Glad you're staying healthy & safe. We still be watching your videos, no matter how simple it is. Your simplicity & humbleness make you more adorable couple.
You guys are so lucky to be walking by the beach with the relaxing sound of the waves and the cool breeze of the wind. And no long stressful line ups in the grocery. You are in the safest place in the world. Stay where you are.

Try cooking the traditional Filipino recipe, Kare-kare. It's a peanut-based oxtail stew but you can always use fish or any sea foods and enjoy the dish.
The reason why I like your vlog because of the rawness and how both of you share your journey to us. I must say, your a good story teller. Each vlog sort like, I'm watching a real life drama movie. Your vlog is simple but truthful. It's real and sincere. No special effects needed nor animation or tiktok clips to be entertained. A good content creator is not about having the best video editor or graphic creator nor having the most expensive camera. But instead, Creating content of how to touch the lives of every followers that they have. How can I inspire them or save them from their sorrow and despair and how can i promote positivity towards them and that what I saw in your vlog. "DESPITE THE WORLD SHOWING YOU THE WORST, YOU SHOULD OFTEN SEEK THE POSITIVE SIDE AND START FROM THERE MOVING FORWARD" IT JUST CAME OUT TO MY MIND WATCHING YOUR VLOG.......... NEVER SKIP ADS. NEVER SKIP ADS. NEVER SKIP ADS.
I wish you stay here forever, I love to stay you both in the Philippines at your home base, I like you because some quality I admired one is very simple many people can love that show your reality of life no any decoration in your highlights, soft-spoken so cute, a humbleness is there not to much exaggerated just normal attitude I see from you, I am so happy your youtube heading in 100k sub hopefully we reach there, I will never stop supporting you until heading into the top and get the Silver Award. So deserving and I love you both even you didn't reply to me. I got tears went I say this to you, Chris and Carol.

I like watching you walking outside. The sea, the roads and stores outside reminds me of the days when everything is normal. Your simple daily routine makes you guys relatable. Looking forward for more videos.

I would prefer to get stuck in El Nido rather than in the country I am stuck in. 🤦🏽♀️ You can still roam an get relax with sea breeze at the sea shore... Nice... There might be some people who misses the beach so much but you live there peacefully, dang! I'm jealous
yes i'd rather live in this kind of place which is near the sea and forest which you can get local foods easily, i dont care if i dont have a wifi or internet, this place is peaceful.
Nice to see that you're settling in. Lentils aren't grown here in the Phils, but chickpeas are. They're available in some supermarkets - look for the "Ram" brand in cans or sachets. They're also in markets - look for "garbanzos". Ram brand also has green peas. As for the mungbeans (munggo), you can cook them similar to lentils but it's best to soak them overnight (to avoid long cooking time). Saute some onions & garlic, then add in the munggo & water. It will be similar to lentil soup. When the seeds have softened a bit, you can crush them using the spatula to make the soup thicker. Re: your workout, it was interesting to see how you keep fit. General quarantine still needs masks, social distancing & temperature checks. Stay safe & fit! We're all in this together. Greetings from locked down Luzon! :-)
It’s always nice hearing and listening to you, it might be hard for you both be there without friends and family, but believe me it’s a once in a life time experience please enjoy life. I am in NYC and believe me it’s very difficult.
Loved your latest segment! You two are making the best of your situation and I always look forward to your videos! I'm a new fan of yours, and look forward to every video you two put out:) I don't skip ads in hopes of supporting you both:) keep safe and I'll be on the look out for your next video!
I am a Filipino, and this vlog made me realize that a very simple living in a serene place like El Nido, is much much better than living in the glams of urban area.
You can still vlog your day to day. it might not seem much but it's interesting. It's like a quarantine diary. And actually the beauty of El Nido keeps us entertained. Us being in the city, no view just the streets with not much cars around. Stay healthy and safe. And don't think quarantine, enjoy the forced rest and relax in that beautiful place. Gcq would be better with more establishments being open. I think you can go out but still with mask and social distancing.
We stayed in Hadefe cottages during our stay in El Nido. Such a beautiful place with amazing view. Every we pass by the cemetery. Definitely going back to El Nido once this is over.
You'll find chickpeas and lentils in the dry market. Maybe not in the kind of market you have in El nido but it's common in commercial grocery. We call chickpeas garbanzos i forgot about the lentils.
Hi,I’ve been watching some of your videos,It is really interesting to watch while you are on lockdown.I relate much because me and my partner got lockdown also for about six weeks until I finally got my flight back to UK.You are both doing great and you won’t regret staying in Philippines, especially cooking Filipino dishes. You are in safe place I would say,Filipinos hospitality...and don’t hesitate to ask help whatever you need to know.Stay Safe guys...Im jealous coz Im back to work in UK and I miss my partner and Philippines who stayed and live there.🥰
Chris/Carol, I had just subbed. I appreciate you both sharing your travel experience, especially your southeast asia travel blogs. Chick peas is actually common and popular in the Philippines. It goes by its popular name garbanzo beans. It is a common ingredient in most popular Filipino dishes. Thanks for sharing!
Chickpeas are locally known as garbanzos. You can ask the sales person next time. Or look for it at the local market. It is sometimes displayed in pails... not sure about lentils though. But there are a variety of beans available.
Under general quarantine, restaurants will be opened but only on a take out basis, public transportation will be available but on much reduced capacity to maintain social distancing (Dept of Transportation still yo come up with guidelines), fishing will resumed but on reduced capacity, malls shall be opened but existing protocols shall be strictly observed.
Its been a family activity for us to watch your vlogs. We always wait for your new uploads.. We're Filipinos here in US and now my kids are now so interested in the Philippines.
Cook simple food but delicious and very rich of vitamins. Like Squash, malungay/moringa leaves, tomato and union and shrimp. Just boild and add salt for taste in
Life in the Philippines is very pleasant. All you need is a small house, some air con and native food. Very relaxed! From now on it's going to get very hot and humid as it builds up to the monsoon. Hopefully by mid May it will start raining.
Lovin the simplicity and humbleness. I would love to meet you guys and show what the Philippines has to offer in terms of beautiful destinations, culture and food!
Hey guys, keep the mood up!!! Man you are so lucky to get stuck in that paradise with that magnifique lady! Even if it's tough mentally, yet enjoy the life, you're much better over there than I in Canada! Be safe!
Clever the way you toast those bread. Another clever way if you're going to make calamansi juice, slice only the tip such that only squeeze one part of it and the other part (the tiny slice will not have juice). That will just save you time squeezing (you squeeze once per fruit instead of twice). We do the same here. I exercise with RUclips fitness. Suggestion is you do reaction on jolibee commercials (Vow, Perfect Pairs etc) or singers like Amon Morisette (Never Enough etc) or Marcelito Pomoy or (Prayer) etc.. we all might as well enjoy.. There's a reason why we need to do this..
As per my mom, only high risk places like Manila, nearby city, Davao, Cebu and any places that have COVID case will be in lockdown still, the rest will slowly back to normal but need to wear mask and practise social distancing.
Hello Chris & Carol You both make just a wonderful couple, your cute smile Carol, you seem so placid and both seem so nice, so humble and accommodating reaching out to the people wherever you travel.. I have watched all your videos and simply love them and recommending your videos to others in the travel industry and others too. I love travel having worked for Emirates and travelled extensively, my son and I love Rio. Living in Melbourne Australia but hail from Goa, we visit each year and believe me, you have seen more of Goa or you have shown me more of Goa, Palolem and Velsoa is a must next time for us. I must visit Udaipur and Rajasthan and do the sleep over in the desert. Your parents seem so nice too Chris, brought back memories of Portugal as i have an aunt and uncle in Amadora Lisboa.Take care you gorgous couple and stay safe. Tried making the omlet with tomato this morning and will try the fish receipe too with soya sauce and vinegar. Hope you make it to Melbourne sometime, we can catch up. Best wishes from us the Braganza family
Lentils may be available in bigger supermarkets like SM and online. Not sure if they're grown in Palawan but in Luzon where they use them in cooking. Kadios (pigeon peas) is cooked with pork hocks, similar to feijoada, there's the red beans (which they sweeten to add to halo halo), garbanzos (chic peas, used in a number of Pinoy dishes), broad beans (fava?), lima beans are grown in different regions. The only problem is they will have different local names, e.g. garbanzos (chick peas), patani for lima or kidney beans, etc. People in Palawan may not even know some of these legumes and beans, nor maybe seen them. Btw., the El Nido bakery makes good coco buns (usually available in the afternoon), my vegan friend from Toronto swears by them. As for the future, you might want to look up an article on GMA, International Tourism may not happen this year according to the Sec of Tourism. It might give idea when to plan your return to wherever. Once you leave the PH, ther won't be coming back not for near future. I think same for a number of countries. So if you find a safe haven to fly to (e.g. Portugal), you'll just have to stay there for an extended period of time. I wouldn't fly to Brazil now, I'm sure you know why.
The way you explained your situation believe me!! You are making the best decision. Please keep using the mask ang boil some ginger n pour some in your cup with a tea bag... do this every day at least three times a day🤗stay safe
hi chris&carol a very Filipino breakfast, never mind the spider is unharm and normal inside a province house, congrats for 61k subs. stay safe guys😃😃😃😃
I'd agree, the number of cases doesnt warrant a lockdown. Closing the borders is good, but surely no need to lockdown internally. Having said that I expect the Govt there has weighed up the pros and cons and decided to take the action they have.
@@jonnyrocket3659 Ah no, its a world government running things and they locked down the world. Google ''thecrowhouse'' you tube channel to find out what is REALLY going on.
Nah. They say prevention is better than cure. If they totally lift the lockdown people will be coming all over since its a safe haven but it will also increase the chances that some infected peps might get over there and spread some virus. El Nido is a full tourist destination and it lacks healthcare system because they only focus on tourism when the virus somewhat get over there they are doomed.
You are both blessed because your in a very beautiful place... just enjoy each others company, i’ ve been waiting for your next cooking vlog😊, stay Safe.
You can actually buy several types of uncooked beans in the grocer because it's much cheaper, like red kidney beans, white beans, lentils, chickpeas, etc2.. but it will take a while to cook those, so I think it's better to just buy the canned ones but of course it's much expensive compare on the uncooked ones
Thanks for showing us El nido I feel like I already went there too. Omg my brother works there at Glow. Awesome video guys as always. Now I’m one of your follower. 👍👍😆
Whats nice to you sir is that your aware of the situation and thats good to hear. Your updated with the current news and please hope you still enjoy your lockdown vacation here in our country. Hope nature and people still make you feel freeand safe out there. Godbless
You can buy in a local market cheak peas or garbanzo, black kedney beans and some other or vegies and much cheaper in local market. Have a good one n enjoy thank you for visitng my country Philippines.
I'm pretty much excited what you guys will cook next. I now have the feeling that when you guys settle in Brazil you'll still be cooking Filipino food. :)
You guys are the best!!! So nice couple in middle of the difficult situation!!! Always nice to watching your videos!!! Hope to see you cooking soon!! Maraming salamat!!! 👍🏼😎🇵🇷
I used to be allergic to eggs too. Chicken, dairy and legumes will bring skin rash and it's so freaking itchy. I got rid of it by doing intermittent fasting. you can give it a try, its effective
Nice to see those places around you. Thanks for showing those. And that place in the beach, we never get tired of seeing it that is always one of the highlights of your vlogs. How about your salabat tea with calamansi did you like it, how about carol? That big spider is so big we also have those here in our house it is so scary when it runs towards you it is really fast.
🌟 great to see you both again and healthy 🌟 I counted 57 push ups HAHA 🤸♂️ So I was shocked at $ 8 plus dollars for yentals, I was like wow that is a lot. I have a lbs of them and it cost me $ 3.63 . Just nice to see you put a video out here and there to make sure you both are doing ok. I was hoping that you were going to get your feet wet but I understand. Got a vlogger dustin in a village under quarantine and a family took him in till its over. I see it being hard because there is a close bond now and love for each other. It will be hard for him when it comes time because the oldest daughter fell for dustin. I love how they all help each other. So this has to be the best place to be, is in the Philippines. Our love to Carolina and you Chris. My blessings to your families🌴🙏🌴🇧🇷

Good evening greetings here from Morocco..stay safe on our country..
I always enjoy your videos ! I like seeing what the stores have as well.
I can strongly recommend Giri/Haji as an excellent TV series. Best of last year.
Enjoy the rest of your stay here in the Phil. even during ECQ/ GCQ but stay safe!
Good that you are keeping in touch! Surprised that your hair is so long thought you would just shave it

Nice food. I am Adeel Riaz from Karachi Pakistan. God bless you and your family
I like the way it is done there very simple life and still can go around unlike here where I am in Japan it is not easy to go to the beach. I am a from the Phil. I miss the tropical. Thanks for this Take care
