- Unfortunately these trees were plant in this tiny back garden and were going to get way too big! So the homeowner called me in to remove them. This was a shame as they were nice trees but in the wrong position!
Thanks for watching🙂👍

I’ll never understand why people plant such large trees in small gardens and right next to fences and buildings. Trees need room to grow and spread. They should be planted where they won’t do damage to foundations, plumbing, etc. So sad to see these cut down but it really was necessary. The maple was beautiful.
I know it frustrates me to come and find a garden looking like this. People don’t understand how things grow! 😕👍
Agree 100% with you. Such a shame to watch them be mowed down.😕🥾🥾
I’m sure the trees were small when planted and they grew 😂😂😂😂😂
Aw shame about the red maple ☹️
Yes I know we were hoping to keep that but the building inspector said it had to go! 😔
Shame😢 we need the trees.
It's a shame about them all! Beautiful trees but planted in the wrong pllace & too close together.
@@mariawartz5467p
Ditto 😢😮😕
Broke my heart to see the red maple cut down and too bad it couldn't be dug up and find a new home 😢. You did a great job there.👍
I know would loved to have kept it!
Thanks for watching 😊
I agree. I needed it in my yard. I love trees and I love the shade they provide. That was a beautiful tree.
Cutting down all trees is a shame. Would have been a nice sitting area with the maple tree shade.
I know!😬😕
Lovely trees but definitely very crowded. It is a smaller yard so I can understand why they want some removed. Nice to see you brought a chipper with you. Excellent job!
Yes, thank you😄👍
It's a garden
Ohhh, this makes me CRY!
🤦♂️
What a waste of good trees. I could see thinning them out but to remove them all was a shame.
I know!😕🤷♂️
Sadly you have to do as the homeowner wants.
I believe he said the root system was interfering with neighbors. Would be interesting to know what he recommends for replacements.
Good job was a lot of work for one person you did awesome.
Thanks👍
Certainly kept me busy that day😂
@@mdgardenservices7819 sure it did again that was so much work for only you many blessings.
This was incredibly sad to see such beautiful trees removed. Just being beautiful. Heartless indeed.
Sorry had to be done!!😬🤷♂️
It is sad, but they were much to big for the yard. More suited to parkland really.
I think the lower branches ( up to the fence line) needed to be lopped off & the trees could have stayed. IMO. 👍
Tosser.
@@redjelly8321 --that was my first thought. I wonder if that idea was pitched to the owner...??
Great job, so patient and meticulous. Sad about the Maple tree 🌲😢
Thank you😊
It was sad for it to go!😕
They could have just trimmed it. Nice trees
It would still be a problem down the line!😕
Could have pruned them up from the bottom so the owner could walk under them. They did give privacy.
We decided that they would still get too big and also the customer wanted to get some better shrubs growing 🙂
Sad, the trees hid the horrible fence and nasty view of neighbours roof.
I know but unfortunately had to go! They will be replaced with more manageable shrubs 🙂
Awww, made me tear up. Such , beautiful trees.😢
I know!😕
What a shame beautifull healthy trees gone
I know😕
It’s a disgrace.
Its a shame that blue spruce had to go. The previous owners didn't plan well and the trees paid the price. At this point, I'd just clear the yard. Start over completely. Sad.😮💨
I know, it’s a shame any of them had to go.
The customer is going to replant more appropriate sized shrubs🙂
Those were beautiful trees! Too bad you couldn't limb them up and ask again. Haha... customer is always right! Good work! ❤
I know!!
Shame they were planted in such a small place😔🤷♂️
I like how you mulched all the debris up. I would of put it back in the garden beds so you wouldn’t have to haul any away. Great job mate !
Thanks
Mulch is going on another job👍😊
And fresh mulch draws nitrogen out of the soil. It needs stacking for a year or so
So enjoyed watching you do your work! So methodical! So neat! So by your plan! Thanks for filming and showing!
Great job...
Thanks so much! 😊
I’m glad you enjoyed watching 👍
You did a lot of work here !!! 😲🏋🏽♂️🏋🏽♂️🏋🏽♂️💥 you’re an awesome detailed worker ! 💗💗
Thank you🤗
Why are you whispering? Your audio levels are all over the place. Very difficult to get a comfortable listening level. Just being honest.
Sorry I have just gotten a microphone to try out👍
Awww...this made me sick to see the beautiful trees go....was there no way to trim them back instead? That beautiful Red Maple.
I did explain it!🤷♂️
Beautiful trees, but yes you are correct they need to be in a larger area. I like the idea of bringing the shredder so it doesn't sit out in front of someone's house on the front yard for someone to come and get it, or the homeowner has to dispose of it themselves.
I think you did a great job!
Thank you for watching😊
Always sad when something so nice has been put in the wrong place!😔

I know everyone is upset cutting them down but I was actually jealous I couldn’t have a go at cutting 1 of those trees down 🤣
😆👍
I know these things look cute in a two litre pot at the garden centre, but do some homework and find out what they're going to grow into. Such a waste.😢
Yes it’s a real shame as they are nice trees! Would be better suited to a large garden🙂
The previous owners of our house planted the most inappropriate bushes in our little garden. All are far far too big and crowded together! We are slowly trying to reduce them, but most don’t like being so heavily pruned.
😥 did this in my own yard. Have to get them cut down also. At the time, thought it would take decades to grow large. It didn't. 🤢
Yes what a shame to destroy beautiful trees. Planning ahead wasn’t!
So sad seeing those gorgeous trees cut down. Looks so stark and barren now.
I now it was sad to see them go but the customer has replanted with more sensible shrubs and plants 😊
Sooooooo sad about these beautiful trees. Now the back yard looks ugly. Probably could have been some trimming done instead. Damn shame.
Trimming could have been done but long term they would have been a problem still!🤷♂️
@QuiltLady yes I agree with you completely
What a shame , such beautiful trees, they should be in a wide open spacious garden. What a waste 😢
I know! Some people have no idea what they are planting! 😬
It’s a crime.
Beautiful trees that were destined to become more beautiful and offer wonderful shade. What a shame .
I know they would have been great in the correct position!😔
OMG! I am horrified that that person wanted to gave those beautiful, wonderful trees removed. All that was needed is a trim. I am saddened that the Japanese 🍁 Maple meant nothing to this careless person
Trees are very important to our environment. They filter dust, debris as well as giving us shade & carbon dioxide. How can anyone in their right mind have such disregard to something so intregal. You should have tried to convince them of not removing it. I'm disappointed. 😢
Yes they work wonders on house foundations
I know it was sad to have to remove them all but even trimmed they would eventually get too big! These trees need a lot of space to fulfil their full potential 😕
@@brianhume4743 And plumbing! 😬
@@kwells8807 yup
Looks so much better with the trees gone. Opens up the backyard.
😊👍
The rest were too big, yes, but I think cutting the lower branches of the red maple was enough. Shame on that.
Yes it was unfortunate 😕
Very meticulous and steady work! Wins the race every time… Wonderful contractor! Would hire him in a minute!
Thank you 🤗
It looked like some forest expanded a bit in that garden. For me it's beautiful and precious but unfortunately it's on private property and the owner... I'd rather not go there and say mean things.
Hard work for you anyway 😓
Yes it’s a shame they were not planted on a bigger property!😕
Lovely trees and such a shame they had to go, but totally understandable. They are far too big for such a small garden ☹️
Yes it was a shame but planted in the wrong garden!😔
I cried when that beautiful maple tree was cut down 😢
It was a real shame!😕😕
My parents had planted large trees indiscriminately on their 1/2 acre lot - roots were undermining the house & garage foundation, encroaching on neighbors’ yards, etc.. Long story short, we quite counting at removing 25 fully developed trees from the property
Yeah unfortunately I don’t think people realise the scale of these trees once they get going!😬
So sad…..
MD SERVICES did a wonderful job taking these trees down.
Beautiful trees, just in the wrong place.
I know! 😔
😢😢😢😢
I know! 😕
Good work and great fire wood next year.
Thanks 😊👍
I wouldn't watch as it is too heartbreaking - can see from the photo those trees individually were truly magnificent but planted much too close to each other - the maple could easily have stayed and has no one heard of cutting lower branches off? Read several comments and people are generally disgusted, as everyone should be. People please plant a tree for pleasure, birds and our environment but think carefully where to plant it thinking away into future.
Yes unfortunately they were not thinking when these were planted.
If you know what these trees are you will know how big they get!
The maple was planted to close to the neighbours garage wall !
It was a shame🤷♂️
By all means get rid of those conifers, but I would have refused to cut down that beautiful maple. No longer crowded by the conifer thuggery, it would have enhanced that ugly garden. A light judicious pruning was all it needed, and a root barrier 1.5m from the trunk.
I know but unfortunately the building regulations meant it had to go!😕
Now her front yard looks like SHYT!! those trees just needed some trimming; I would rather see trees than my neighbor's roof.
No matter how much you trim them they are much too big for the space they are planted in! Remember theses types of trees also have a massive root system!
Not a good idea so close to houses 🤷♂️
Very enjoyable video!!! You are so organized in the process!!!
Thanks👍
Slow according to some people!😄
Not much for the birds and wildlife in that garden.
Till there are new shrubs growing!😄
You did a great job, but whoever planted these trees and shrubs would have saved themselves and future owners a lot of time and money by choosing more appropriate plants for the space. Why plant a tree with an eventual diameter of 30 feet or more 2 feet from a fence or a neighbor's garage? Think, people! The remaining trees should come out, too. They will grow to cause the same issues. Dear homeowner: Choose dwarf varieties of shrubs, and plant them as far away from the fence as half their adult diameter: For example, a shrub that will be 6 feet in diameter when fully grown should be planted at least 3 feet from the fence.
Thank you 👍
Finally someone who understands how large these trees are going to be!!
I wish there were more like you!😊
Thanks for watching 👍
I would have cut down the Christmas tree one also it’s way to close to the fence. They were all too big for the space and all crowed together. Good job!
They were all too big for the space!
I don’t think people realise what they are going to become!😅👍
Nice job on the felling and shredding.
The bags/sacks of shred material can be sold for a few quid as it makes braw path mulch, despite the amount of evergreen. Don't suppose you could ship up to Edinburgh???
Thanks👍
Sheddings are already to be used at another customer 😄
😅
I understand he was hired to do a job. However, what a heartless homeowner. Just trim them down and give them shape, no need to chop them down. Now is a souless garden. No privacy. No greens. No shelter for birds.
More shrubs will be replanted. They could not have grown there much longer as the roots are too destructive!! 😕🤷♂️
Let's see how many trees can I kill today?
These trees are 15 years old. Not 300 year old oaks! 🤷♂️
I totally agree that it was a shame to cut down these trees but the logic behind it was sound . They should never have been planted there in the first place . However it did make for a very interesting video .
Glad you liked the video 😊
Definitely the wrong trees in the wrong place unfortunately!
I would’ve kept the red maple and limbed it up. Such ashame 😢
Would have been nice😕
New ho m e owner should have just trimmed them up. I think she was very unsmart!!!
Yes but her decision 🤷♂️
Such a shame! I would have been happy with a bunch of the bottom branches removed on most of those beauties. For a few more years anyway.
Yes me too but customer wants it to manageable and with nicer shrubs. Also she was not a fan of conifers!🙂
Imagine how far the root systems of those trees extended into the neighbours' yards, and even under their house. Asking for trouble there!
Exactly 😬👍
Too bad the trees had to come down, but it was a must for such a small yard. Makes the yard look larger.
Yes it was a shame that the wrong sort of trees were put in! And too many!😔
Perché tagliare alberi sani e belli?
Portano frescura
Danno privacy
Rendono più stabile il terreno
Abbelliscono il giardino
Se sono troppo grandi si possono portare ma non tagliare completamente . Io non capisco!😤
These trees were always going to get too big for the garden!
What a fantastic job, you must have been worn out, kudos my friend.
Thanks
It was tiring 😄👍
Were they checked for nesting birds?
Yes indeed 👍
I also was sad to see the Red Maple go!
I know 😬
I would try to see if they can save those trees. there are machinery out there that can relocate those trees someplace else. Trees take time to grow. Cutting them down is only the last measure
Yes that stuff is big and expensive and would not fit into this tiny garden!
Yes it is a shame people plant such beautiful big trees in the wrong place in the wrong yard. Love your chainsaw, right tool for the job for sure.
Thanks 👍😊
No need to remove the red tree in the rear, It would not have taken over anything. What a shame.
Yes sadly it had to go due to planning regulations!🤷♂️
You have obviously never seen the damage roots can do to a homes foundation walls. Think 6-8" diameter roots coming into yours or a neighbors foundation. Also damage to any plumbing pipes, easily cracked open and clogged, causing water seepage, backup issues inside, leaves clogging the gutters and water/ice backup , roots uplifting lawn area and decking. We had two maple trees , one on each corner of our house removed. Ten years later we are still trying to remove 8" roots from the garden area . They disappear under the deck. Luckily we stopped any roots from entering the basement here in Canada.
Yes they have very strong shallow roots!😬
Cracking job mate looks miles better and let’s loads more light into the garden
Have a nice weekend mate
Thanks mate👍
You too 🙂
Hi how much was that job
Recently bought a Milwaukee M12 Hatchet for pruning and small scale limbing, works really well in confined spaces! Funny how these jobs don't look much, until you do them and realise how much waste there is!😂
Yeah these jobs don’t look bad until you get it all on the ground!😅👍
Great chipper as it can be used in back gardens easily neat job, accurate tree removal well done 👏👏👏👍🤗✅
Thanks 👍
I hated to see the red maple go. But…
I know I did try to get the customer to save it but the roots were actually tarting to head under the neighbours garage!😔
Nice work, where did you get the green waste bags and what is size and cost, cheers
These bags are what the local council used to collect green waste from properties. They don’t use them anymore so I have collected them over the years to use for work 😊👍
You have done a nice job. 🎉
Thank you! 😊👍
The birds are going, what the heck!!😂
😬😄
hello, this is the first time you're doing something like this
What do you think?😄
😮😮😮😮😮
Sad to witness this job. Beautiful specimens. Bad planning with original owner. Blessings.
Yes a shame such lovely trees in the wrong place😩
great cleanup job, I usually like the chipper, but this one ws very awkward, it needed to tilt to bring the feeder chute to waist height and the exit chute to feed straight into the bins.
I know, would love a better one but they are very expensive!😔
I might have tried trimming first
👍
Good ,safe job
Thanks😊
Lovely confident job.....shame to see them cut down but maintain trees, especially in a small garden.😮
Thanks😄
That has made me sooo sad, beautiful shaped trees gone in an instant, do people not know how important trees are, they looked healthy, not everything has to be pristine. Sorry if I had been you I would have refused the job, could not watch all your video😢😢😢
Sorry
People need to learn how to plant the correct things in the right place 🤷♂️😔
What a shame! I would have loved to have them in my garden. But then if you have a family of 10 you could not have a dining table big enough ... oh come on this is ridiculous cutting down those lovely trees and have that ugly fence to look at! She has no taste....🙋🏼♀️🇱🇺
I know but some nice shrubs will be replanted 👍
Beurk! Que c’est laid une clôture comme ça! Pourquoi ne pas avoir suggéré d’élaguer d’abord, d’y être allé par étapes?
I did but the customer decided that they would still have to come out eventually! So decided to start again with manageable shrubs🙂
Koliko oduzete lepote i kiseonika!!!! Kakva šteta!!! Prostor je dehumanizovan skroz!!!
Not my decision but the customer!🤷♂️
Criminal lack of sense to destroy such beauty,
. The trees were obviously planted to hide the roof of adjoining buildings, so now the back garden will be as arid and dull as the front. People should not buy property with gardens if they really want a bare site, buy a plot on an abandoned airfield. This contractor was just doing a job. An environmental tragedy. A decently designed garden increases the value of a property.
I think they were planted not knowing what they were and how big they would get!!
It’s a shame but there will be new shrubs planted 👍
I can understand new owners wanting it there way, badly planted in the first place, one should check growing size before planting any trees, good job..
I know I wish people would do this first! 🤦♂️👍
It's a shame the lovely trees had to be cut down but you did a fantastic job as usual, and the garden looks bigger and better now.
Thank you
It was a shame such nice trees had been put in a tiny garden!😔
Such a shame
I know!😕
Why not prune them up from the ground just above the height of the fence. That's animal habitat and shade. I don't get it at all.
Would not solve the problem long term!
Also nothing will grow underneath them!🤷♂️
As a bonsai enthusiast this made me cry 😢 lol😂😂
Seriously good job mate!!
This is actually one of my favourite jobs
Thanks👍
What is wrong with people with nature trees! Why bother saving anything if don’t want most of them. I had 3 scotch pine trees at my old house and they cut them all down! Really sad.
It is sad I know!😔
I would have trimmed what I could.
I had elderly neighbors behind us who cut all the evergreen trees down about 12.
I was heart sick 😫
A few years later, they said they should have left the trees... dah!
Their house was very cold in the winter without the trees as a wind break😢
Oh no
You have to decide if it’s the correct decision 😬
If it was a very very large back yard yes leave the trees, but a small tiny yard yes I agree with the owner to be cut down as it would have caused a lot of proplems and money to remove them in the future and causing root problems in there drainage, but great job guys
Yes unfortunately it was a case of wrong trees in the wrong place 🤦♂️😔
I know trees are important and I have 2 small trees in my garden however having suffered for many years from neighbours conifers plunging our garden into darkness and a self seeded sycamore overhanging and the leaves to contend with the neighbours will be glad these have gone. Small gardens are not the place for trees and conifers are not a back garden tree
I know it’s a shame when people let things get out of control!
Unfortunately most of our gardens are too small for grand trees like this!
😊
its a pitty people dont ask for advice from somone who knows what to plant in a small garden, those trees was very beautifull..
I know if people checked before planting things it would save things be put in totally the wrong place!
This is a wise decision on the part of the owners, the trees are far too big and too powerful for the small garden. It's always stupid when people don't find out beforehand which trees are suitable for their garden!
I know ! I do wish people would find out what they are planting first!😩
Could of reduced the high of them would of saved from being taken down now the garden looks stupid
Just doing what the customer wants 🤷♂️
Фу, даже смотреть нет желания! И лайк не поставлю, позор хозяину! Варвары!
I know but unfortunately those trees were going to get way too big for where they were planted!😬🫣
I had to take deep breaths to watch even a little bit of the job. Yes the trees were too big for that space, but so very beautiful. I had to stop watching.😢😢😢😢
I know they were lovely trees that had been put in a really bad position! 😬
Understand that the large trees had to go as they were not planted in great spots. Don't know why you topped that "christmas" tree, not a recommended practice, and now it looks horrid.
Thanks
I know I think the customer wanted to keep 1 tree but didn’t want it getting bigger! I know it looked awful but it will grow 😊👍
the trees are beautiful but take up too much room in a small garden. It's always a worry what they can do to the foundations.
Yes and all of these are shallow rooted trees!😬
