I used to save change and I would do $1 challenges. I just felt that they were a pain. I'd save coins for a year and have around $100 and it just wasn't worth rolling the coins. So I use my change to pay exact change when I use cash. I love using up change! Also I round everything up or down to end in 0 or 5. So if I spend on a card $23 in beauty and 42 in groceries, I either pay $25 beauty and $40 groceries or $20 beauty and $45 groceries. I figure it all washes out in the end
You could round up your expenses when writting them down in your tracker, that way you don't mess with ones and build up a little bit at a time your account buffer

Hey Emily, great video as always.❤ Wanted to know how come you dont just round up to the nearest tenth instead of being spot on.? I always find it a pain to make change and try to make sure its the right amount going back to the bank.
Oh gosh! I would love to know what washable rugs you like on Amazon! I have BIG dog and I agree…washable is best! I am always afraid to make the commitment on some on Amazon (I know I can return but PIA)

Have spent all week learning from you, Emily! 😊One thing I still don’t completely understand: what’s unstuffing and why is it done? Is it the same as condensing? Or is it something u do specifically to balance what u spent online with your actual cash? I think it’s the last thing for me to grasp about this method 😊
Great job!! The unstuffing is different then cash condensing, what I’m doing in this video is pulling cash out of my sinking funds to put back into the bank to replenish the money I spent online with my debit card 🖤

That’s what I thought in the end but wanted to make sure ☺️☺️ Emily, thank u for taking time to respond (I’ve done RUclips for 12 years, I know the work!) and for all your great videos and beautiful shop creations! So far I can use your digital downloads since it’s too expensive to order things to Europe from the US (the shipping plus import taxes), but, girl, you do have the most beautiful supplies! We don’t get a lot of European Etsy shops or they are in the UK, which, after brexit, it’s the same as ordering from the US! 😅

This a random question but why do you cover half your hands while filming videos? I've seen other budget video's that do the same thing.
I do the same thing in day to day life, and it’s just a comfort thing for me. I like being able to hold the sleeve, or I have it pushed right up to my elbow, out of the way. Hate when it’s just on my wrists for some reason.
I can’t speak for other people but I have two reasons.
1) I hate my hands and have always been self conscious of them so I’ve covered them up with my sleeves since I was little.
2) I hate the way it feels when my sleeves are sitting on my wrists

okay so what do you do in the case that you dont have enough denominations to take out the exact amount of each envelope
That’s why I have extra cash to make a change from, but if I don’t have the exact amount from that, I just do my best 🖤 life is too short to worry about one dollar bills and five dollar bills 🤌🏼

See, I don't understand why you pull money out of the bank for "sinking finds" just to bring it back to the bank?
I do it because it’s easier for me to know what I have in each category when I have tangible cash, and I am usually spending cash right out of the envelope but sometimes it’s just not possible with places like Amazon. It’s my way of creating new habits because if it’s all in our bank account I feel like I have more then I actually do and I overspend
I don`t really understand your cash system. Why you put out the money what you`ve spent to put it back into the sinking funds a week later or so?
I do it, because for me and my husband, we cash stuff to manage our money, and know how much we are spending 🖤 we’re in the process of replacing bad habits with good ones
