To me it is the best rose fragrance out of all I tried for sure. Top 3 fragrance I've smelled (along with Jubilation XXV & Grand Soir)

While Portrait of a Lady is not one that I personally would wear, I do love it and absolutely see why it is a modern classic. The decant I got to test it I sent to my mum and it’s a staple of hers now. So I get I smell it and love it on others, just how I prefer.
Ive got this but while it is without doubt as good as it gets with a rose out combo I do think Floral Sculpture is up there with POAL and at half the price its a no brainer. Both are fab

Greetings from Texas! I'm checking out your older presentations, and am enjoying these. POAL is one of my absolute favorite all time fragrances! It smells fantastic on my wife, and I wear it from time to time as well. Agree that it is unisex. Beast mode, and a scent to die for! Keep fragrancing!
I get heavy clove in opening and rose creeps in after 1hr. It's a masterpiece.

Nice review I just purchased Portrait Of a Lady, and Musc Ravageur by Fredric Malle today, I am just a fan and I can't help but collect exotic Nich Brands. I am Blind buying it so I got both in the 1.7oz bottles; I heard thats all I will need as both are long lasting and very powerful.

POAL is one of those fragrances that can work magic on your skin chemistry or smell like a bar of soap according to some… I am a lucky man bc this is one of the best rose / incense type fragrances on me and I love it! Not too feminine at all.

5:41 no you are correct, I just ordered a sample of this off Frederick Malle website (2024) and it’s one of the most potent fragrances I’ve ever smelled. 2 sprays on the back of hand will over power any other fragrance you are testing on your body, even musk raveguer

I hardly smell rose in the new version, more incense and sandalwood
I wore it once so far. I wasn't really impressed but I'll try again. Oh and I mean in regards to my personal taste. It's a masterpiece no doubt but may not be signature worthy for me. Lyric for men by amouge which I wore the following day was much more appealing to my senses though quite different of course but mentionable simply because i would easily put that in my top 10 while many may not while portrait of a lady seems to be a top 10 pick in terms of niche on more massive scale.
Musc ravageur is next on my list from this house.
