Welcome Ben to the channel! You'll be seeing more of his face in the future :) Meanwhile I'm currently recovering from a broken ankle, broke it while knocking up haha
Aw, sorry to hear that. Get well soon. Only feedback: yes the coach wants to relay information whilst it's still fresh but if they both wait a while to get their breath back it works as a more effective video. Thanks for the content
Amazing video n truly great content n shows us the different in grasping power among the levels n the coach is soo Amazing I wish I had him as my coach would certainly make it to nationals in 2 years
Really really great video. Thanks for putting this together to you and all involved. Some really good points made and I liked the progressive aspect to the coaching. Also, lovely audio quality. 🙂
This video is so practical and down to earth. Ben, you clearly know your onions! Thank you for creating this. Unfortunately, I do not seem to be able to access the footwork pdf resource.
Cool video! Nice that you incorporate several different levels of playing. I am curious why you didn't correct the small recovery step after the lunch towards the dropshot in the elite player's footwork. Is it because you think it's correct? Did you notice it? In my opinion it mess up the flow and the rithm of the footwork. That's why it looks sometimes a bit panicky and fast.
even in professional match I see that they often lunge with their dominant foot, especially for fast shuttles. why do you say to lunge with left when it goes to backhand? Even the advanced player lunges with right 7:05
if the shuttle is close enough you can lunge with your non dominant leg, but once it starts getting far from your body you have to use your dominant leg to cover the distance
He was too tall for his position, so if he did lunge across with his dominant leg then he wouldn’t have enough space for his racquet. With the elite player the difference was his footwork was way more efficient and he was much lower.
The intermediate player has incorrect racket movement. Too much racket flipping on forehand side. Incorrect grip on backhand side (hes just flailing his wrist for his "backhand" grip). He's also standing way too high and legs are way too close together before the shot. Great insight on advanced and elite and amazing quality content.
@@BiggestOfAllYoshi Yeah i was being sarcastic. If you are a beginner at playing badminton after 2 years, you were never really trying to put the effort to improve in the first place
Thats cause he's quite a tall player, so he has no problem reaching far shuttles. Turning the feet usually helps people for going that bit of extra "reach".
There no way you are better than the 3rd or 4th guy maybe the first and possibly the second but no chance you’re beating 10+ years of county and training

Awesome Video. Helps me a lot as a player as well as a coach!
Wishing you a swift recovery, Jon! Love your channel. It made me appreciate and understand playing badminton more than ever.
Be sure to strengthen your ankle
We all wish you a Swift recovery

Yay another swift video! Welcome Ben! We are excited to see more of you and Jonathan :)
The coach was perceptive. Really pushed that elite player! Please make these videos for all badminton shots thanks!
Any chance that Ben could do one of these videos in the same format, but for level doubles please? 🤔
okay this is one of the best tutorials i've seen . a coach that adjusts to the level of the players not the other way around .
What great video! People can reflect theirselfs in one of these players, good comparison. I hope to see more from Ben :D
Excited to see a new video on Swift.
Man.. Im enjoying all these great quality content..

Really really great video. Thanks for putting this together to you and all involved.

Also, lovely audio quality. 🙂
Great video! Nice idea having 4 different levels on one technique...I give 2 thumbs up as well 👍👍🏸😀
Good video, very educational
Where's your flintlock rifle Ben?
No one is talking about all those shuttlecocks all over the floor? And he's stepping on some of it!
This video is so practical and down to earth. Ben, you clearly know your onions! Thank you for creating this.
Unfortunately, I do not seem to be able to access the footwork pdf resource.
Nice video 👍👍
We want more Ben!
My boy Josh Cruz sick player.
thanks mate
Oooo bennnu beckkmann.. how's red hair shanks doing?
Very well done. I would love to see the same concept on smash defense for doubles.
Nice video really helps nice to see u post agn love
It would be great to see Ben teach overhead technique, particularly with regards to the smash.
Amazing coaching!!!! Thanks 👨 man thanks 🙏 again.
A. MA. ZING! Great video, excellent tips. And the idea accross 4 different levels is simply genius :)

Some people (me included) are taught to do a small jitter step when playing netshots, somwthing to do with being able to change directions easily.
Welcome back. :)
Thanks for the video bro
Can u make more videos like this
Nice content bro ✌️
Just wondering how many Shuttles are strewn over the floor.
Like to see coaching for casual doublesplayer

Is Ben using Astrox88? I hope someone can give me a spare racket. 😇
Its better to buy than to wish someone giving you their spare racketd and declare it as yours.
this video is sooo good
When u realise Andrew has coached you before at badminton camps and u randomly find him on a video. Mad 🤯
So mad its almost imposible.
Same with Jonathan
Any chance you can help me on my football footwork

“I’m a beginner” oh me. “I have played for two years” AYO WTF DOES THAT MAKE ME
i didnt know luka doncic played badminton
Not even close lol
I actually think we look quite similar 😅
Beginner player looked slightly better than intermediate ^^
i disagree; maybe it had to do with the fact that he is a returning player, or that ben was feeding shuttles faster to him.
What no she wasn’t wtf
@@wizardsyndicate5505 Are you Stephen?
I thought this was in Barnt Green, for a sec 🙈.
Is steph bens Brother ?! Striking resemblance
Then there's my lanky bastard of a friend who just needs to pivot about his left foot to cover the entire court
People always compliment me on my footwork.
But I’ve broken my ankles from walking on to the court so...
So you mean people who plays for 2 yrs are beginners 😂🤣
They probably played casually. But who knows. I've been playing Badminton for 6 years. Oh and CASUALLY too :D
Same here, just stopped for a year
Depends on how much you play in those two years. Based on what she has shown here, I think "beginner" is a good description
Ototo Benn Beckman.
you can kind of tell how good they are by their clears lol
They're a little short but the height is great
Im a rokie i played for 8 month but my friend who has trained for 3 years lose to me alot🤣🤣
Rly 2 years. The players should be so much better.
for some reason I thought the beginner was best
so epicurious
I think her " the beginner" is week training skills level
beginner, playing for 2 years?? Is this sport like blowing glass (years and years of training)¿??
I am 14 and playing for like 6 months now and already I am way, way better than her
@@BiggestOfAllYoshi Yeah i was being sarcastic. If you are a beginner at playing badminton after 2 years, you were never really trying to put the effort to improve in the first place
@@TileBitan oh ok. Also didnt expect you to reply After 3 years
I want you to teach me in real life
Ranked 196 in the UK😂 that's so shit
Elite Player dont turn feet out either ;p

@@FatPandaCries Ah nice! Thanks for the Info :)!
Brown person very good also very handsome
Josh Da Cruz ffs 😂😂
Why is the coach dressed like anything but a sportsman?
Because he is faty
agreed
He was intermediate player still so bad at the game
Body so stiff🤣
not bragging but i play better than these guys i started when i was 8 years old and now am 11 and i barely play
There no way you are better than the 3rd or 4th guy maybe the first and possibly the second but no chance you’re beating 10+ years of county and training
