- CDPR has released today the long awaited REDKit moddig tools in closed beta which you can apply to on Steam that allows you to customize and expand the game as you see fit. From overhauling terrain to creating new quests, animations, characters, and more!

Honestly it’s a genius move by project red. They probably took a look at the modding community that Skyrim has and went “we could make our game have equal longevity”
I was just thinking this as I was scrolling through the comments, this can be this generations Skyrim and CDPR appear to have recognized that wish to capitalize on it.
They probably looked at the modding community of Cyberpunk too as they enabled it themselves.
The Sands of Ofir DLC could be very real now
Mods were already amazing for stuff like magic spells adding 30 spells to geralt, but the lacking part was always content in the form of questing and conditions. Cannot wait for this, as it'll allow for new regions, entire new questlines etc.
This may go very well with AI-generated character dialogue, yes? 🙏

Imagine they make a mod for Kovir, Dol Blathanna or other places, maybe import Vizima from previous games.

So many idiotic and futureless MODs out there, someone, please make a mod for Gerald's Companion Ciri to accompany him on foot and on horseback to explore the map and battles.
That'll be awesome, because Ciri does travel with Geralt after the story mode in the Witcher's ending
@@stefansunur377 I know friends this "MOD MULTI COMPANION AND MULTI COMPANION ENHACED" thank you but it is very full of sub-folders and many files and is not a dedicated mod and only generates 1 or 2 companions like Ciri and Yen for example, but rather a mod with many modifications to insert additional characters and more. I thank and admire the creators of both mods but there should be a mod or some companion mods that are simpler and separate from the current and unique MULTI companions that they have. It's incredible not to see a mod in NEXUS that does this and spawns Ciri as Gerald's companion and I believe that many would like and download such a mod.

Hopefully we will be able to improve visually the game (a lot more lol). Next gen updates made a lot of cool lighting and visual mods incompatible. :(

Yeah, would be cool but doubt they would ever give away millions invested in it. What they said in their partnership some Red engine solutions will be implemented into UE5, which will be interesting to see how UE5 benefits.
I wish CDPR would do a Star Wars game similar to Witcher 3
My feeling is larger game companies should do this from the start, because if you get your tooling good enough so that the community can use it, then your own devs will be incredibly productive

"Witcher 3 redkit is *currently* only available for pc users" sounds like they might go the Bethesda route by making limited approved by them mods available to outside pc versions for people to download or im overthinking it

I kinda wanna learn to use this modding tool. I cant find a game that i love so much since 2015. I can be creative, haven't been for a long while but hey i could change that. i wanna make new quests for myself to play, maybe dumb meme joke type of mods too, i dunno, a mudslide competition mod? Angry Birds clone but we sling Geralt around lol xD

It’s difficult for me to master this REDkit editor on my own because I don’t know English well. But I really love this game, and still I would like to try to figure it out. I have several questions that I haven't found answers to anywhere. Maybe someone here can help? 1) Is the editor compatible with the classic version of the game 1.31-1.32 or is it only intended for next-gen edition 4.0? 2) If I try to load buildings in the White Garden exactly according to the instructions from the textbook, but for some reason they don’t appear, although I do everything as written, what could be the reason? For exemple, in the list it says “Tavern”, I select the “load group” command for it, and although the item is then highlighted as loaded, there is no building on the screen. 3) Is it possible to add a new quest to the Toussaint location? And what is it called in the list of locations in the editor itself? I searched for a long time, but couldn’t find it. Thank you.

I think such tools should be released in the first 6-12 months of game release. They could then release paid DLC with new mechanics and further new content

Most likely yeah, but that depends from modder to modder. But being that nexus is huge and good for traffic I think most mods will go there, being that technically its going to be the same file.

No. The community's only been releasing breadcrumbs do far.
Many tools were almost fan-made.
Until they fix the RT bugs and crazy texture/shadow flickering on PC, this is useless, fix your game CDPR.
Dont let this distract you from thw fact that they're planning on using AI generated assets in the witcher 4, the next game is going to suck
every single company in the world is going to leverage AI at least for creative duplication or expansion. Why would anyone make an entire forest when you can make 3 trees, and have a full unique forest done instantly. You're in denial ...
