incredibly easy, especially compare to higher. How does the whole nation seem to struggle😭
I'm not as familiar with Scottish highers but most people don't realise AQA is the easier and less common exam board than Edexcel, so if you're just looking at AQA you aren't getting an accurate picture of the Maths GSCE most people do. Its also mandatory, not sure if thats the case for Scottish highers.
Quick correction in Question 26a: The fraction should multiply to give (14√ 7) / 7 thus simplifying to 2√ 7 as the final answer!
Reminiscing my maths gcse now.... I was part of the year where there was the impossible final question that teachers nationally could not even solve!!!
This always happens! Oh no 😂
Do you mean the triangle one? I had that too if that's what you mean! Lol!
2022 xD me too
omg lol same with me 2023!! question 16
@@evawhxbro idk how i passed those
Your whispering never disappointed me!
Just did my GCSE maths mock, watched the night before and I genuinely think it did something to my mind cause I did super well. thank you!
I got my maths mocks the 18th and 19th so hopefully it does the same for me

Another way you could do question one is dividing the numerator by its denominator and just find out which one gives you 4.75
Would definitely love to see you complete paper 2!😊

Great video!! You should try doing the Irish leaving cert higher math exam. I would like to see that.
as a maths nerd it took me about a minute to figure out most questions 😭 super relaxing tho
Could you do an edexcel one? , they are much harder in my opinion
New fave asmrtist !!!!
Very nice video. You're a genius
Actually got my final mat exam in today's morning (it's 00:33), watching this so I can sleep good.
Will you be able to do a foundation paper pls for all those who don’t do higher papers
You should do a Australian Nsw Ext 2 Hsc paper lol. Some of the hardest tests out there
ahh so this is the paper i would’ve sat if it wasn’t for lockdown
Haha same that’s mad to think about
I was the first year who did their gcses post lockdown and we were praying so hard for another lockdown 😭😭

Really?! Did not know that (and I’m taking them this year!)
I know we have an equation sheet again this year
I'm glad it was able to help you! Thanks so much for watching and best of luck in your future studies
@@bloom6568 It will depend on the exam board as well, I've got AQA and I'm prettt sure it's just two
Lucky I got to sit 3 exams and it's AQA
I’ve got edexel and it’s all 3 for me
Please, make asmr videos on basic math topics such as algebra, sets, probability etc....
That sounds like a significant event! How did it go? If you have any questions or need assistance with any of the material, feel free to ask.
Could u do a foundation paper please, thx sm

DIDO!! HOW DID YOU FAIL AT DIVIDING BY 3 TWICE😭😭 OH, THE PAIN THAT QUESTION 21 HAS BROUGHT ME ON THIS DAY!!
I know I'm so sorry... LOL got there in the end!
An easier way to see exercise 3 would be to choose which answer has a number of zeros multiple of 2 and 3, which in this case it's 6 (a million) :)

Funnily enough I was meant to do this exact paper in 2020 but locked stopped me, interesting to see what I missed?
Watching this before my mock. Lol
Next, try solving the Japanese university entrance exam; the JSSO should have an English version of the past exam questions available.

Will take a look into it!
Its much harder than an IGCSE one dont you think so?
can you please do edexcel maths non calculator foundation pleasee

Is this really what exam papers look like in England
Yep!
That's a real maths exam in England. This is AQA, but Edexcel is the most common exam board for maths
