- This is it. It's time for our new survival mini series! Part 1 of 4...
We start with an extreme motorbike drive on our journey deep into the jungle where we will forage, hunt, fish, camp and survive with the Hmong tribal people in Laos, for the next 4 days and nights, living completely off the land in the Southeast Asian rainforest.

Being an adventure (particularly jungle) type myself, just love this video! Awesome 1st video! Reminds me of Man vs Wild (with Bear Grylls). Usually 20 mins video is long for me but this one felt like was just 5 mins duration bc so fun to watch - wish it was 30 mins instead LOL. Btw, the “sashimi” w/ herbs that you had is a Lao dish equivalent to Larb. Larb can be made with any meat (beef, pork, fish, chicken) and Lao people sometimes like their Larb raw, particularly for beef and fish. Can’t wait to see the 2nd video!

I think this is an excellent ideas because if you enjoy a life of adventure and living with nature as much as possible, then this is for you. It's a bit like eco-tourism but without any modern comfort. If you are well prepared then you can actually enjoy it. 👌👌👌👌💗

Article 336 of the Lao Penal Code: "Any person using toxic substances, explosives, chemicals, electric current or banned fishing means and gears to exploit aquatic products or destroy aquatic resources, causing serious consequences damages, shall be punished by six months to three years of imprisonment or re-education without deprivation of liberty and shall be fined not exceeding from 10.000.000 Kip to 50,000,000 Kip" This video documents unsustainable and illegal exploitation of Lao natural resources.
The way they fishing is not good, using electricity to chock the fish will kill all fishes' eggs, babies fishes...
Not true, this doesn't even kill the fish, only stuns them so if not picked they recover and swim away unlike fishing with a hook.

Those dudes do not skimp on the seasoning!! Even though I'm vegetarian I was thinking those flavour combos sounded really nice - will definitely have to try and get my hands on some tofu larb when I finally manage to make it to Laos myself. This adventure is extremely cool but did not envy you that bum-bruising motorbike ride on the dirt road!

You're in a tropical city, you shouldn't eat raw food. especially freshwater animals These species have a lot of parasites. Or if you can't avoid it, you should also go for a check-up. with good hope
