  • Unfortunately these trees were plant in this tiny back garden and were going to get way too big! So the homeowner called me in to remove them. This was a shame as they were nice trees but in the wrong position!
    Thanks for watching🙂👍

I’ll never understand why people plant such large trees in small gardens and right next to fences and buildings. Trees need room to grow and spread. They should be planted where they won’t do damage to foundations, plumbing, etc. So sad to see these cut down but it really was necessary. The maple was beautiful.

I wouldn't watch as it is too heartbreaking - can see from the photo those trees individually were truly magnificent but planted much too close to each other - the maple could easily have stayed and has no one heard of cutting lower branches off? Read several comments and people are generally disgusted, as everyone should be. People please plant a tree for pleasure, birds and our environment but think carefully where to plant it thinking away into future.

You did a great job, but whoever planted these trees and shrubs would have saved themselves and future owners a lot of time and money by choosing more appropriate plants for the space. Why plant a tree with an eventual diameter of 30 feet or more 2 feet from a fence or a neighbor's garage? Think, people! The remaining trees should come out, too. They will grow to cause the same issues. Dear homeowner: Choose dwarf varieties of shrubs, and plant them as far away from the fence as half their adult diameter: For example, a shrub that will be 6 feet in diameter when fully grown should be planted at least 3 feet from the fence.

You have obviously never seen the damage roots can do to a homes foundation walls. Think 6-8" diameter roots coming into yours or a neighbors foundation. Also damage to any plumbing pipes, easily cracked open and clogged, causing water seepage, backup issues inside, leaves clogging the gutters and water/ice backup , roots uplifting lawn area and decking. We had two maple trees , one on each corner of our house removed. Ten years later we are still trying to remove 8" roots from the garden area . They disappear under the deck. Luckily we stopped any roots from entering the basement here in Canada.

These bags are what the local council used to collect green waste from properties. They don’t use them anymore so I have collected them over the years to use for work 😊👍

great cleanup job, I usually like the chipper, but this one ws very awkward, it needed to tilt to bring the feeder chute to waist height and the exit chute to feed straight into the bins.

That has made me sooo sad, beautiful shaped trees gone in an instant, do people not know how important trees are, they looked healthy, not everything has to be pristine. Sorry if I had been you I would have refused the job, could not watch all your video😢😢😢

Criminal lack of sense to destroy such beauty,
. The trees were obviously planted to hide the roof of adjoining buildings, so now the back garden will be as arid and dull as the front. People should not buy property with gardens if they really want a bare site, buy a plot on an abandoned airfield. This contractor was just doing a job. An environmental tragedy. A decently designed garden increases the value of a property.

If it was a very very large back yard yes leave the trees, but a small tiny yard yes I agree with the owner to be cut down as it would have caused a lot of proplems and money to remove them in the future and causing root problems in there drainage, but great job guys

I know trees are important and I have 2 small trees in my garden however having suffered for many years from neighbours conifers plunging our garden into darkness and a self seeded sycamore overhanging and the leaves to contend with the neighbours will be glad these have gone. Small gardens are not the place for trees and conifers are not a back garden tree

This is a wise decision on the part of the owners, the trees are far too big and too powerful for the small garden. It's always stupid when people don't find out beforehand which trees are suitable for their garden!

the trees are beautiful but take up too much room in a small garden. It's always a worry what they can do to the foundations.
